Taker is hands down the best gimmick. He didn't always have the best matches, but when he did they were legendary. And his gimmick was ridiculous but done well enough to the point even when they hit the Ruthless Aggression and even PG era he still felt kind of real.

It took him some time, in his 40s he was putting on a lot of really good matches once he had a bigger move set. But early on yeah only with Shawn Michaels, Kane and Bret Hart was he having fun ones.

Austin,rock,hhh,foley,kane,vader,hogan,nash? .I just burned the entire main event card of attitude era in the comparison of in ring talent when compared to "bad match taker" according to you. MF was delivering flying clotheslines and top rope dives into opponent/s when indie spot fest darlings were in the womb and austin could't raise his knees above the crotch of his opponents to deliver a stunner.

Later during the new Generation Kurt Angle delivered some great Wrestling matches too. Austin was really good too, before his injury. He and Bret had a great one at Survivor Series and later a classis at Mania 13.

Taker only truly started doing consistent great work after 2004-2005 or so. Before that, he was told to wrestle as a typical big man
