Damian Lillard is like in like the 10-15 range of top nba players right now. He’s mainly known for his ability to come up clutch in close games, and his Dame Time celebration.
Idk if there’s 11-15 players better than him. Look at how the blazers have been playing without him and look at his consistent playoff berths with few quality teammates.
Dame currently is widely considered to a either top 15 or top 10 in the league. I would say definitely top 10, but due to the trailblazers being bad last season and him missing much of the 21-22 season he is underrated. He has spent his whole career with the Portland Trailblazers until now. He was admired for his loyalty to Portland, even though they didn't have much playoff success due to being in a stacked western conference. As a player he one of the best guards in the league, being one of the best pick and roll players, an insane shot creator and clutch shot maker, and being the second best shooter in the league. He always been considered second fiddle to Stephen Curry even though I would say he was just as good some years(not as a shooter) as Curry, but never being on a good enough team to get that recognition.
His nickname is "Logo Lillard" or "Dame Time". He is a top 75 player all time and currently a top 10. If not for Curry, he is arguably the greatest shooter and also has the purest form
@@scottm.6700 first of that’s subjective and second off, being better means nothing. Talent only gets u so far in a sport based on who wins and who doesn’t. Tmac is also better than a lot of guys. There’s absolutely no reason,m for dame to be there but artis Gilmore, Ben Wallace, Dwight Howard, Sidney moncrief, and serval other hof players who simply accomplished more as a player aren’t.
The most well-known aspect of Lillard’s game is his clutchness, which is where the phrase “Dame Time” comes from. In the last few minutes of close games, he is known to absolutely take over and score the last 10-15 points for his team. He has so many crazy clutch shots and game winners.
Lillard is the best volume scorer in the NBA. When he catches fire, nobody is on that level. People still don’t quite get how good Dame is offensively.

He's been a top 3 point guard in the league for a while now along with Curry and Westbrook (who's now not in his prime anymore). Unfortunately, Portland was never good at building around him, so he hasn't had much playoff success, and a lot of people say he's in Curry's shadow, as they both are the two best shooters of all time, but Steph has 4 rings with the Warriors. Heading to the Bucks this year makes them a title favorite with Boston and Denver, so he might finally win one alongside Giannis, who wants his 2nd
He has only shot 40% or better from 3 one time in his entire career. Let's cool it with calling him one of the two best shooters of all time. I wouldn't call him close to that. He shoots a lot of them. He is a very good shooter.
@@EurecaNo other shooter but Curry has had to take so many 3’s for their team. Lack of weapons around him in Portland led to heavier defense on him than Reggie or Ray. It’s not crazy to say 2nd best ever
@@Eurecanobody in nba history took or made as many difficult 3 point shots as dame other than curry. The first and second best 3 point shooters of all time are almost certainly steph and dame respectively
Dame is easily one of, if not the best scorer in clutch time for the past 10 years or so. All it takes is 1 shot to go in for him to get in his rhythm, and once he does hes damn near impossible to guard/stop. Currently hes a top 3 pg in the league easily, and without a doubt a top 10 player. Not only is his 3pt shooting and range insane, he always keeps very calm & composed, and a very underrated part of his game is his ability to draw fouls. There arent many people on this earth that can do what he does!
Last season he dropped 71 points in one game against the rockets. i think thats 5th or 6th most all time. Hes gonna be amazing with Giannis this season.
Dame Lillard is my favorite athlete. I’m so glad you guys reacted to him. My favorite memory of Dame is Blazers vs Lakers 2020. It was the Lakers’ first home game after Kobe passed away. Dame played out of his mind that day in true mamba fashion.
The great thing about dame is he was never highly regarded out of high school, so he went to Weber State. He was so good at this smaller program that he worked himself into the draft, then his workouts made him (I think) the #6 pick in the draft. The guy literally built himself into a superstar, because he's not really that big, but he's just an insane competitor. He and Giannis and Milwaukee could be very hard to deal with in the playoffs this year
One of the clutches players ever. "Dame Time" aka when he takes over the 4th quarter. A couple of those buzzer beaters were to win a playoff series (idk if you caught that). Walkoff style. Dude's a beast
Dude led the league in scoring on a shitty team. Scored 71 in a game last year...I think it's comedy to not have a healthy Damien Lillard in your top 10 😂
Top 10 player in the league definitely closer to 10 but there’s been nobody as consistent as Damian Lillard. Providing firepower to teams with few other weapons to assist him. Second best shooter of the last 10 years behind Steph. He’s a top 75 player of all time !!
I live in Portland. Before Dame left, there were a few high schools in the area that he would come out to... he talked to the kids on their level about important things. He really put in the time in the community... fantastic human being.
Currently: Top 3 player in the league at his position Top 10-15 player in the league overall Top 75 player in league history Yes, Damian Lillard is really that good.
Dame Time is a real thing, he is a clutch player who is been super loyal. He refused Portland for so long and wanted to make it work there. I wish they could have gotten him someone around him to make it work. Happy he has a real chance now to win something. In the last bit of the video was his 71 point game, he mentioned after if they had left the defensive plan that the rockets were going with to start the game he could have easily had 100 pts. But they started doubling him at half court the moment he touched it, he wanted to be a good teammate as well.
Lillard is great offensively, average defensively, but isnt gonna make many "greatest" lists quite yet because he was stuck in Portland and they were pretty pathetic his whole career. If he can win a few chips with Giannis in Milwaukee, ranking him will be interesting. He's always been around top 5 for best point guards currently in the league, but he's never been number 1. With Luka and Curry currently playing, idk if he'll ever have a chance to be #1 since he is 33 years old now. But he's also insanely clutch and he points at his wrist to celebrate because the end of the 4th quarter is called "Dame Time".
I'm from Portland. Love him. Dame is a great player and an even better person. Clyde Drexler and Bill Walton are still The Blazers' best players in history.
Damian Lilard is on the Nba's top 75 all time players list and i would say around the 10th best player currently. Hes one of rhe greatest shooters and scorers of all time an all time great
Best analogy I can think of is that Dame is the NBA's James Ward-Prowse - super-loyal guy with a world-class skillet who got the chance to move to a club with a higher ceiling.
To me Dame should clearly be considered the second best three point shooter of all time right behind Curry. He’s the only guy that comes close to what Steph can do in terms of range, off the dribble, etc.
When a shot goes in without hitting the rim (I'll give Damo a minute to stop giggling) it has many different phrases such as "nothing but net" or just the simple sound that it makes "swish"....This is to show just how accurate your shot is because you're placing the ball in such a tight hole (pause) that many "school yard" shooting challenges to prove just how good of a shooter you are will have a requirement that a successful shot is one that only touches the bottom of the net. Since we're here, In many pickup Basketball games, an unspoken rule amongst us Basketball enthusiasts (even as young as 7 year olds) will claim that a Bank-Shot (Non-Layup shots that hit the Backboard before going in) will only count only if you call "Bank" before the ball makes contact with the Backboard....Bank-Shots that were unintentional are looked at as "cheap" and have a certain distain to them....Of course in a "Real" game none of this matters and the "Bank Is Open" 24/7 LUL
Dame is definitely a top 5 guard in the league right now and probably top 10 player overall. On top of his insane scoring ability, Dame also averages nearly 7 assists per game for his career. He's also one of the most clutch players in recent history. Nothing fazes him. Big moment? Check that watch, cause it's Dame Time.
Dame has been one of my favorite players for years. It's gonna be weird rooting against him because he's on a contender in the East now. If my Celtics don't win it this year I'm hoping the Bucks do so Dame finally gets a championship.
1:27 ok, imma just gonna say it since you've now said this so many times- Yes, you've literally have watched this shot on multiple different compilations....you're welcome 🤣
Yep, when Logo Lillard had the ball in his hands in the 4th, it was Dame Time. As a Portlander, I hated the trade. We can see the results as the Trailblazers have gotten trashed their 1st 3 games including tonight's fiasco against the 76ers (lost by 28).
I am not even Portland fan, but I feel bad for them. Not an even trade. For awhile, it seemed every team could boast at least one star player. This may not be the case anymore for Portland.
The pick swaps in 2028 and 2030(i believe is correct) will tell the full value of the trade. Portland has some nice young players to groom. In 5 years they will have many assets to help them...especially if Milwaukee is severely declining. They also did decent trading Jrue to Boston, so i think it's way too early to know if they fleeced themselves or not...one thing is certain- Milwaukee is all in for the next few years
It’s been awhile since you’ve done basketball, 3 pointers are basically always a swish. Just go look up a 3 point compilation and 99 percent are all net
He doesn't get near enough credit for his greatness, because he has played on the West Coast his whole career. Any live games that are shown from there, wouldn't start until 10pm on the East Coast. So, most of the country just sees highlights.
Just wanted you guys to know Lillard is currently in the midst of one of his worst games in quite some time. Seems like it must be Daimo's fault judging by the fate of the Padres this year.
I might get hate for this but in his best years so around 2019 where he was very dominant and the trailblazers were an elite team he was right behind Steph for second best point guard in the league and the gap after them was pretty large
Pretty large bro?? Look at the highlights curry can’t do half of what dame can bro when r yall gonna realize dame is far more offensively skilled then curry ever was
For the last 10 years Steph has clearly been the best point guard in the league. The top 3 is usually filled out with 2 of Dame, Kyrie, or Westbrook. In my opinion Curry and Westbrook have been the two best PGs. Lillard is in the 3rd slot for me…he’s always had the talent, but never the team around him, so he’s been held back a lot of his career.
Please react to Russel Westbrook, he has one of the best highlight reels and has maybe the greatest season by an nba player ever. Keep up the good work tho, love the videos
Maybe the top 10 Players in the NBA today: 1. Nikola Jokic 2. Giannis Antetokounmpo 3. Steph Curry 4. Luka Doncic 5. Jayson Tatum 6. Joel Embiid 7. Kevin Durant 8. Damian Lillard 9. Anthony Davis 10. Devin Booker I threw this together without too much thought so I'm sure somebody's gonna be mad, but this feels right cobbled together in a few minutes. Honorable Mentions: LeBron James, Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, Jimmy Butler, Donovan Mitchell, De'Aaron Fox.
DAME TIME! Played on complete shit teams his whole career. One of the best shooters ever. Straight bucket! Also, has ice in his veins, clutch like a basket of chicken eggs. Stone Cold Killa
Giannias let the Bucks know that if they didn't bring in talent to help him win a title he'd pack his bags and play elsewhere. Shortly thereafter, the Bucks got Lillard.
My current NBA top 10 players (who Id want to have on my team right now): 1. Jokic 2. Giannis 3. Doncic 4. Luka 5. Embiid 6. Lebron 7. Dame 8. Tatum 9. Curry 10. Ant

I might get hate for this but in his best years so around 2019 where he was very dominant and the trailblazers were an elite team he was right behind Steph for second best point guard in the league and the gap after them was pretty large
Pretty large bro?? Look at the highlights curry can’t do half of what dame can bro when r yall gonna realize dame is far more offensively skilled then curry ever was
@@angelclouds3233 I said it was Curry and Dame and then there was a huge gap. Please read and you are completely wrong Steph is clearly better
Top ten current players.
Yet dame destroyed Westbrook and made okc trade him after that series
If it wasn't for Steph Curry, Dame Lillard might just be the best point guard of this generation.
Lets just say, if Curry wasn’t in the league, Dame would be considered the best 3 point shooter in NBA history.
Please react to Russel Westbrook, he has one of the best highlight reels and has maybe the greatest season by an nba player ever. Keep up the good work tho, love the videos
Definitely gotta do some James Harden highlights
Maybe the top 10 Players in the NBA today:
1. Nikola Jokic
2. Giannis Antetokounmpo
3. Steph Curry
4. Luka Doncic
5. Jayson Tatum
6. Joel Embiid
7. Kevin Durant
8. Damian Lillard
9. Anthony Davis
10. Devin Booker
I threw this together without too much thought so I'm sure somebody's gonna be mad, but this feels right cobbled together in a few minutes.
Logo lillard
Well the DN jinx is real, he's playing right now at half time ZERO points.
Only 3 people in NBA history that can hit long range 3's consistently and it's Steph Curry, Vince Carter and Damian Lillard.
Vince Carter ??😂😂😂😂 dame is the king of the long range
@@angelclouds3233 when did I say Vince was king? I said all 3 can hit the half court shot consistently.
