Dusty Baker finally got his ring! Much deserved for Dusty Baker. He’s a great coach,great dad and great human being. Big Congrats to the Houston Astros and their fans,this one is special. Also it was so fun to watch the Philadelphia Phillies this post season. The run they made at the end of the season and then that post season run was unbelievable! The Phillies have a great team,and they are going to be really good for a long time.
Our Phillies Cinderella season is over, but boy did they make the city proud.. I must say I'm happy for old school, legendary manager and great baseball player Dusty Baker in winning his first world series as a manager !!!!!!!

I loved seeing Mancini so pumped up. Imagine toiling with a losing team your entire career, then getting traded to a team that takes you to a World Series championship. He may not have contributed much with his bat (though that Game 5 play on Schwarber with his glove will stand out for sure) but I’m really happy for him, after all he’s been through, personally and in his playing career.
I respect the Astros as an organization. I don't care what kind of chicanery they first engaged in to become relevant. They've sustained their level of excellence and shown that it was no accident. Oh and by the way, I'm a Yankee fan.
Having watched the Phillies all year, they were very erratic at times, up and down, fired the manager and it was questionable at times if theyd even make the (watered-down) playoffs..but they got hot at the right time. For a brief period it looked like they might do it, but the Astros better talent came to the front of the stage. They're the better club (better pitching depth, among other things) and its well deserved, certainly for Dusty Baker too!
You can love them, you can hate them but you cannot deny the fact that they deserved the title. Congrats to the Astro’s, the fans, and especially the pitchers. Ya’ll definitely deserved this one.
Maldy -- he's the commanding general of the pitching staff. He simplifies the big data and crafts the game plan against opposing hitters. And has the ability to adjust his pitch-calling on the fly. He'll be a great manager someday.
That shot of him and Vasquez hugging is pretty awesome. Two veteran backstops that are overlooked by the league and most baseball fans that are indispensable cogs in this championship team just being relieved
maldy really had the eye of a tiger in the post season, got walked often, stepped up to take that pitch he knew was going to be inside. Had some pretty big base hits too.
@@muddynutz He was loyal through it all as well. Took a paycut to stay in Houston instead of going to NY to be Cole's personal catcher. Maldy has been the team captain for like the last 3 seasons, silently leading the entire pitching staff from behind the plate. I'm really happy he's finally on top.

I’m from LA but I’m the only Dodgers fan in the world whose 2nd favorite baseball team is the Astros because Houston is the Largest City in the State of Texas and the 4th Largest City in the United States. The city has lots of skyscrapers and a metro system, and its primary international airport Bush Intercontinental Airport is a United Airlines hub. In geography I love those.
A great series for the Phillies and Astros nail biting an a lot of anxiety on both parts as an Astros fan I'm glad the team an dusty got a ring (besides the cheating scandal) but the Phillies lineup was great to say the least they never gave up an made the Astros up the ante in order to win even had a 7-0 win against them hats off to both teams I'm quite certain Harper will be leading them back soon great world series in my eyes.
The Phillies worked hard, they gave it their all. But I hope they enjoyed hitting tanks throughout the series. And now, we must wait for the beginning of the next season. Great job Astros. Phillies, GG.
You could legitimately make an argument for this being a top ten team of all time. 106 wins, 11-2 in the postseason, bullpen had a sub 1 ERA in the playoffs, only swept once all year (by the A’s of all teams because…hey, baseball right?). Never had a bad month or even a bad stretch. I can’t name ten teams with those accomplishments.
And 11-10 is somewhere around an 85 win pace. That was our WORST month. The 2022 Houston Astros were special and all Astros fans should forever appreciate them.
Looking at the dejected Phillies I have to feel for them because that was the Astros the last 2 years. But Astros were the better team and Dusty has his ring. Best manager in baseball and Astros are world champions for just the second time. They are the best!

I’m from LA but I’m the only Dodgers fan in the world whose 2nd favorite baseball team is the Astros because Houston is the Largest City in the State of Texas and the 4th Largest City in the United States. The city has lots of skyscrapers and a metro system, and its primary international airport Bush Intercontinental Airport is a United Airlines hub. In geography I love those.

A great series for the Phillies and Astros nail biting an a lot of anxiety on both parts as an Astros fan I'm glad the team an dusty got a ring (besides the cheating scandal) but the Phillies lineup was great to say the least they never gave up an made the Astros up the ante in order to win even had a 7-0 win against them hats off to both teams I'm quite certain Harper will be leading them back soon great world series in my eyes.

You could legitimately make an argument for this being a top ten team of all time. 106 wins, 11-2 in the postseason, bullpen had a sub 1 ERA in the playoffs, only swept once all year (by the A’s of all teams because…hey, baseball right?). Never had a bad month or even a bad stretch. I can’t name ten teams with those accomplishments.

I can't think of one sports talkshow voice on the station I listen to that DIDN'T talk sh*t about Dusty's managing decisions and lineup choices this entire season. They all bitc*ed about him on a regular basis. Even when he said Yordan was having problems with his hands they made it a point to question whether he should be the manager in years to come. I know, because I've listened to them at work everyday this entire season. The team has heart, talent and they don't quit and Dusty knew that. So happy for Dusty, the team and the HTOWN fans whose support never wavered. 92.5 and 97.5 fm should be forced to listen to rebroadcasts of their diarrhea of the mouth for a month straight.
