    I am no relationship expert but after two decades of marriage, I can without any hesitation say my wife brings value to our relationship every single day. She makes our lives better and makes me a better person. I don’t know if that is the “one” secret to commitment but it’s certainly an important aspect.

    I 100% agree with the 'pride' angle. I'll expand it to say that pride gets in the way in both directions. Prideful men are their own worst enemies too because their pride can be impediment to growth, improvement, etc. I'm on the fence about women coming into a relationship with the intention of serving a guy to help him fulfill his goals and dreams. As a guy who has a lot going on, is financially healthy, with a lot of goals, I'm attracted to women who have the same thing going on and not someone who's agenda is to come into my life to only "serve" me and focus on my dreams. I want her to have dreams and ambition too.

    Thanks. This also can make a guy reevaluate his current situation. I’m a handsome 53 yr old guy with a 6-figure income and his stuff in order. But I’m also a busy guy. And women want me to bend over backwards to send them good morning text messages, cook them dinner, and do their taxes? And yet, they don’t offer much in return?

    • @kazdnn5949
      @kazdnn5949 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Facts. Women don’t even bother to show up on dates anymore unless you hound them via text up until the date… the date YOU planned. Men are expected to do all the work now, all the pursuing, but then if you do that for too long, they lose respect and attraction for you-but still demand that effort from the man. It’s never enough.

    John,
    Thank you for sharing this perspective and I agree with the video 💯, but as long as divorce law enables a person to leave a marriage, break up a family, and take half of the family’s net worth, this will continue to be an issue. To be honest, many of the functions that a spouse could offer to do for me, I can hire and have them actually get done and probably be done better. The things that really matter, like being a good parent or working on my health and career, are up to me, but my life is simpler without the distractions of a partner that is unsupportive.

    This video is a very accurate description of the woman I've been looking for all my life. After two divorces and several girlfriends, I finally found the woman for me you are describing. I'm 69 years old and on my last Road gig, this perfect lady I know I have in my life offered to help and the helper looked at her and said "are you this year's girlfriend?". She responded with " he introduces me as his last girlfriend". I thought this was perfect! You're right! I'm not girl shopping anymore!

    I love that you, John, are willing to be vulnerable enough to step into a controversial topic such as this. The “useful” aspect hit it on the head for me. I haven’t had issues dating in terms of finding sex with stunning successful women. They’re everywhere in the entertainment industry. Finding a “useful teammate” was the hardest aspect, and why I finally locked it down 💍 with my current lady. So many useful aspects beyond her beauty (she’s hot AF) and great job (doctor) she made it impossible to want to look any further. I’m 53 btw.

  • @mikeazzaro72
    @mikeazzaro72 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I have often felt exactly as you articulated John. Been on an upward trajectory for some time and have A LOT to offer..."Why doesn't anyone want to join me?" was a great perspective.
    I think what gets people upset about this type of message at times is the lack of clarifying points. We're not talking about cook my meals, wash my clothes, do the dishes, clean the house "useful", which I believe is what many will hear when they watch this and take offense. We're talking about bringing quality character, support and doing things with us, and yes sometimes for us, that make progress towards reaching goals together easier. That's what's useful. I think something that also gets left out of these messages is pointing out reciprocation is important. If a woman was to bring this to the table and enhance life and "help", it would be reciprocated 10x's over. If it's not then she's being used and should remove herself from the relationship if she's not being shown appreciation. He never mentions either of these things but I'd like to hope he thinks this is a critical balance. As always, great stuff!

Change comes from within only when you acknowledge your problems. Stop looking outside yourself for solutions. It's your job to fix/change/upgrade you. The buck stops here.

    Have you heard about all of that toxic, misogynistic, Red Pill content that's gotten popular in the last couple years? Well, there it is. Now of course, the mainstream will point to the garbage, click-baity "dating podcasts" and call that Red Pill but if you ignore the grifters looking to make a quick buck until the next popular trend arrives, you'll find channels like Orion Teriban, Rian Stone and a several others that actually go into the details of male/female sexual dynamics.
    There's what society tells you is true and there's what Red Pill men have discovered is true and if you're a guy who wants to have success in dating, long-term relationships and/or marriage, this information is invaluable.

      @@gittin_funky He doesn't brand himself as Red Pill, and that's probably a good move from a marketing perspective, but if you're well versed in Red Pill praxeology, it's really obvious where a lot of his video ideas, lessons and advice come from. Even this video featured here is giving advice to women (not Red Pill) by reversing the advice given to men in order to become "high value" (work to achieve money, muscles and game in order to attract women) by telling women, "if you want guys like this, here's what you logically need to do". I can pretty much guarantee you that Orion didn't learn all of the stuff he talks about in his videos in a college classroom getting his degree. He does do a great job of meshing his psychology education with accurate, real world knowledge of evolutionary biology and sexual dynamics which is probably why his channel blew up so quickly.

    Haven't watched all the way through yet... So far, the "any woman can have access to any high value man" idea I do not agree with. I'm 'high-ish value' I suppose... It's relative, compared to a million dollar sports star, less so but I'm not doing too bad. There are plenty of women out there that are a hard 'no' from me, as far as intimate relations go anyway... Maybe there is a twist coming.

    based on the title, I legit thought you were reacting to a video of a gay dude making a how to video on how to get any guy

    I don't know about all of this, there are many guys who dump the women that help them "get" there and replace her with the trophy wife!

    Its funny, what O'Ryan is saying is basic wisdom that mothers and grandmothers, in one form or other, routinely passed to young women more than 50 years ago ... but now is completely lost... sad. Oh, and no ones talking about it because, feminism.

    I enjoy watching your videos, but this guy lost me at high value. What person doesn't have value? Yes, some of us need a little more direction, perhaps, but that is genderless. 😊

    Don’t like your latest video. I subscribed to get clothing and styling tips. Don’t like the videos you make about psychology or self help videos. Please make more videos about clothing options and styling tips. Thanks 🙏🏽

      Thank you! Style will always be the core of this channel, but with that comes self improvement and other conversations that help us to navigate this period of our lives.

    Hm. I'm a Christian woman. This is all very worldly.
    The way to get what you want is to be obedient to the Lord, follow His ways, make Him 1st, then ask Him for all your needs.
