I love this scene because after Mr.Brown(Daveed Diggs) picked up JackWill(Noah Jupe) he started crying and needed a hug. I’d held it together just about until this scene. But seeing Jack finally be able to realise what he’d done and decide it was time to start sticking up for his friend had me in tears. This film is exceptional for the good light it shines on all the characters, even those who are seemingly awful. (Except Julian’s mum, screw her)
The book is amazing. Read it for my first year of secondary school (high school 🇬🇧) didn’t appreciate what an amazing choice it was by our home room tutor
Same I cried during this scene it’s definitely a heart breaking one but it matters because Jack realizes he can be a better friend to Auggie.
