  • This ring is my Cartier love band wedding ring, I wear it 24/7 and that way it gets damaged by various tools and just life. However the scratches can be very easily removed. All you need is cape code polishing clothes and the scratches are removed without damaging the ring.

    How long have you had the ring for? I’m curious about the wear and tear

      If you polish you will always remove material, its basically sanding with a very very fine grain. But this is minimal with CapeCod as you are not applying a lot of pressure and you start with a very fine grain compared to first sanding / buffing.
      If you ask Cartier to polish it it will have way more effect, you will loose the sharp edges. Using CapeCod it is very minimal.

    How often would you recommend polishing the ring without damaging it? I find Cartier jewellery scratches very easily.

    • @F4stFr3ddy
      @F4stFr3ddy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cape cod removes only a tiny tiny amount, I think you would need to polish a lot and long. Personally I polish 1-3 times a year depending on scratches and mood.

      There is a video on TH-cam of an entire a Rolex watch being polished on a machine to remove scratches from the whole watch, bracelet and everything and the result showed that barely any gold was lost while removing the scratches

    So im not an expert at all but i researched cape cod a while ago and the instruction online was not to spend too much time on the pink cloth but rather spend more time buffing (after using the pink cloth). I could be totally wrong of course.

    • @F4stFr3ddy
      @F4stFr3ddy  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That’s wrong, you need the cloth in order to polish / buff it. Afterwards with a normal cloth is not necessary

    • @loodeytunes
      @loodeytunes 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@F4stFr3ddy i mean im not an expert, that was the official instruction from cape cod. That's why they give you the white microfiber cloth if you buy the tin set.

    • @loodeytunes
      @loodeytunes 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@F4stFr3ddy after you polish, you need to "BUFF" it. If anything buffing is more important. There is a reason why they call the microfiber cloth (included if you bought the set) the "buffing" cloth.
