On a TIFF or JPEG file, does it make any difference (technically) if I use slider or layer based editing? I do not really understand why I would want to use the develop persona for editing a TIFF or JPEG file...
Hi, at the start of the video I've mentioned that it's for users who don't want to use layer-based editing. There are lots of workflows that don't involve RAW development or more complex layer-based workflows: architecture, for example, and 3D render workflows where the user just wants to make a few adjustments...
@@JamesRitson Thank you James! I understand then that in case of TIFF or JPEG files it's just a question of preference.
Nice finesses. About a million years ago I suggested two improvements - the first is the most important: Make it possible to paint straight lines with the mask brush in the same way we can do it in the Photo persona using the widely known sequence - point; press shift; move to new point. Secondly I suggested an opportunity to add an informative name to the overlays.
Will this user ever be heard? Otherwise I'll reserve an eye catching space on my tombstone for the text: "Serif Ltd. and Ritson did this!"
