Rarely have I heard someone do so well on a cover. You did not only Dolores O'Riordan proud, you did all of us who were major fans of her and the Cranberries proud.
I gotta say, I've heard a lot of covers of this song and damn if this isnt my absolute favorite version. The passion and emotion Peyton brought to this song gave me chills the first time I heard it, which was just a couple days ago....I cant stop listening, all day every day. Peyton's voice is perfect and the band adding their own emotions to the song was epic. Delores would have been proud!

Smedley Butlers book about ww1 titled "war is a racket" is amazing and just as relevant today), surrounds ALL presidents, has the largest lobbies, runs the NGO's flooding our countries, owns the pharmaceutical companies, owns almost all fortune 100/500 companies, and who is controlling the war in Ukraine on both sides for profit (research Chabad/Putin relationship (Adam Green KMN had some great research on this)... when you realize that, maybe you'll have empathy for all the lives lost in THEIR wars.

I am from Ireland, and this has to be the best I’ve heard to the original, she had an amazing haunting voice, no one who covered the song before could even reach her level in range. A wonderful 100% thumbs up on your take. She is a talented that is sadly missed. But her songs will go on a life time x RIP
I reckon bad wolf done it better and that's who's version this is, because in the original by the Cranberries they don't say anything about drones because they didn't have them back when the Cranberries recorded the song.

I think the mistake that most artists make when covering this song is going way too heavy. This was a great cover. Really kept the spirit of the song while giving it your own twist. Well done.

I like the Bad Wolves version. It is good. But being honest I think the changes they made also kind of date the song. When the original could be interpreted as universal for any time.

I know this song was originally written about the massive attacks and death during 3 decades of The Troubles in Ireland, but almost every lyric strikes a chord with veterans with PTSD as well. So much of it rings true to those of us who have seen and had to do horrible things and now have to live with it, and not all can. Your voice in this rendition truly brings out the struggles of having to deal with those things. It reminds us that we're never immune from the horrors of war no matter the country in which they happen. I want to thank you for doing this Payton. I'd also like to urge anyone struggling with PTSD, combat-related or otherwise, to please seek help, even if it's just a friend to listen. We've lost too many good people to the demons of their pasts.

Thank Peyton and Johnathan. This song was written because of the violent deaths by the Provisional IRA when they bombed the town I live in Warrington. I am Irish but I live in Warrington. These children died , but not in my name . Rest in peace Tim Parry and Johnathan Ball.

I first heard Zombie back in 1994. It gave me chills then. Heard Bad Wolves reimagined Zombie,(words in the lyrics slightly changed to reflect today's time), and Dolores was supposed to be featured, however unfortunately passed before she was join. But Payton's cover gives me the same goosebumps that The Cranberries did back in 1994. This song is absolutely beautiful, and heartbreaking all in one.
The previous singer may have rest in piece, but Payton you gave her the greatest gratitude by making her song in your vertion, it show how much impact the Cranberries have to you,i can see you do not just know the lyric,but you put your soul in this song,i can feel the pain from the lyrics vividly from your voice

Thank you for this...28 years ago, I first heard this song playing in a record store, and Dolores O'Riordan's voice spoke to my teenage soul in ways I had never thought possible. I cried for the beautiful power of her voice, and her words brought me to such powerful emotions. Since her passing I had wondered if anyone could truly do her memory and her talent justice singing her incredible songs (car ads and random people have tried) but no one truly created a tribute to Dolores and her legacy. Today, I heard this, and I cried as if I had heard her words for the first time in 28 years. Thank you. You have created a truly perfect tribute to the words and emotions felt by so many in 1994. Dolores would be wonderfully proud of this version of Zombie, your emotion and passion rival hers, while there is a haunting aspect of reverence in the slower tempo. Well done! Thank you!

As you started the first words of the lyrics tears ran down my face like a little river…it was so touching and so emotional to listen to your voice and remember the meaning behind the song…deep connected with my heart…
As Dolores sung this song for the first time in 1994…I met my girl at a party and we had our first kiss during this song…it was love, love at first sight and we had such a perfect time together…and it was our song…
After 10 months, beautiful months, full of love and happiness we got a terrible diagnosis from her doc….a tumor in her brain…no possibility of a surgery….fast growing cancer…and the doc said he can do nothing for her….long speech short sense…I lost her three months later and it was horrible…
The song „Zombie“ accompanied us during this time and we used the lyrics to describe what the „Zombie“ definitely is and what is he doing in her brain….the tanks, the bombs, the guns in her brain was the real zombie…
She was only 24 years young and a very beautiful girl with a wonderful smile and always in a positive mood…

This is the first time I've fully heard and understood the lyrics and message of this song. I grew up hearing it on the radio when I was very young and could probably hum along to the tune, but I never entirely paid attention to it and forgot the song existed as I got older. I think the Cranberries would be very pleased that this cover delivered what they actually wanted to say. Beautifully done.

I don't usually go for heavy rock music, but I make an exception when the singer has a voice like this. I love how the audio has so much reverb on it. It sounds distant, very much in line with the subject matter of the song.

Somebody please get this amazing artist a record deal! Chills! The talent is beyond amazing and hauntingly beautiful. Very few artists interest me or inspire me the way this one does. Sometimes their voice just annoys me when singing certain notes because I am very sensitive to noise. Peyton just relaxes my senses and makes the world a better place. This talents sends you to a mystical place. Just wow! Thank you!

Just heard this today for the first time. It made me go listen to the cranberries original, j haven't heard it in years. (Honestly I never knew it was called zombie till today) Well that was enough, I bought both versions and have been listening to them both over and over. Technically, this is a cover of the version done in 2018 by Bad Wolves. They were supposed to perform the song with Dolores, but then she passed and they did the song as a tribute (I believe.) Though that isn't to take away from this version, as it's an amazing rendition, and Parrish's voice always sends chills through me in the best of ways.

As someone who has proudly lived in Ireland all his life, and has family who have first hand witnessed the Troubles up the north, i'm always ecstatic to see this song being covered. Even with my basis love for any version of this song, Peyton still delivered a bang on cover.

omg, ok, i know he covered the Bad Wolves version of this, but omg he actually captured the original feel pretty well. the forced calm in the lulls quickly deteriorating as we get closer and closer to the chorus, then the just unrestrained anger of the chorus. and remember, the original song was meant to decry the entire thing the IRA was doing, hence "it's not me, it's not my family" and the original artist meant it to be scathing, anger-filled, meant to reach deep into you and draw out anger towards the injustices of the world.
