    Just a couple of tips for the people.
    Make sure that a ceiling fan or any type of airflow is off. You do not want dust to make its way on the screen after you use the sticker.
    Do not put anything over the tablet's screen that can cause dust to fall on it.
    You will know how the screen protector goes based on the camera cut out on the screen protector. Use that to know how the screen protector goes.
    Basically the most important thing to installing any screen protector is to avoid dust from getting trapped in between the screen and the tempered glass.
    On smaller screen protector, if you do have dust that is trapped underneath the tempered glass you can lift up a corner (MAKE SURE YOUR NAILS ARE CLEAN because if they aren't clean they will leave whatever is under your nail on the glass and it will not go back down) and use the stickers that came with the kit to go under the glass and stick it on and peel it off to remove the dust.

    Just some feedback about Spigen: Multiple people who ordered their Tab S8 Ultra screen protector on Amazon received used products that had previously had the film lifted and re-attached. When I ordered one, I received a box that had been opened but the glass itself looked untouched. After applying it, I found that it didn't sit flat on the bottom left corner due to a defect in the glass (it wasn't cut correctly, or it's not perfectly flat for some other reason), so it lifts up a little there. When I went back on Amazon to request a replacement, I found it was no longer available on Amazon, so I contacted Spigen directly asking for a replacement directly from them. After sending a photo of the issue, they agreed to send me a replacement, but then 3 days later, they emailed me saying that they were out of stock and didn't know when they'd be back in stock (making it sound like they were going to be out for quite some time). Due to this, they told me that they have decided to refund me on Amazon instead and did so. Only THREE days later, I found that the item was available on Amazon again, SHIPPED AND SOLD by Spigen directly, but now listed at a much higher price than I had originally paid. Essentially they're forcing me to buy it at a higher price now. When I emailed them back to point this out, they gave me a non-answer about how Amazon is a competitive marketplace, and that prices may change (refusing to acknowledge that just days ago they were acting like they're not going to see new stock for ages and refunded me without my consent). When I tried to point this out again, they stopped responding to me, and it's now been almost a week with 0 word from them. I just feel that people should know this.

      Oh my, that sucks so bad! That's not cool of them at all, I'm sorry they're putting you through all of this. That's really odd for Spigen to do, they're known for usually being pretty legit. I totally believe you though, I"m seeing a few negative comments starting to get posted on Amazon, I just checked now. That's very unfortunate, because the install "thingy" you rest the tablet in makes for a super clean install. Thankfully I'm starting to see a ton of other options coming in cheaper, so it might be a good idea to just bite the bullet and use one of them. You could probably use that same install "thingy" with it too, so that might work out okay. I'd pick up one of the cheaper 2 packs if they're out for the Ultra. I might end up doing that as well, since I had to pull this one off. There was 1 speck of dust that I didn't see when doing the install on camera, and the air bubble around it just wouldn't go down, so I'm running it naked now too. Makes me feel a bit nervous, that's for sure. Thanks for watching and sharing your insight with everyone, it's greatly appreciated.

      @@RADERTECH I want to give them the benefit of the doubt too because I typically hear great things about them from others, although I personally (as far as I remember) have never used their products before. I don't really blame them for the used item issue, because I've had this kind of issue with Amazon-fulfilled orders before (I ordered a "new" $300 PSU from Amazon once, only to receive one that had not only been previously opened, but whoever did so took the $300 unit and replaced it with their cheap < $100 unit prior to returning it. That's not good of course, but it should have never been my issue to deal with as Amazon shouldn't have sent me a returned unit that was opened when I'm ordering something advertised as "new"). But going almost a week with no response is . . . less than ideal. And I'm not happy that they processed a refund with no confirmation from me, or even asking if I'd be ok with waiting until they had stock.

    • @RADERTECH
      @RADERTECH  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@joon0 I feel your pain. I once bought a $300 ready to fly freestyle drone from them, and it was dead on arrival. I can tell someone had messed with it too. Amazon does a lot of shady crap, that's why I never feel bad when I return stuff without any real good reason, other than changing my mind. They make so much money and work their workers to death in some locations, literally. They're like one of those necessary evils we have in the world, lol.

      so are you saying don't buy this?

    • @RADERTECH
      @RADERTECH  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@fallback8314 I would still recommend it, but the price has sky rocketed! They're asking $35 for it now, no screen protector is worth that cost. It was like $10 to $15 cheaper than that when I made this video. I think there was a bad batch or 2 in the early goings, or somehow they were getting mangled at Amazon (returns, mishandled, not sure) and a few folks had problems with them.
      Considering the price hike, I'd probably go for something like this - www.amazon.com/Samsung-Galaxy-Ultra-Anti-Scratch-Case-Friendly/dp/B09P4Q5W2V/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?keywords=spigen%2Btab%2Bs8%2Bultra%2Bscreen%2Bprotector&qid=1650467898&sprefix=spigen%2Btab%2Bs8%2Bultra%2Caps%2C166&sr=8-1-spons&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEyWks0MTRHU1laWTVZJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMjMwNjU3MUtZV1FGTjFISVcxUSZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwMjAzMTA4Q0pVRklTNENLSE5OJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ&th=1
      You get 2 of them (in case you mess up while installing the first one), and there's a promo code taking them down to under $19. Looks like it's getting good reviews as well.
      I'm just shocked by how much they're charging for the Spigen one now, definitely not worth $35.

    I like the cover, but I honestly think that screen protectors shouldn't be necessary for most tablets or phones that use Gorilla Glass 5. However I imagine that the larger sized Ultra is probably going to be more likely to slip and fall. And if it did fall it's size and weight (still lighter than an iPad Pro!) could potentially cause damage to the screen.
    When it comes to scratches, even on my very low to mid-range phone (Redmi Note 8T) which also has Gorilla Glass 5, after 2 years of constant use and many, many drops, it still doesn't have a single scratch or screen imperfection. So, I'm not planning on using a screen protector on Tab S8 Plus. Having used one on a previous budget tablet, despite many attempts, I came to the conclusion that it is impossible to fit a screen protector without it being visually noticeable. Maybe that was just the brand of screen protector I used, who knows? Anyway, thanks for the vid!

      Hi Paul, thanks for stopping by and watching and for sharing your insight. I know screen protectors are hit and miss with most folks, I'm someone that's on the fence myself. This particular one was a perfect fit (rare) using the guide thingy it came with, but I ended up having a couple specks of dust that didn't show on camera, and end ended up having to remove it, so I'm back to not using one as well. Just be careful with the keyboard cover rubbing up against it when it's closed, those nubs can dig in after time, but I don't think they'd cause anything more than superficial surface scratches that nobody would be able to really see anyways. I do like the peace of mind they give for some reason, but that's just a mental thing, lol. Thanks for watching 👍

    Do you have any issues with the screen protector such as bubbles, dust,cleaning or writing on the screen or the tablet recognizing your fingerprint?

    • @RADERTECH
      @RADERTECH  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you so much for watching! As long as you take your time and are patient, you shouldn't have any problems. You may have a few bubbles for a few days, but they almost always work themselves out. Just be careful to make sure there's no dust at all when applying it. As far as writing goes, it feels about the same, just a bit more slippery, if that makes sense. For the fingerprint reader, it will be touch and go for the first week or so. Make sure to re-register your fingerprint a couple times, and then once more after about 10 days or so, and then it should be great from there on out.

    I'll keep this short...I love, love, LOVE this tablet. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxLNmVocUk8tnSkwWIlYSNFzWRIaFTBuzS The picture quality is amazing and there are so many features that this technodino can't wait to learn! My only (very, very minor) complaint is that I ordered this in bronze and they sent me black. Yes, it should have been corrected, but we were only in country for a short period of time and I didn't want to run the risk of not getting a new one in time. I'm such a fan of Samsung Galaxy tablets that I'd rather suck it up than lose out on having it. In the big scheme of things, this rates an irritant factor of .0000000001 out of 1000. Impact on spen experience, especially for drawing

      There's no real impact other than the s pen just feels different compared to not having it on. I don't notice any reduction in the sensitivity, it just feels different. Not in a good or bad way, just different. Thanks for watching!

    Putting screen protector kills oled display i believe. Good stuff great video.

    • @RADERTECH
      @RADERTECH  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hmm, I've never heard of that before. You shouldn't come across any problems using it with OLED or any other type of panel. There's the layer of glass between the panel itself and the screen protector, so there shouldn't be any problems. You should be fine. Thanks for watching.

      @NINJA THEORY I'm with you. I'm so OCD about micro scratches and scratches in general, they drive me nuts! To me, it's totally worth taking the time and putting in the effort to do a nice screen protector install. I've never once had an issue, including fingerprint recognition and s pen use - it all stays the same. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on it :)

      @NINJA THEORY my freind told me this. He pre ordered s22 ultra. I pre ordered s8 tablet. When i was looking for screen protector for my tablet he said dont put screen protector it will kill the beauty of oled screen. I also heard this concept 1st time in my life. Haahaa

      @@GuguPoems I hope you don't mind me chiming in, I know this was intended for NINJA THEORY. You won't notice any degradation in screen quality or the appearance of things on the screen at all. Please keep in mind that when you install a screen protector, it's not set in stone or anything. What I mean is that you can very easily remove it, it literally takes 5 seconds to do, so you have that option if you're not totally happy with it. Removing it won't harm your device at all. Just lift up one corner with your fingernail and it will pull right off and won't leave anything behind. Give it a nice wipe down with a screen wipe and you won't even know it was ever there. Just sharing my experience of putting well over 100 of these on devices. Most of my extended family asks me to do theirs because they get nervous about it. Just take your time and make sure you keep your heater or A/C unit off during the install, as it might blow some dust on your screen that you can't see during the install.

      @RADER TECH i will go with screen protector. I will not take risk leaving my tablet without protector as i never had any device where i did not put screen protector. Thanks for good tips you shared

    I honestly don't recommend this screen protector, have ordered it 2 times, and is impossible to not get air bubbles, even though you have the guide to help you, air bubbles still remain, and is impossible to get rid of them, and finally decided to take it off.

      Sorry for the slow reply. Yeah, it can be real pain, especially on a tablet this size. I personally don't use screen protectors, outside of doing an occasional video on them.

    That would be nice if their was an actual case that protect the back AND THE SIDES! Samsung what tf?

      I know, it sucks. The worst part is that when you use the back part of the keyboard as a kickstand, the bottom of the tab is complete exposed and rubs against whatever you set it on. They really need to rethink it. I'm giving away a bumper case that protects the back and sides, check on the latest video I posted if you think you might like it. Thanks for watching.

      Nice! Glad they're back in stock, they've been sold out since right after I ordered it. Just be very careful with dust when installing it. As another commenter mentioned, make sure your heater/AC unit is turned off, and that you triple check the screen for dust particles as your installing. I ended up having to remove mine because one little speck of dust was causing one air bubble not to settle. It wouldn't have happened if I was doing it off camera and looking closer, the price was paid for making a video, lol! The best part about this screen protector is the fit - it aligns perfectly with the alignment tool they give you, it really does help a lot. Thanks for watching.
