@@FeedRevorose jumped a bit higher and was a bit faster end to end. Plus his balance was phenomenal. But Westbrook is stronger in terms of raw strength and core, he’s much quicker laterally, his take off speed is a bit quicker while rose was more of a galloper and like to burst into his runs,m. I generally see them as near equal but russ was a bit more explosive and refined athleticism. U can tell he had to work to get that along with the genetics where as rose was pure raw athleticism.

Extra context for that #1 play

I live in OKC and watching highlights of Westbrook, Durant, and Ibaka all on the floor at the same time gives me warm fuzzy nostalgia. Fact about the number 1 clip is that during that game he breaks the record for most triple doubles in a season and then ends the game with that buzzer beater. I've never dunked on someone on a 10 foot hoop, but have dunked on hundreds of people on an 8 foot hoop with 2 other people watching and it's one of the greatest feelings in the world. He flexes and screams after his dunks because the adrenaline after dunking over a 7 foot center, with tens of thousands of people screaming, is too hard to contain.

Russel Westbrook won a mvp title with the thunder but that team is known as one of the biggest big three bust of all time since they never made it far in the postseason with Russ kd, James harden, and don’t quote me but I think they had Chris Paul too. He went to the rockets in I think was 2017 with James harden and cp3 and made a conference title series and got bounced. In 2020 or 2021 he left to the lakers with lebron and they got bounced by the nuggets last year in the conference championship game. He’s now on the clippers and is coming off bench and in prime position to win sixth man of the year as he’s getting better every year. That team is scorching hot with him, James harden, kawai, and Paul George who I forgot at some point was also on that thunder team. They are expected to make a deep postseason push. He would be regarded as the 1st or second best point guard ever but lack of championships and even conference championships are holding him back from being one of the best ever.

Westbrook has yet to win a championship (the Thunder of those years is one of the big recent disappointment). He played for five teams but there's a reason why the video only showed clips from when he was with the Thunder: he was a very athletic player, and when his physical abilities started to slip, he really had a lot of trouble adjusting, which is why the second half of his career has been unremarkable.

All the highlights of Westbrook would be so good because of how athletic and how fast he is. But then it’s highlights. The problem is, he is so fast that oftentimes he loses control of the ball or his body. On top of the fact that his shot selection, coupled with his below average jump shot, is not always optimal.
I mean, you don’t have to be a basketball fan to decipher that he is not as skilled as some other prominent point guards such as Kyrie Irving, Damian Lillard, Ja Morant, etc. What he has is supreme athleticism that he can out jump or out run other players.

Okc once had harden coming off the bench Russ & Kd. 3 Soon to be MVPs and went to finals to lost to Lebron and Dwade Heat. The last time Russ and KD played they were up 3-1 against the (73-9) warriors in the WCF and gave it up and lost. But ironically the warriors ended up blowing 3-1 against the cavs in the finals 😂
Then Kd leaves Russ to go to the warriors and Russ would average a triple double for I think 3 season before he was traded to multiple teams. You gotta respect Russ though, he plays at 110% effort every second he’s on that floor
