Simcity 2000 (GBA 2003)

The Simcity 2000 is a Game Boy Advance Simcity game.
Owing to a handheld game, in comparison with previous versions, many things are omitted.
For example, water system is also omitted in this version !!
(Luckily, there exists electric system in this version)
Moreover, making a road function doesn't run well.
Therefore, I don't recommend this game to you !!! :(

I don't know what they were thinking with this and the SNES port, or any console port really. The original game only worked on the SNES because it was simple and didn't really require fine mouse control.

Loved being able to play in my hand, but still think they could have done more with it considering some of the amazing ports that came out on GBA like Alpha 3 and Doom

Criticize the port, not the game. The original Sim City 2000 is the quintessential game in the series and it received pretty mediocre ports across consoles because really any console isn’t designed with these optimization features and etc. in mind.

This is the worst Simcity of all. I was playing and I had my city armed when an alien ship suddenly appeared and burned the fire station and there was a fire in the city and I could no longer extinguish it because just what they burned was the fire station. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Sorry for my bad english, is not my native language.

I used to laugh so hard at my siblings because their cities would just get demolished in an instant. The camera and interface is just abysmal so they couldn't keep up with the flames.

I think ur doing it wrong. Dont single place the zone and roads but, but hold the a button then move it with the dpad. Other than that its really fun, but this is prolly the worst port of sc2000.

You're supposed to hold down A and drag the roads to make them continuous. Now I feel like a genius for figuring that out when I was 8...

This is the worst port ever for Simcity 2000, ironically this was the only version of Simcity 2000 that I does play(besides it's demo PC version) not to mention this port was made after Maxis owned by EA(other Simcity 2000 ports are made before Maxis bought by EA)
