I had these values greyed out until I found that that the parameters are shown are in View templates as well. You can also pre-set value of selected parameter in view template. For example, all my section templates have view type = Section.

strange to see this approach after years of another approach in all construction industry in russia. we always use 01_WorkInProgress, 03_Publication and additional like Task, Coordination, Bim, Area calculations.... and then additional levels like Stage P, Stage WD... or if it is a working view we subdivide it by names of designer working on model

Great tutorial. Nonetheless, how could I automaticaly link a new created view (e.g a new section I just made) to its correct view type? (Because the new section I just made, has to be manualy checked on the view type everytime to work, otherwise it'll just go to the "???" view and the workflow process of the project turns out to be slow and repetitive).

I think you can create a view template that dictates where its going to be placed, and on the section edit type you can set it so that all new sections of that type use that view template on creation

On 7:27 I have in my project *View Detail Level* and *View Type* are gray color and cannot be changed because my sheet has a view template selected. What should I do?

this is because these parameters are checked in your view template, if you want to edit these without changing your template, just uncheck these 2. otherwise edit in the template itself.

Create a closet family with the door, then link the door solid with a family visibility parameter (google controlling visibility in revit families).
