Personally, for a performance shoe like this, the functionality of the shoe matters so much more than the looks. I personally hate the way it feels to wear a nice basketball shoe casually, it just makes me cringe knowing i'm messing up the traction just walking around outside personally. I buy basketball shoes to play in, if they give me the support and comfort I need they're perfectly made.

How different would you say they are? Are the Zions much clunkier? Appreciate the time
🙏🙏 They’re quite different, and yes the Zion’s are a lot chunkier. TWO WXY V3 is the better shoe here and also just more comfortable on feet in general.
Did you get the same size as the zoom separate, which were wide and fit me perfect. I normally had to wear 9 in nike, but I was surprised I was able to go down half size.
They do pick up quite some dust, but performance wise this pair still worked really well for me. I think it’s okay if you like everything else about this shoe.
My twin sons' high school basketball program mandates a team shoe. The black Zion 2 TB/team (black/gray) shoe was the one selected by the program, and my boys hate them. The rest of the team, without exception, dislikes them. Now, it may be because the kids don't like to be told what to wear, maybe because they think the colorway looks like crap (which it does), maybe because none of them like the achilles padding, but mostly because the kids say the shoes feel clunky and the grip is trash. Unfortunately, this is not an option for my boys, and the Zion 2 is a major step down than what they already wear (Jordan 37 and Puma Clyde All-Pro). I've told them about the need to break them in, so I'm hoping they will grow to like them. I've also scrubbed the soles in hopes any release agent or other residue is gone so the grip will improve.
Its a shoe really designed for a bigger bloke like Zion, heavier/stocky players. I use them and love them as a wide footer. Most complaints ive seen come for small guys who want speed over stability.
@@Chavanun555 I personally love the Kobe 4 it’s one of my favorite hoop shoes of all time. Performance wise prob both top 5-10 worthy compared to the newest releases.
@@Chavanun555 Right, I mean 4 and 6 are my top two Kobe’s actually, but between those if I still have to pick I personally love the 4s more, just me tho. The 4s are also a better fit for me.
@@TommyLiu4 The toe box is roomy due to the mesh upper, but the width is an issue due to the area where the strap connects. The achilles pads definitely need some breaking in though, they are quite hard.
@@TommyLiu4 This is important. The Luka 1 suffers with a wider toe box and the toes have movement around in the forefoot and side to side friction...unless you are a wide footer.

These, Harden Vol. 6, Puma MB.01, I know a lot of people like the GT Jump too.
The outsole is semi transluscent. Is it better than solid rubber or transluscent?
Performance of different rubber compounds differ by each shoe, I don’t have a first-hand experience playing in other colorways with this shoe sorry.

Garbage quality from Jordan. Wore them one game, and came out with 3 blisters. Returned them the next day.
