i like this a lot, i think this veronica is fantastic and her and JD work really well together but i wish kurt would've fallen backwards when he was shot cause the whole 'on the fence' thing didn't really work out
I feel like that wouldn't have been the safest option ;)

He shouldn't have shot them in the back at all tbh, makes the whole "shooting each other at the same time in a gay suicide pact" a little unbelievable...
The actor who plays JD is such a good singer.

Yoyo And Danny in the musical, they try make it lighthearted and glaze over the whole ptsd so I think that’s why he isn’t acting fully psychotic
Can I just say- Charlie Meredith is the PERFECT JD! I'd really love to see him in Meant To Be Yours & the Dead Girl Walking reprise! Also, Shelby Brown is an amazing Veronica as well! She brings so much emotion to the character and it's brilliant. I keep watching these videos because I'm almost convinced I like them better than the original production!
I love the fact that they didn't just stand there and hold hands when reading the suicide note, but turned and smiled at eachother like they really did have something

Also they tried to make it look like they shot each other because they were tragically oppressed gay lovers so they could have been shot in the back from were ram was standing (so they covered their tracks pretty well)

Okay but can we talk about how Ram fell down? And how perfectly Veronica timed her startling reaction? This was perfect and not as confusing as the original (Off-Broadway)

You know, a line I never paid much attention to caught my ear.
"I was a frozen lake. But then you melted me awake..."
JD never set out to murder a bunch of people. He was a silent observer and yes, he hated the Heather's and Kurt and Ram, but it was more like silent disdain and contempt. His emotions weren't strong. I think that when Veronica seduced him in Dead Girl Walking, something stirred inside of him. Veronica made him feel something (lust, affection, whatever it was), which in term awoke all of his other emotions. And the chain he kept around his inner turmoil for years was finally broken. Veronica was half-right in the Dead Girl Walking Reprise. She awoke the monster, but she didn't create it. JD was going to explode (pun not intended) sooner or later, she was just the one to accidentally set it off

I love love LOVE how JD sings louder than Veronica. It shows how he doesn't really love her, she's just the object of his obsession so her voice doesn't matter.

They did such a great job. The subtlety of JD putting his arm around Veronica, almost like choke hold. It's brilliant! The production itself is wonderful. And the actors did fantastic. ❤️

I really love the fact that, in the end, JD "hugs" Veronica, but it doesn't really seem like a hug between the two, it seems she has her trapped, helpless, controlled.
In the case of a character like JD, with the ability to manipulate people through speech, when you see the difference is transcendent

So i have seen all the musical the original and it was good this is just ughhh
I liked how the Veronica actually reacted to the gunshot, because in a lot of other Productions she just looks at it like oh yeah big loud noise. But there's a huge difference between a real gun and a tranquilizer gun. If you've never heard a real gun shoot and been close to 1, they are loud, if you are expecting it and not covering your ears or something you will have ringing in your ears for hours. She covered the air on that side because it was sudden and allowed in her ears were probably ringing. I liked that specific detail.

Yes JD was broke, he was a sociopath but was about to change and not a lot of people believe it but look, it's when he finally believed in love that he got into his mad guy storyline, he saw Veronica crying because of Ram and Kurt and that drove him crazy.
Sure there are other stuff involved but he was ready to change and everyone forget that.
I don't say that he's innocent, he's not, he killed people for what he believed was the right choice (Thanos? Lol) and in this song it really shows.
