Check us out on Instagram if you want to see real-time updates in Baja! It's pretty amazing down here! instagram.com/mathersonthemap Thanks for watching!
You prolly dont give a damn but does anyone know of a way to log back into an instagram account..? I was dumb lost the password. I would love any tricks you can offer me
@Kaden Marco I really appreciate your reply. I found the site on google and im in the hacking process atm. Seems to take quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Hey there guys again! About ''what sucks behind the scenes'' - i don't think filling up the water or doing groceries suck, it is part of vanlife and also searching for campsites...it's all part of it...kinda the beauty of it that u can find new interesting places and discover new spots and meet new people :) and you have to make longer videos :P can't get enough ! Good Luck!:)
Thank you for ALL the very useful information. When we first starting chatted about visiting Baja one day, I was against the idea. But after watching you guys and a few others, it's starting to look quite appealing! Great video guys, enjoy the sunshine and the beaches!
i have followed multiple van lifer's that have toured mexico and the whole country looks amazing! i hope you guys have fun, i look forward to following you on your exploits, keep up the great work, the vlog seems to get better with every episode. btw you could practically see taylor's whole being shine as she left the cold mountains to the sun drenched beaches, definitely a warm weather gal.
Great video! If your are travelling through mexico and staying in multiple places what do you put down for location you are staying and region on the FMM application?
Thanks for all the info and tips! I'm actively planning my escape from here -- might be a permanent escape for all I know, although too early to say. I just know there's many beautiful places I want to see, where also, I can live like a King on my modest portfolio income. Look forward to hearing about cost of things that, as a tourist, one would want or need -- and of course the sights, the VIEWS and all the ruins and architecture. Oh and any laws that might come as a surprise to those of us from North America -- gun laws for example, not that I personally need or want to carry, just as an example (I know, weird for a Canadian to ask about, lol). I've heard that it feels very safe and it's just the stories that you hear that make people nervous. Enjoy your travels and know that I'm grateful to be learning from your experiences! Many Thanks!!
New to channel. Great info! Especially enjoy seeing travel days, roads (narrowness) scenic terrain, water & fuel (costs!) supply. Planning our journey this winter. Suggest you may want a 12v pump (Tractor supply) and fittings to transfer water from jugs. Draw water from Jerry can & pump (pressurized) into van tank.
That's what we use - great for offgrid vanlife, backpacking and backcountry skiing - you can text with it or via being paired with your phone. We use it all the time and it has the SOS button if you are in real trouble
Lewis and Lewis for the win! Remember that time that we both almost got to try out our insurance? Hopefully we don't have to. Hopefully we'll see you soon and thanks for the shoutout!
Great video guys, very informative and glad to see you haven’t run into any trouble so far. Hope you and Taylor are well, having some great adventures which you’ll never forget. Don’t worry Kevin, you’re not missing anything at JNJ. Ha!!!
Hello, I am sorry to bother you .... I want to tell you to be very careful in Mexicali Baja California, there are many drug traffickers and do not confess with anyone with the municipal and state police, because they are corrupt ... I advise you to approach with ña guard National that are military and the navy ... because there is a lot of organized crime ... be very careful, God bless and enjoy it the beauty in Baja California Sur, La Paz, it is the most beautiful place and the sea is wonderful and humpback whales beautiful, even dolphins .... greetings.
If you guys had a sedan type car its even easier. The reason why they had to check your car its because it was a van/RV. When you cross using a regular sedan type car you can literally just drive non stop into Mexico.
OH JESUS.........YOU SAY YOU'RE NOT WORRIED, NOTHING HAS HAPPENED AND THEN THE CAMERA GOES OVER TO KEVIN, WHO SAYS DON'T TRAVEL AT NIGHT, DRUNK DRIVERS, CATTLE AT NIGHT ON THE ROAD AND ON AND ON.............JESUS........ YOU'RE BOTH SUCH SUPER NICE PEOPLE, I HOPE YOU'RE OK, IT'S SUCH A SHAME THE MESS MEXICO IS IN, I'M ALL FOR MEXICO DOING WELL, A LOT OF NICE GEOGRAPHY AND SO ON DOWN THERE, BUT GET REAL, OUR BORDER HAS BEEN CRASHED BY MILLIONS OF PEOPLE FLEAING MEXICO DECADE AFTER DECADE, TRUMP WAS WORKING HARD TO REMEDY THE SITUATION, AND NOW WE'RE IN THE SAME GOD DAMN MESS WE WERE IN WITH OBAMA......... ANY GOOD LUCK, YOU'RE BOTH SO NICE AND YOUR VAN IS GREAT AND YOUR VIDEOS ARE VERY INFORMATIVE AND ENTERTAINING.........

Thank you Tom! A ton of folks recommended a drill pump too, but I didn't mind the mini workout lifting those jugs up in the air! haha
Did you get the Garmin inReach Mini GPS Satellite Communicator? I'd love to know the model. That'sa good investment.... Great video!

Pemedex diesel the same as diesel #2 from the states? Do you guys use any diesel additives? Thank for the videos!
i believe so??? and no we didn't use any additives, van ran fine!
So you can still get into mexico, even with the "restrictions"? Planning on going there in 2 weeks
yesss! no restrictions!
What was the app for help finding a campsite? Thanks
IOverlander 👌🏻
Awesomeness 🏖
Make sure you get to a car wash when you leave the beach, the salt can be rough on your van. 🧂💦 🚘 = rust
Amen to that we have the van sprayed with undercoating to help as well but we will!
sweet sweet/like like yaw videos/yea uh hue/enjoy life an sweet travels/how much mpg does yaw sprinter get /well thank much
With our new tires about 15-18!
This is the easy part. The hard part is coming back. Was I right?
Actually we luckily didn’t have any issues either way thank goodness!!
Is this recent? I thought land crossings were still closed?
Yes Mid March, we thought the same thing until we did it, not sure why online resources don’t correct it
@@MathersOnTheMap Ok, thanks for letting me know, this is awesome.
Isn't travel to Mexico still restricted to "essential work" not tourism?
I don’t think so, Mexico doesn’t have any covid travel entry requirements either
I COULD NOT PAY ATTENTION AT A WORD YOU WERE SAYING SINCE THE WAVES CRASHING NEXT TO YOUR VAN WAS SO DISTRACTING. I’M SO JEALOUS. 😂
Hahaha touché!
Don’t forget to buy Mexico insurance for you vehicle
hello~^^
