Most recently been to China 3x in the last year and can personally attest to the phenomenal changes and the overall satisfaction among friends and relatives about the situation in China. It is NOT the dystopic Orwellian nightmare as portrayed by the Western media narrative. China's great advantage is the government's ability to INTERVENE into the economy. There is no country able to weather economic problems like China because the government can act in the interest of the nation as a whole. No country in the West can do this because in the West its the wealthy capitalist class whose interests are first and the economy and people will be sacrificed for their interests.

Without Trump's first term, China would not have been able to achieve firm industrial upgrading. Previously, China would have purchased high-tech products from the United States. Now, China sees the opportunities brought by its own industrial upgrading. Trump's second term is about to begin, and I think more interesting things may happen.

Why are people afraid of the truth? Censorship is one way to hide from revealing things we don't want to reveal. So the bottom line question is can you trust a country which censors so excessively as China? What have they got to hide? The US needs to learn China’s ancient wisdom of Daoism. If one insists on going against the Dao, even if things seem to go in the way one wishes in the beginning, eventually things will only backfire in the most unexpected places because it isn’t compatible with the Dao.
Fact is factories will go to Thailand, Indonesia, southeast asian, Mexico ,vietnam, still not back to US for manufacturing. Bring all manufacturing to US is kind of utopia.
Consequences had come knocking on the US. Since the US had keep the world under their knees, these countries had become more suitable for manufacturing due to cheaper labour. Business will not be going back to US for their expensive production.
Well spoken, not biased, everything about the truth. I am totally agreed with you Cyrus. We must co-exit in this world for mutual good. We are family of the world.
The US and Western European allies have exploited Africa for hundreds of years and this has crippled development in these countries. And I’m talking about human development, that is education, healthcare, housing, good jobs, infrastructure which is what the BRICS and China’s belt and road is bringing to African nations. China is not about exploiting Africa and Latin America but helping them develop. For instance Peru and China just opened the largest port in the western hemisphere which will greatly help the development of these countries. China goes to a poor country and says we want to help you build hospitals, schools, and roads, bridges. The US goes to countries and builds a military base which has nothing to do with development. A US military base is the center of regime change and CIA operations that undermine elected governments and the global south is sick of it. China recently eliminated the debt of 17 African nations. Now that money can go towards development instead of Wall Street banks. Ha HA Biden’s sanctions against Putin and Russia backfired - China and Russia are now closer than ever. BRICs actually called for self determination for Palestine - a single Palestinian state. The US dollar will not “collapse” but it will loose it’s position as the worlds reserve currency. Bretton Woods and the unipolar world dominated by the US and Europe is dead - it’s a multi polar world now which will be much more equal, much more democratic, much less racist, with much less wars.
There is a clear reason for everything you said, which has nothing to do with malice. Those countries want those US military bases because it is free national defense. They do not want the white people to "help" them with anything - they have an eternal grudge against white people for the colonialism of the past.
BRICS's diversity...... A great example of how diversity is NOT a barrier to successful cooperation and mutual economic advancement is the shining case of ASEAN. It's a region of high diversity and yet it's prospering in peace since its inception.
8:00 Chinese has been a trading nation for thousands of years. All merchants have the simple concept.. if you customers getting richer and richer, they'll buy more and more from you. China is still a developing country, so they fully understand the benefits of having such infrastructure for the African countries in order to get off from the bottom and climb the wealth ladder. This is a long term view to grow your customers, which the US and the west lack.
Correct. It was fun to see the US election when Harris was admitting they need to raise taxes in this financial situation. While the other side seems this was outrageous, they would lower taxes. And then the sentence: 100% tarifs on China….😱 this is 100% taxes on own population…🙈 This will not punish China, but the American people…you’r right!

American can just move production in a less hostile country without fear of technology theft, and hostile trade practices. ASEAN countries are ripe and just waiting & welcoming especially the Philippines.
@RolandoBarangan-e3k Move production to ASEAN? Do merikans even know China is now the top trading partner of ASEAN and all members of Asean signed RCEP(a regional FTA like NAFTA) with China and already integrated themselves into Chinas global supply chains? Even If merikans manage to move all productions to Asean, these countries still needs to import all kinds of critical materials, machines and equipments frm China to assembly and produce the final products due to their extremely close trading connection and high dependence on China. Let alone Asean is actually in the backyard of China frm a geographical standpoint, merikas effort to move production within Chinese sphere of military influence is literally a laughable joke. Imposing tariffs and levying taxes are two completely different concepts. The former is paid by the product buyers, while the latter is paid by the product manufacturers and sellers. Therefore, retailers only care about making the maximum profit; they need high-quality and low-cost goods, and Chinese manufacturing still holds an advantageous position, thanks to their comprehensive supply chain. They can supply their products to retailers at unchanged prices, who then add a 60% markup to sell to the end users. So, isn't it clear who is really paying for Trump's tariffs?
It is time for the US leaders to start looking from the inside and learn from their mistakes, and learn from the China. Keeps looking outside and trying to contain other countries that's like when a student got a bad grade and then blamed the teacher. 😊
It is actually relative. Certainly, the Chinese respect Trump MORE THAN they respect Biden. Trump at least is not two-faced when it comes to agreements . Trump will formally withdraw or tear up any agreement if he has no intention of adhering to it. Unlike Blinken, under Biden, where Biden will say one thing but the State Department will be doing the total opposite.
Trump’s maga crowd will never question Trump, they still believe Trump made Mexico pay for the wall and China paid for the tariffs. Trump is going to back stab Asia including Taiwan and contribute to US’ reputation especially in Asia

As a Taiwanese, just my opinion, D.T. is just most inappropriate person to be put in that position. Yet, it happens again, he won't make US great again, or US influence more positive in a way among international society. As for manufacturing business, this field would be the victims of his "tough policy", because every state has its own main industries and economic problems, in combining whole US, that's the problem of top priority he should start to deal with economic policies, employment, salary, industrial environment improvement and so on. And taking chip manufacturing business for example, US ditched that many decades ago, and Taiwan developed our own tech industry from that moment on base on tech parts assembly industry, and now D.T. said we steal that away from US???!!?! I mean, dancing around with insane person is not a thing we Taiwanese like, but this is reality at the moment we have to face (we also have our own problems among ourselves) let's just hope that everything is ok in the near future
@jordanchong7311 no doubt, it's just the economic reality is that your next "new" leader doesn't seem to be nervous of selling a blank policy to your own people and also making nonsense claims to "MAKE US GREAT AGAIN", instead of really looking into the problems and making practical policies steps by steps. The concept is a noble one provided the chain of countries along the route is able to participate in it with their own monies. When they could not, China offered to extend credit to help the country that could not afford it BUT with conditions of course. In the process, the poor country get "poorer" in the process and becomes in debted. This massive project came at a time when China was prosperous. Now that it is in dire strait economically at home, the project will be delayed indefinitely... In summary, the visionary project is a difficult one to bring to fruition.

Thinking back now, I don’t understand why the US didn’t take a bigger interest in South America. Now I feel like China has made some major in roads. I guess most American companies were afraid of the government instability while China will deal with just about anyone and is in it for the long haul and not just for the quick buck.
One thing people forget is that once that Chinese made cup costs 40$, domestic manufacturers will raise their prices to match and even increase that, based on the fact that it's a US made product. Also items that are not imported from China will also see an increase. So US consumers can expect a roughly 60% inflation across the market in the next year or two. that's nothing to be excited about.
You're just scaring yourself ijiot. Companies can opt out of tariffed countries as simple as that. If Trump managed to get manufacturing back in the US, that would give its citizen more buying power that it offsets global inflation. Local manufacturing also results to surplus and surplus results to price reduction. The reason why China was able to raise its prices in the Western world is they put surplus in other countries like SEA or Africa.
@@jonconnor0729 I think what people shouldn't do is underestimating the greed of corporations - Say a China-made cup is $20 while a US-made cup is $30. With 100% tariffs, people expect the China-made cup to be $40 and citizens now go for the US-made $30 cup. But what's stopping the US manufacturer from raising it's price to $38? You're now gonna buy the US-made cup because it's cheaper than the China-made cup, but if you look the big picture you're paying $18 more than the price you could have gotten it pre-tariffs.
Cyrus gives us the real alternative info we never get from the media but is the truth. China is a stronger option that we dont know about.Gradually its the stronger of the two.

Any person can be an American president is both a myth and a nightmare for a country. Being the leader of a country like China, America, Russia or even UK ought to be based on competence, experience, and qualification being just a partial list. Obviously, you can see that Green T Shirt is unqualified to be a leader. The reality is, the less competent a foreign leader and his team is, the better it is for the competing country. A nation ending up with a poor leader can be traced to their electoral system. A country that can't even choose a good leader, trying to choose leaders for others is doom to failure.

I doubt he will use the tariff trick again. He has learned his lesson. My guess is, the tariff was never his idea to begin with. **TheDeepState** made him it. This time around, he will fly to China immediately and chummy up with Xi. Like in 2008, China is his only salvation.
What I'm curious is, even if you bring back manufacturing to US, who is going to do the job for the reindustrialization? Let's say like the fastfood worker, worker wants $25 an hour. probably most of the workload goes to machines, and have few peoples employed for the whole factory. With the tariff, let's say you end up with china made goods for $5, and US made goods for $7. but still outside USA, it'll still be $1. And because you can't export those goods because you can't compete in price in the global market, the market will be smaller, so you can't scale it up as much. Then because the stuff made in US is so expensive (small market, expensive cost), the worker scream even more that they can't buy anything. So they demand $30 an hour. gen z worker "I deserve everything" + dudebro MBA "cut cost everything" + shareholder "infinite growth". Probably end up with very expensive yet low quality products.
Manufacturing will never return to the US because the mentality of US workers are realy backwards. Take the Boeing labour strike. The union actually wanted pension for every worker. In this modern world, where can you still find jobs with pension ? From a welfare perspective, it is fabulous. But the real working world is such a different place now (like it or not). It goes to show how 'backwards' the US really is. Eventually the new contract meted out is increase in pay over 3 years, and the pension was dropped.
Sorry to say this but with decoupling with China u can see shift and dollar gonna loose his value.if us not doing business then other countries will do with there own currency so how gonna dollar maintain that value if transaction gonna shift in local currency.

Tariffs and trade restrictions on made-in-China manufactured goods? No problem .... or as the Chinese would say, méi wèn tí 没问题 meaning, "No problem."... move their manufacturing to other countries that has no tariffs nor trade restrictions which are still owned by China companies but now has become made-in-Malaysia/Indonesia/Cambodia/Laos/Thailand/Mexico/South Africa/etc. ... indeed, no doubt a little inconvenient, but méi wèn tí, and even xiǎo máobìng (small problem). I understand and speak Mandarin which gives me a good understanding in the field. The economy has hit a downturn; however, the gov't is taking measures to assist it. It is NOT the dystopic Orwellian nightmare as portrayed by the Western media narrative. I will be in Chengdu in March with my 88 y/o mother, brother and sister-in-law to seek out ancestral sites, previously difficult to access but today with high speed rail a breeze!

A great example of how diversity is NOT a barrier to successful cooperation and mutual economic advancement is the shining case of ASEAN.

Correct. It was fun to see the US election when Harris was admitting they need to raise taxes in this financial situation. While the other side seems this was outrageous, they would lower taxes.

👇
Timeline of the South China Sea dispute
* It has been claimed by the People's Republic of China on the argument that since 200 BCE Chinese fishermen have used the Spratly islands
* Naval forces of the Liu Song dynasty (420-479 CE) patrolled the Paracel and Spratly islands.[5] In the Tang dynasty (618-907 CE), the islands were placed under the administration and authority of the Qiongzhou Prefecture (now Hainan Province).[5] The Chinese administration of the South China Sea continued into the Song dynasty (960-1279 CE).[5]
* Archaeologists have found Chinese made potteries porcelains and other historical relics from the Southern dynasties (420-589 CE), the Sui dynasty (581-619 CE), the Tang dynasty, the Song dynasty, the Yuan dynasty (1271-1368 CE), the Ming dynasty (1368-1644 CE) and later eras up to modern times on the South China Sea islands.[5]
1876 - China makes its earliest documented claim to the Paracel Islands[citation needed]
1883 - When the Spratlys and Paracels were surveyed by Germany in 1883, China issued protests.
1887 - In the 19th century, Europeans found that Chinese fishermen from Hainan annually visited the Spratly islands for part of the year, while in 1877 it was the British who launched the first modern legal claims to the Spratlys
1902 - China sends naval forces on inspection tours of the Paracel Islands to preempt French claims.[28] Scholar François-Xavier Bonnet argued that per Chinese records, these expeditions never occurred and were backdated during the 1970s.[29][30]
1907 - China sends another naval force, this time to plan for resource exploitation.[28]
1911 - The newly formed Republic of China, successor state to the Qing dynasty, moves administration of the Paracel Islands to Hainan,[28] which would not become a separate Chinese province until 1988.
1946 - The R.O.C. established garrisons on both Woody (now Yongxing / 永兴) Island in the Paracels and Taiping Island in the Spratlys. France protested. The French tried but failed to dislodge Chinese nationalist troops from Yongxing Island/Woody Island (the only habitable island in the Paracels), but were able to establish a small camp on Pattle (now Shanhu / 珊瑚) Island in the southwestern part of the archipelago.[37][38][39]
The Republic of China drew up The Southern China Sea Islands Location Map, marking the national boundaries in the sea with 11 lines, two of which were later removed, showing the U-shaped claim on the entire South China Sea, and showing the Spratly and Paracels in Chinese territory, in 1947.[28]
The Americans reminded the Philippines at its independence in 1946 that the Spratlys was not Philippine territory, both to not anger Chiang Kai-shek in China and because the Spratlys were not part of the Philippines per the 1898 treaty Spain signed with America.[38]
1950 - After the Chinese nationalists were driven from Hainan by the People's Liberation Army (PLA), they withdrew their garrisons in both the Paracels and Spratlys to Taiwan.
1969 - A UN sponsored research team discovers oil under the sea floor of the island group.
1970 - China occupies Amphitrite Group of the Paracel Islands
* In 1596, the Spanish Colonial Government declared that each island in the Kalayaan Islands, now known as the Spratly Islands, had Barangay or Barrio status.
1971 - Philippines announces claim to islands adjacent to its territory in the Spratlys, which they named Kalayaan, which was formally incorporated into Palawan Province in 1972. The Philippines President Marcos announced the claims after Taiwanese troops attacked and shot at a Philippine fishing boat on Itu Aba.[

@@zuiwoshachang Your theory only exists only if the US can produce that "cup".

It’s all about fairness and recognition!
👍The world wants China to build their high speed rail . They also want China to help build their sea ports. HERE.., TRUMP CANNOT APPLY HIS TARIFF FORMULA.
When it comes to EV , Trump threatens to apply his 100% tariff. Who pays, for the tariff ? The American buyers pay. China don't pay ⁉️‼️
..., Harris Ng YM 👻😄☕🌹🍰🥪🍜 🇨🇳. 👎🇺🇸🔥
As Chinese , I like Trump as a person, but not as American
@4:56; if you're saying that Trump is saying these things about China to win votes, isn't that playing politics??(saying whatever you got to just to win including lies he's told?) The business people are the ones tearing up America, and the people let one become President again. As much as some want to keep saying he's not a politician, he's been playing politics from the 1st time he ran for office. He's a business and a politician now, and everyone needs to accept that (He's not your average politician though). He has donors now like Elon Musk and playing the same games other politicians play including telling his base what they want to hear.
i think is the politician that ruining everything, the make the policies
Tariffs and trade restrictions on made-in-China manufactured goods? No problem .... or as the Chinese would say, méi wèn tí 没问题 meaning, "No problem."... move their manufacturing to other countries that has no tariffs nor trade restrictions which are still owned by China companies but now has become made-in-Malaysia/Indonesia/Cambodia/Laos/Thailand/Mexico/South Africa/etc. ... indeed, no doubt a little inconvenient, but méi wèn tí, and even xiǎo máobìng (small problem).
Traditionally, the Chinese people are well known for their astute business acumen and those in Washington will find it very difficult to outsmart and outmaneuver them in trade wars.
Other points including : vast improvement its infrastructure, EV-public transportation, EV manufacturing, space exploration and space technology, military hardware development and technology development….etc. which dare I say surpassed western countries such as the United States 🇺🇸, Britain 🇬🇧, and other nations, but correct me if I am wrong….
you are wrong. huawei is in panic now as TSMC stops its chip supply
Of course China is going to be hurt by the tariffs. Because when the price of goods in the USA goes up, due to the tariffs, the demand will go down. Ask the UK about it. English industry moved to Europe to avoid paying tariffs in the EU, and being priced out of the market.
But China will concentrate more on selling to other markets. USA is not centre of the the earth.
@ that only works if there is a demand in that markets.
The world has 8bil people. The US is only 330mil. Find out what % of export to US is of China's gross export. Besides, it can always have FDI with other countries to export globally. U can't stop importing their products coming in.
@@jannetteberends8730Plenty of demand. China is already selling in record numbers to other markets, electric cars for example to Brazil, Australia and Thailand to name just a few. The global south is the future, US and Europe are in decline.
@@Firecrackersylv they would need to sell 10x as much to other countries to make what they lose in the US, good luck.
Better use global majority then global south. Because it is global majority
Both times, last and this time, Trump has selected the most anti-China Hawks as Secretary of State and war hawk as secretary of defence!
As the saying goes, actions speak louder than words!
The next 4 years will be hell hole for China (because of US), hell hole for US because of the waves of changes that the incoming president 'promises' as per his rally and challenging for the world as a whole because it is difficult to deal with a brat. For sure, Europe is not keen to have to put up with his nonsense.. Can't wait to read Germany ex-Chancellor Angela Merkel autobiography....
The price of those fortune cookies Are going up since Trump started charging higher import taxes on them !
I AGREE WITH LIKING TRUMP. BUT, YES I TOO LIVED IN CHINA SEVERAL YEARS BUT I SEE IT AS PEOPLE IN USA WILL NOT PAY THE PRICE FOR A VEHICLE OF LESS QUALITY AT THE SAME PRICE WOULD YOU BUY A BYD INSTEAD OF A TOYOTA OF SIIMILIAR STYLE AT SAME PRICE , NOT ME, USUALLY CHINESE PRODUCTS FOR THE MOST PART ARE NOT VERY GOOD, BUT THEY DO MAKE SOME GOOD THINGS, BUT MOST WILL PREFER HYNDAI OR TOYOTA THEN CHINESE BRANDS.
They obviously have never tried driving a BYD. They are not of a lower quality, quite the opposite.
@@Firecrackersylv WHILE I AGREE TO AN EXTENT I OWN A BYD SEALION AND HAVE HAD 3 PROBLEMS IN1 YEAR WITH IT SO FAR, ITS A GOOD MID LINE CAR THE ROUGH RIDE AND ADAS SYSTEM IS A PROBLEM AFTER I SET THE SETTINGS ON MY CAR WHEN I TURN IT OFF THE SETTING REVERSE BACK TO THE FACTORY SETTINGS, THE CAR IS SIMILIAR TO A TOYOTA COROLLA HYBRID WHICH MINE IS. I LIKE IT BUT I AM FINDING OUT NEW THINGS EVERY MONTH ON THIS MID LINE 30K CAR. THIS IS MY OPININ AND MY FINDINGS ON MY NEW CAR.
Chinese love Donald J Trump
He is a mad dog, he can bite you for nothing and demands you pay him compensation.
The problem is and what you don’t mention is people in the USA are charged what they can pay.
You can make that cup for $1 in China and $4 in the USA. However, Walmart will still charge $25 for the cup. It helps the share holders more than the consumer in the long run. One day, we will not have jobs at all. Then we can’t buy the cup at all.
Just telling the facts.
Oh really? How come there's 0 Chinese electric cars in the United States ?
BYD sells electric school buses and trucks from its California bus assembly line.
Geely, through its subsidiaries Volvo, Polestar and Mack, will soon do this
Oh well tariffs is what we should have gotten rid of. Tax everybody else
