I have yet to hear any arrogance save for Kennedy. Although the 2 I'm going to touch base with are on opposite sides of the spectrum I feel the 2 interviews that really affected me are Kyle Carpenter and Development group k9 handler Will Chesney "Cheese. Cheese and Cairo were on the UBL raid. Yet the way Mr. Chesney speaks, there's a complete lack of arrogance and he speaks with authenticity
That's because he is legit! Great guy and his attitude is infectious and we need more men like him out in public speaking and exposing young men to real heroes and men they can look up to.
This mans book has helped me through some very dark times im not very proud of ,but I can tell you im proud I came out the other side , thank you mister carpenter my family and I are for ever grateful ,and thank you mike for making thin interview happen sir God bless
I’m not a person that is star struck but when I had the opportunity to shake this MEDAL of HONOR recipients hand it took a bit of self coaching to approach him and he couldn’t have been a nicer more humble human! Thanks to you both for your service!🇺🇸
An amazing man Kyle Carpenter is. Squared away upstanding Marine. I am a proud daughter of a late Marine. Great guest Mike, you sure pick badass HEROS, thank you for your service, Both of you 🇺🇸 very grateful for you!
This marine is special. God bless him and thank you for having him on Mike. Obama did a great job giving him the Medal of Honor and I’m not an Obama fan. And thanks for the dog food really helped my dogs a lot stop scratching and better coat.
My son is active duty USMC and is deploying soon. It comforts me that he’s got brothers like Kyle with him. God Bless. Thanks Mike, another awesome job
Words can't explain how much I enjoyed this interview, Kyle is such a well thought person and says what he means. If we could all be alittle like Kyle, this world would be an amazing place.
Hearing Kyle talk about Pedro made me think back to hearing Jocko talking about them in a podcast before, saying they would fly in "with a reckless disregard for their own lives" to medevac wounded, just gives me chills.
Man he is a beautiful soul. I could listen to him talk endlessly and never feel the need to rush him. Mike couldn't have done any better letting Mr Kyle take his time saying whatever he had to.
Such a powerful episode , brought tears to my eyes a dozen times! Thank you both for your service and sacrifices. Kyle is extremely well spoken! Definitely my favorite episode!
Semper Fi brother Kyle. I have seen quiete a few of his podcasts, over the last few years, it never gets old. Eating a grenade for breakfast, to safe your buddy. Super hero.
An hour in, just want to say 1. This guy can tell a story. When he told about his arrival at the island you can see it. 2. He's very soft spoken, which makes him easy to listen to. Looking forward to hearing his story. Def one of the best speakers you've had on. Later: I really felt it when he said he's disappointed he couldn't take every bit of it for Nick. 😭 Great interview, Mike. Thanks for letting him talk. Finished. This guy deserves it. Not for what he did, but for how humble he is.
Ive watched a ton of Military podcasts with so many great hero's... Ive seen almost every one Kyle has done, the ones I know of anyway. He has really taken on the role of a Medal of Honor Recipient and seems to have embraced it more than most. Every time you hear him speak he is so humble, appreciative, thankful to be alive, and an inspiration...Never any drama surrounding him or any appearances he does, no woe is me talk ever (which he certainly has earned if he wanted to). He is a Marine so Im sure he has said his fair share of swear words but Ive never heard him say one in an interview..After all he has gone through, his outlook on life is refreshing. He reminds me of a young version of Herschel "Woody" Williams. Semper Fi Cpl Carpenter!
Thank you gentlemen!! Wish every single person in America would listen to this. It is very humbling to hear this. Also, the every day things that people call problems are so selfish and insignificant. Thank you both for your service and sacrifice and thank you both for making this world a better place.
Gamecock nation couldn't be more proud of Kyle. What a wonderful human being! God has big plans for him and his leadership. Another great episode, Mike. You are hands down my favorite podcaster. Thanks for all you do!
Damn, Kyle, didn't realize we joined the same year. Was an awesome interview and thanks for taking the time to walk everyone through your experiences. Semper Fi.
I adore your channel. I can’t believe how absolutely strong these men are. I mean we know our service members are ‘the best’ of our men, but these interviews show just what mental and physical fortitude is. For such young men they have so much heart snd soul💙❤️thank you all for standing for us in every kind of insanity.
Thank you for this podcast Mike. Thank you Kyle for being such a great guy. This is the second podcast of you i have heard today about you. I have also ordered your book today. I wish you all very best. Absolutely incredible!.
I usually listen to Mike Drop while driving but I had to redownload TH-cam to see Kyle. He’s an inspiration on so many levels. Army mom & proud but reminds me of why my son almost chose the Marines. Thank you Kyle for your service and sacrifice.
Seeing such a positive attitude from somebody that has plenty of reasons not to, kinda makes me ashamed that i worry about some of the petty things that i sometimes do.
Really goes to show how difficult it is to get promoted in the Marine Corps infantry. The man had to jump on live ordinance just to get promoted to Cpl.
What amazing man you are Kyle . You are an inspiration to so many people . May GOD bless you on your journey . I are a Lion of a man . Thanks for sharing your life and will definitely be getting your book . GOD BLESS
What an exemplary human being. As always, great job Mike, you have a perfect approach for each individual interview. If more ppl here were like Kyle America would be in much better shape.
I’ve done some serious genealogy and I’m pretty closely related to MOH recipient Sgt York via the Pyle side. That same vein goes back to both Pyles Massacre and a relative who was brass with Washington at Yorktown…and also Ernie Pyle in recent times. I had nothing to do with the previous actions of my relatives but honor their actions and feel a sense of responsibility to maintain the standard. War is hell, but it brings about the best of men.
It's incredible how soft spoken and thoughtful Kyle sounds while having the heart of a lion at the same time
I mean is he soft spoken ? Change playback to 1.25 x speed and he sound normal lol
walk softly and carry an M249.
yep, I could take him in a fight...
So I drop him do I get to keep his MoH?
@@catadjusterZ like cod dogtags lmao
@@tylerblalack6684 Hello my friend, I don't understand cod dogtags. Help me out please
Everyone take note on the differences between this guy and the blowhards. He is the real deal, no arrogance, nothing fake, he exudes honor.
Amen to that
I have yet to hear any arrogance save for Kennedy.
He doesn't have to prove anything to any man, he's the real deal
Indeed, I agree, very humble and humbling man. Totally the opposite of another certain Marine MoH recipient
That's because he is legit! Great guy and his attitude is infectious and we need more men like him out in public speaking and exposing young men to real heroes and men they can look up to.
Thanks for having him on, i remember seeing him on Letterman brought tears to my eyes and he made me feel proud to be a Marine, Semper Fi.
Same.
Thanks to all of you. You should be proud.

Will listen to this guys story anytime I see it. Truly inspiring. And Mike frames the interview so well. Pumped for this!

@Red Out “deploying” where to, IRQ, AFG, even SYR are over in terms of combat.
The war just beat this guy up, he is an American hero, a bad ass, and he deserves better than the government we are stuck with.
This man doesn’t need a government to take care of him. He is a force upon himself!

Mike is a great patriot, and a great interviewer as well.. So, he's likely to bring Kyle's story to life in a whole new way
