Final fantasy 15 was my first final fantasy game I played probably and completed (I’d played a little of ff7 but was too young to play it properly) it always holds a special place for me. I understand a lot of people didn’t enjoy this game at first but love it.
i going to be honest, for about 14 years watching japanese anime, i can now tell that i fully understand what this woman just said in japanese, pretty impressive of myself
still can't believe this has happened years ago already, man take me back to when it was all new again. so much Beauty in FF15 and its music, to date my Fav Final fantasy right behind 7.
Somnus always gets me. It makes me so emotional. Like it feels like the song itself is just pouring emotions out of every note. Truly Beautiful. Truly.

You may never like Final Fantasy in terms of gameplay or plot. But you can't not like its music. P. S. I wish I could speak Japanese so fluently as that guy..
So, I put my "listening to actual good music very expensive" headphones now. The music is amazing, truly gorgeous, I absolutely love it but. There were many mistakes during the drum set + 2 electric guitars part. I guess it's difficult. Also, Shimomura can't play in a band. Lot of mistakes there too.
Way back, when the video was released, I posted some information about her. Nothing creepy, I just headed over to the orchestra's official site and took the publicly available information and put it in the comment section since many people were interested in her. I've been called a creep, a stalker, and ultimately the comment was removed.
Why conferancies need to jesture that much?....is it why because they dont know what to do with their hands or where to put them while introducing the show?
Yikes. Some of this performance is “rough”. Intonation issues, slower tempo than written, wrong notes, improper phrasing. I don’t mean to be mean, but was this sight read?
I'm not a "game" person so come to this as a musician having no visual connections to be triggered by the music. Listening to the music purely as music, I'm afraid I find much of it (but not all) to be shallow musical rhetoric. For the many who know the game and enjoy this music, sorry I don't wish to offend and I'm happy you enjoy it, but.... Apart from the classical repertoire, I'm a movie music fan, but the better composers for movies write music way better than this.
Bryan Leech What about Somnus? i dont know much about music, granted, but i just love the piece and i think the orchestra did a wonderfull job playing it. Esepecially the guy who did the solo violin part.
Kimberly. You don't need to know anything about music to enjoy it - (anyone who says otherwise is a snob) . I guess as someone who does have musical knowledge, I approach music a bit differently. It does allow you to get even more enjoyment, but you also see weaknesses that would otherwise not be noticed. But don't get me wrong; there is music I enjoy that I know isn't really very good; and there is other music that I know, from my musical knowledge, is very good, but doesn't appeal to me. Sounds a bit contradictory, but musical enjoyment is a personal thing and don't think I am putting anyone down who enjoys this.

There are cases of music for movies being generic and not that great, as you well know. It also happens VERY often with videogames. well the game is kinda crappy itself. It has wacky gameplay and not very good fight mechanic. I mean like you can't even drive in this game the way you want. The story is casual, full of cliche. But the OST is magnificent. Have you played Witcher 3? It has better story, more fight techinque and soundtrack is decent.
