All 3 of you are what I like to call ANIMALS! You all have sacrificed so much for this country and world and I know I will always be in your debt. It's sad to see that this world/country is going down the drain and there isn't anyone there to pick it up. I wish guys with your morals and bravery could lead this country and bring it into the direction it needs to go in. Salute to all service members 🫡
Hell yes. Shawn is KILLING IT! I don’t k ow what was better Kris/Kristin or Dr. Greer. The guy is pushing boundaries! 👍🏻👊🏻🙏🏻 ~RESPECT~ to all three of you and anyone else who fought for me to talk shit! * My VE “Don’t Censor Me” shirt came yesterday. 🇺🇸
The fact that Cody's mother is sitting in studio with him for the interview just earned him my respect. True grown man shit. Respect and love your parents while you still have them, folks...
Enjoy listening to your podcast. I'm 74 year old Marine Viet Nam vet. Some of the stuff you guys talk about is interesting to me. FYI. The biggest thing I remember coming back from Nam was the culture change. When I went over in 68 it was still kind of short hair and when I got back it was long hair and psychedelics. Listening to the radio on the cab ride from Norton AFB to LAX, the Sharon Tate murder, and Charlie Manson was the news...WTF. I'm glad you guys have the support and treatment available to you that we didn't have then.
We should be hearing your story too. What a time to be alive and wild experience returning home. I'm Canadian, but welcome home. What happened to you guys was despicable.
Born 67. Lived in Hue for 2.5 years During covid. Canadian. ❤u! I wish veterans would go back . Amazing how many American flags you'll see! It's a journey that'll blow your mind.
Cody is the first person I've ever listened to-date (and I'm old) that has truly overcome. There's more to being a warrior than most people know or understand. Keep going!
I saw Cody first on Shawn's show and the dude impressed me so much. Seeing him again on here has only reinforced that. Thanks for getting these guys on here Mike, such a good way to give people an insight into what these badass warriors were doing while the rest of the country was enjoying their cell phones and the internet. There is a reason why Sept 11 was the last major attack, and that's because people like you were standing in the way and taking the hits while we ate pizza and waited 2022 years to really find out what it was like. Thank you.
LoL his shirt is awesome! His story told on Shawn Ryan Show was one of the more intense & eye opening ones told so far. Look forward to listening to him on your show, as always another great guest man! Keep Killin' It, appreciate the great content always being out on Mike Drop!
It’s like I was meant to see this today. Very helpful and insightful information to deal with exactly what I need to deal with. Thank you gentlemen for a wonderful conversation! And thank you for your service!!
This guy looks so different than when he did 4-5 years ago when I first saw him on TH-cam. He didn’t have all the visible tattoos back then and he was built like an NFL lineman. It sounds like he’s doing a lot better now. He’s got one hell of a story.
That was an amazing interview. I thoroughly enjoyed when Cody started talking about self improvement, culture, and the deeper topics. Dude is way wiser than I thought.... That was amazing.
Hands down the best marine veteran interview I’ve ever seen. I really enjoyed hearing Cody’s story. Learned a lot after watching and listening for 4 hours.
Along with multiple comments I also watched the Shawn Ryan show previously! Thought this would just be a repeat, but his story is vast and non repetitive. Well spoken and easy to listen to. Keep up the good work!
Longest podcast I’ve watched. Still couldn’t get enough. This dude Cody is a MFn warrior. Respect to all he has done, is doing, and will do. Mike you are great at what you do. Hell of an interview.
Mike, you have to be the best host with these types of podcasts subjects. Your guests, including Cody, are incredible people and listening to them tell their stories of difficulties and healing from them is helping me through struggles I am dealing with. Thank you.
Hard to imagine a member of the greatest generation and lifetime military accept face and neck tattoos on a man. But if he got past it, chesty would be proud lol
1st Marines baby!! chesty was a BALLER. The fact he limped back off Peleliu with the remainder of his men with a severe leg wound speaks volumes about his leadership.
Mint podcast Mike & Cody. Great questions Mike. Cody you are one interesting dude. It’s fascinating listening to you. You have given me plenty of stuff to think about that’s for sure for my next 52 years as I’m going to live to 104 as well. All the best to you and your family for the future and thanks for sharing so much of your life story.
I’ve been trying to sneak around the Center for Psychedelic Research at the university of Texas where I study (talk to some professors, etc) I wholeheartedly believe that some people can heal this way.
It 100% works in my experience and probably saved my life, the only bad thing at least in my experience is you need to microdose it for periods of time or take a full dose a couple times a year to maintain the benefits and psychedelics including shrooms/cacti/plant based psychedelics are still heavily criminalized in the majority of the country and not easy to get unless you either were or are in that "world" and/or you're internet savy. Even then, you have to do your research to avoid honeypots and scams online so for a lot of the people that need it most it might as well not exist because they're probably not going to have the knowledge/confidence to obtain it, and without experience they're less likely to research how to obtain it, and then even less likely to pay the money for it especially if its "legal" and expensive in the form of a out of country trip or something like mindbloom. It drives me insane because I know how to get my hands on it and could really use some micro dosing right now but at the same time I'm hesitant to get some because part of the reason I'm in the position I'm in right now is that I got arrested for a small personal amount of weed with several other charges they were able to tack on because of the presence of the weed, that happened several years ago and the whole ordeal took a couple years to even finish because they tried to nail me to the wall because I wouldn't snitch. Point is if I get to a point I really really need it again before it becomes legal then I'll get it but if somehow I got arrested in the process of getting it to help me get over all that bullshit and all the negative effects that arrest had on my life then my life would be completely done for because I'm not going through that hell reading flat out false police statements and being threatened by prosecutors again, and for those with zero related experience very few will probably even seek it out let alone be able to obtain it so it would be nice if legalization and education of it and other relatively safe drugs would happen already.
Great stuff as usual, and God bless Cody. Some of this conversation directed me to a famous quote that rings true in cycles. Where are we now in the U.S.? Weak men create tough times.

27:30 man that hit me hard. I always say my dad isn’t a bad dad just not like what people grow up with. We’ve always been distant and conversations are always quick like you’re talking to a stranger in a waiting room. When Cody said “that dude lived me the best way he knew how” i was like damn that’s what it is.

Much better interview Cody, I don’t know why Shawn’s interview was so hard for me to sit through…. I’m proud of you man, thank you for doing what you do! Cheers!
Thanks again for another awesome show Mike!! Cody has some great stories. I really don't know much about MARSOC. The few things I've heard or read about the Raiders is super motivating and makes me proud of wearing the EGA!! One thing I would like to know which no one has ever addressed is if MARSOC has some sort of Detachment that is dedicated to Direct Action? Something like the Green Berets CIF companies? God bless both of you and let's continue this fight!!

Watched Cody's 6 hour long podcast w/ Shawn & didn't think it was long enough. I'll gladly listen to another 4.
His episode on Shawn's show was awesome!
An anti-war marine is an oxymoron
that was epic
Pretty sure he has a channel… or had one. And he’s been on Nick Koumalotous channel a lot.
Same here ! This man’s experience and knowledge I hope to strive to master like him one day !
