This is my favorite guest episode so far and I’m almost exactly half way through. Lots of stuff I needed to hear as a marketing/design team director especially around the relationship between high standards and coaching. Thank you!
This may be my favorite episode to date! Wes' description of how senior Big-S strategy leaders who fail to be practitioners are doomed to fail is priceless. It is for that same reason why some professions, such as differentiate between practicing leaders, aka a Chief of Surgery and an administrative leader, aka CEO of a hospital system. Far too often in business, especially for Entrepreneurs, the goal is growth without focus, which can lead to relying too heavily on "Strategy" without the appreciation for the tactical requirements for its execution...aka something sounds great...but has minimal ROI based on the requirements to achieve it.
