5’7 and I got fed up of being normal. After some training I’ve already got a 35 inch running vert. Looking forward to dunking soon.

Im 6'2 and i kept getting clowned because i was such a waste of height (i could barely hang on rim) so i decided to get to it and i was able to dunk 3 months later. Im able to dunk off one foot and off two with either hand. 5'7 isnt small, it just takes a lot of hard work to acheive a dunk. I wish you the best man

Very cool side tangent on the indoor vs. outdoor outsole - to be honest if you are strictly an outdoor hooper I would take a hard court tenis shoe over a "basketball" shoe as the durability on that outsole will typically hold up much better.
Hard as a brick for the 1st 30min. Once broken in, the cushion is good
I like how you still incorporated Chris’ intial impression video. It gives the audience a baseline for the actual performanc video. The indoor vs outdoor discussion was also nice! I’m looking forward to more of your reviews man!!

Nice review. The AJ 34's traction holds up really well indoors & outdoors. In contrast, the PG5s are definitely not meant for outdoors use. If you're looking for outdoor shoes though, it's not a bad idea to explore tennis shoes, as someone else mentioned below. Tennis shoes are great on different types of surfaces, have great traction, & work well for lateral movements & sharp cuts. The sacrifice is on the level of impact support as tennis doesn't involve as much jumping.
Great review Jackson! I picked up a pair of these a couple of weeks ago. I've played in them 4 times so far, and I have no complaints. The materials aren't the best, but they get the job done!

I love the Zion 2. I am a bigger Guy around 250 I feel that pad in the front of my shoes is on point I feel it on every step. I do have the Voodoos so my shoes keep their shape.
I have only played indoor and love the traction of the Zions Quick up, and when dunking great landing too. I have the Zion 1 also I would have loved the full-length Air Strobel, but's not a game breaker.
I learned the hard court tennis shoes trick for outdoors a while ago and am very happy with my Nike GP Turbos - would recommend to anyone who plays a lot outdoors
I think this speaks to the OG Nightwing subscribers, but these reviews give me the old sneaker room vibes. Appreciate Jackson’s insight and it’s great seeing different voices on the channel.

The inside padding that sticks out on your ankle hurts even though it’s for support if you hoop heavily it will tear up your ankles

Great job on this one. I'll be trying to insta-cop the Raptors colorway whenever it does finally drop. looks like the materials are way better on some other colorways. Almost never pay retail for hoop shoes but I've been really wanting this one!

How about size adjustment if you have a wide foot? True size or 0.5 inch bigger?

Do they squeak when walking?
As a wide foot dude, it's hard finding shoes that feel good out the box. The grip is amazing. Def gonna be my go to bball shoes of 2022.
And I get tons of compliments on the retro look

I actually felt the Zion 1 was way better than the Zion 2. It was much more comfortable and allowed me to make cuts to the basket a lot better. The Zion 2 has a better lockdown but its more flat on the ground similar to the Air Force One basketball shoes.

Good feeling shoe 2E Wide foot I went up .5 in size 10.5 to 11. Probably could have went true to size but 11 feels good. Actual foot lenght 10 7/8 on ruler.. heel to toe... almost at 11 inches, but 10.5 could have worked. Comfortable shoe... balanced flat on floor can feel the forefoot cushioning. Good for outdoor also.

I'm loving the shoes, 5'10 155 speed is my thing so the grip actually surprised me. Flashbacks to Zion busting out of his shoe lol. Just a bit heavy on me compared to the Newbalance I usually wear. The shoes get noticed outside flashy fast and fun, 5 ✨

Do the heel / Achilles pads calm down a lot because I tried them on and the hurt straight away unlike the Lebron 19 lows really comfy

These are growing on me honestly; we'll see if a colorway comes out that I'll cop.
I really like the look, shape and design of shoes and i like that vibe of 90's but they seems to me a bit stiff and heavy , they do not look too soft and comfortable.
What do you think of the cushion of the zion 2’s compared to the zion 1’s?
I got these in black. Havent played in them yet, but being a 13us wide foot solid guy, finding new tech shoes has been hard. 36s were too tight, 37s too flimsy and while i havent tried Luka 1s, not a fan of the running shoe look or lack of support. these were surprisingly comfy. Though may take getting used to the prominant forefoot zoom bubble in the middle, feel like it should be soread better perhaps. Defs not as comfy as a 13, but these are $100 cheaper and always available, so good option for us bigger guys.

I tried on a adidas basketball shoe and it was a 10.5 and it felt like I just a little bit of room left so with this shoe as a 10.5 would it be different in size. Or should I just go for a 11.
Nike budget models have durable rubber for outdoors, maybe they figure whoever is buying cheaper shoes doesn’t have $
for indoor gym use? Seems those are only domestic ones they release that will hold up outside

The high cut reminds me of old adidas (crazy quick, drose 1 2)
Both my boys had to get this (black team version) for their high school team, and absolutely hate them. None of the players like them either...maybe because they had no choice.. They complain that the traction is crap, feel clunky and they hate the look. Both my boys prefer what they were already wearing, and this shoe is a step down (Jordan 37 and Puma Clyde All-Pro).
How’s the fir with ankle braces? Should i go half size up with them?

Hey would the Zion 2’s be good on a felt floor? My school has a court but it has felt-like flooring and I don’t know what the material is actually called. I just don’t know if the traction would be any good
I really had high hopes for the material when i first saw it...
Wasn't really wowed by the 1 and I really like cushion up front so these will be a pass but this was a great review
