Despite the weak flush pressure (as it is supposed to be on a flushometer) this 1969 Madera performed amazingly! Nearly all tests passed with the high tank set up - a suitable alternative if no flushometer set up available. The only negative was the dirt bowl clearance test but again it is supposed to be on a flushometer so cannot really fault the toilet for that. Overall a 9/10 on the high tank set up (a perfect 10/10 potentially for a flushometer) ⭐
Straight flushing toilets to very well with dirt, a lot of times they do better than swirly toilets. The issue with this one was it did not have enough water pressure to fully evacuate all of the contents of the bowl.
A glazed trapway definitely improves the performance. Think about walking on wet concrete versus walking on wet tile. The glaze really does make a difference.
Honestly that did way better than I expected given the circumstances!
Same here.
Epic did great I have always wanted to see tests on a 70s Madera
Yeah! CGL Plumbing is probably going to post some of his own too.
AFT Plumbing found a afton in a abandoned place and it somehow flushes
That's awesome! I guess they forgot to turn off the water.
Epic tests on this Madera my friend job well done
Thanks!
Did well for the most of it.
Yeah, for bulk performance at least.

I bet this would easily score a 10 out of 10 on flushometer.
Flush: Pretty neat 😎
Washcloth: Pass 😀
Grocery bag: pass 😀
Washcloth and grocery bag: pass 😀
Dish towel: fail 😞

Don’t blame this toilet performing differently on high tank
are you happy
Yes I’m very happy with the results
That dirt test went horribly but it would be flawless on flushometer.
This high tank is comfortable for vintage commercial toilets
Only older ones though. I tried flushing a pressure assist toilet with this tank and it did basically nothing.
that did amazingly!! especially considering its not on a flushometer!
I know right! Even though it didn't do so great on the dirt test, it was powerful enough to do well on some of the other ones.
Overall it did surprisingly well. I'm not surprised it did poorly with the dirt test knowing these flush straight down.

This will be mine in about a week!
Awesome. How are you liking it?
@@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorations it's cool!
Cool!
It would be cool to see tests done on your setup too.
@@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorations sure! I'll do that as soon as I get my setup fixed
This toilet is about my mom’s age.
Cool.
Good flush
i agree
I love it.
Excellent performance, but boring flush. Wish you could test the swirly model of this bowl on your high tank.
I prefer the straight flushers but I respect your opinion.
Does glazed trapway make it preform better or vise versa?
Better
A glazed trapway definitely improves the performance. Think about walking on wet concrete versus walking on wet tile. The glaze really does make a difference.
