I remember i discovered this song when it was on the radio, which i dont really listen to five years back. My father had just died struggling with cancer, my girlfriend and I had just broken up, and I was trying my best to graduate my last year of college, but i was struggling for sure. I'll never forget it. I was driving through the center of town on a cold day when this came on. One of the most beautiful songs and a song at that point i needed to hear to help me gain perspective as dramatic as that might sound. I still throw it on now and again, truly beautiful.
Literally the "Let me Fly" entire album, is just perfection imo, This new lineup, despite not being the original, truly made an unforgettable album. Phenomenal track.

A timelessly wonderful band with every song with so much meaning. How lovely to hear something truly beautiful again from them in this era of pretty much "empty" stuff; there are a very few "greats" that are likely to be around in a few years time let alone decades. This is so lovely but then,there is not one single song ever created from this band that is not worth listening to or that will fail to touch hearts and emotions.
The words are SO VERY relevant in today's society - The first few lines absolutely resonate with me and I'm sure most of the population can comprehend "living without really living" in this crazy world.....
This song inspired me as I crossed the finish line for my Master's degree....when I was so burned out I just listened to this amazing song and it helped get me through!!

I was driving my wifes car and her radio was on a XM station called the Blend. I immediately went home, found it on TH-cam and played it and dedicated it to my 19 yo son with ADHD. He had just graduated high school and was presented with a nice gift of a car for his accomplishments. His love of music caused me to share my musical collection with him, which included Mike and the Mechanics told him how my wife danced with my now deceased father in law at our wedding to the song "In the living years". Now they made another wonderful song.Thank you!

I had never lived on my own without any one so the first 2 yrs were exceptionally hard. Then one of my twins from the 2nd set flew back home with her 2 littles and it's been a blessing. I wish you and your family the best as they embark on the next journey of their life. 🌈
