    FINALLY! a video of the Burn-E 2! I would like to say Unofficially I'm probably the first owner in Australia of the Burn-E2. I'm almost at the 1000km mark on mine and I would like to say it does not miss a beat. It is a great overall scoot. I got it originally because realistically with the Australian laws I can only go 25kmph so it was a no brainer. It's still quick off the mark and the max speed is still more than enough. I've got my settings in a really good place where I can actually get more KMs than the original Nami. I Tested that with a friend who has one and I was more than surprised. He then changed settings on his closer to mine. But to anyone who wants to get a Nami but is scared off by the price.. do test this one. Guaranteed it will blow your mind without blowing out the budget. 😁

      @@mike-gear2review I have the X mode on full max so I pretty much left that. Eco I have it so my max is around 15kmph good for the congested areas I scoot through, cause you can only go through those areas at 10km. The D setting I have set at 35kmph max. Due to Au being limited at 25km and I found I got a good range doing long rides sitting between 25-35. Now with all modes (besides X) I dropped the power levels for the front motor about 10% this allowed me a smoother take off that a full torque take off. And obviously just did that with all the other settings but increased the speed level/power levels. If that made any sense 😅

      @@s2mc-w899 how much max range you getting? I'm debating between the pro or this version e 2 and battery size and generic cells scare me off a bit

    • @s2mc-w899
      @s2mc-w899 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@StivenAgoubi if I'm doing an average speed between 25-35 I'm getting a max of 120km ish, 110 before it drops in and out of eco when the battery hits 25%. I'm not sure why everyone freaks out about the generic batteries. I've almost hit 1000km and I've had no problems at all with any of the machine. Once everyone gets over the whole "brand named" batteries, you'll find generic are as good as any other. Also regardless of what type of battery you have you still have to be carefu how you treat theml. Yes the max speed is roughly 72-74kmph but where I live I don't need to be getting to 100 😅. The new model came with a dampener, larger handlebars and the connectors on the deck had better water proofed connections.
      I'm always surprised by how much range I get on the smaller version. Defs well worth a look at.

    I ordered mine in early March and just recently been able to ride it with the weather becoming more favorable. Although this version of the Burn-E only goes 45MPH it still maintains 72volt controllers. What does this mean ? Well, it means that you might not be able to highway this scooter but it will eat any hill you throw at it. My commute consists of 5 and 8 percent grade hills which is suicide on a bicycle…unless you are a pro athlete. I am coming from a motorcycle and still, this is some of the best fun you can have on two wheels. I find the power exhilarating which entices me to go find new terrain to tear up. This is my first electric scooter and from a price to performance standpoint I really couldn't have chosen a better option.
    A few things I should mention :
    My commute is about 21 miles round trip and my total remaining battery after that commute ranges from 67 % to 72 % when I am not hooning it.
    And …..
    Never ever ride an e-scooter on the highway, its illegal and dangerous.
    Ride Safe. Have Fun.

      Hi Anthony,
      This is a great question. I wrote a couple articles about racing, but they were mainly on applying motorcycle racing techniques to riding scooters. I don't have one about the body mechanics for scooter riding. I wish I had some track time to develop a feel for the right way to carry a lot of speed through corners. So far, my gut feel is that scooters feel pretty sketchy when you're trying to carry a ton of speed through corners, because the mass is so centralized in the deck. I haven't tried PMT tires yet. I think a scooter like the Wolf King GT with PMT's might be really good because the weight is spread out into the stem (motor controllers mounted on the big heavy forks). -Paul

    In this class of scooter which one is easiest to maintain? In terms of tire changes, brake, and suspension maintenance.

    • @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide
      @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      That's a great question. The CST 11" tires I've worked with have been a complete pain in the butt to change. I Think th TUOVTT tires are a little easier to install and get seated.
      All of the scooters should be similar in terms of brakes, though I feel like Zoom brakes go soft on us faster than Nutt, and so far the Logans still feel perfect.
      Anything with connectors near the controls: so called plug-and-play connectors, is going to be fairly easy to work on. The NAMI scooters have them, as do most of the recent scooter designs.
      The NAMI is a fairly open design, so it's easy to get to everything, and unlike some scooters, you don't have to stuff 2 pounds of wire spagghetti into a 1 lb box in order to close the lid.
      Suspension maintenance is a very interesting question. Hydraulic shocks like these will eventually leak and fail. The good news is that they're easy to remove and replace and are a fairly common size if you want to swap them out for something else. The Wolf scooters don't really take full advantage of having hydraulic forks and are probably less prone to leaking because they aren't causing any pressure inside the seals.
      Basically, I don't see a big difference between the beast-scooters in terms of maintenance.

    I know you explicitly say this is the best ride quality and suspension you've used, but more specifically, how would you compare it to let's say a wolf warrior x pro in terms of ride quality and suspension? It is worth noting the x pro does not have the same controller as this either, it uses the more jerkey one.
    Range and ride quality are by far the most important thing to me and considering an offer for $1800 for my used ww x pro to go ahead and upgrade to this. I just want to make sure the upgrade is not super small. I don't anticipate performance to be much different, of at all.

    • @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide
      @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's a tough one. The Wolf Warrior X and Pro are still two of the most underrated scooters ever. they are ridiculously good for the price.
      The X and X pro are a bit more nimble than any 11" tire scooter. Because the suspension is so good on the X and X Pro, to me, the big difference is that the BURN-E 2 has gobs of acceleration. The X takes 1.5 times as long to get to 35 mph as the BURN-E 2. (5.5 sec vs 8.1sec) The NAMI suspension is way better than most scooters, but only a little better than the Wolf scooters. -Paul

    • @jacobkemple7747
      @jacobkemple7747 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide What about the fact my version of wolf warrior x, as in the pro it uses the minimotors controller? Does the smoother acceleration factor into my decision much for ride quality? I should note I’m in a pretty dense urban city with a huge range in road conditions. From very poor city road littered with pot holes and uneven surfaces to beautiful silky smooth city fresh roads.
      I find the wolf warrior x pro to have pretty jerky acceleration and fairly poor suspension for speeds above 20 mph if road conditions are poor. I’d like to worry slightly less about pot holes and uneven road surfaces at 30 mph and higher, which 11 inch tires and adjustable suspend suspension would seem to do. The sine wave controller, the dashboard display, and others just seem like a bonus but a welcomed one.
      I agree though that the wolf warrior x the none pro model is a beast of a deal. Unfortunately for me even the x pro is teetering on insufficient battery range, so no way the base model worked for me. Range is another reason I’m strongly considering this scooter as an upgrade. P.S I’d consider my self a huge scooter enthusiast and the idea of absolutely best in class dedicated non portable commuter electric scooter is one I’m okay with.

    • @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide
      @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jacob,
      Yeah, the throttle is way way better on the NAMI. I've gotten used to the MiniMotors controllers on the X Pro, but the NAMI is smoother as butter, but also huge huge power, which is the best combination. The 11" tires, better suspension and super solid frame also make the worst potholes feel way better.
      We did get 25% more range out of the BURN-E 2 than the WW X Pro, while also going faster on the NAMI. So the range improvement will be noticeable on the BURN-E 2 vs X Pro. -Paul

      @@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide So I purchased and received and tested this scooter in the video. I can say it's actually a pretty significant upgrade for the specific things I care about, range, dealing with poor roads, and throttle/break ergonomics.
      The size of the tires and the superior suspension is specifically very noticeable when coming across poor road conditions.

      @@jacobkemple7747 I've been looking at the WWX base model (due to sinewave controller and fact I'd put a second battery on it anyway) for quite some time. I was about to pull the trigger on it but then this cheaper Nami came around and I've read the above comments between you and Paul at ESG and now I'm not sure which route to go. I'm a small (5'5" 120 lbs) scooter nerd and I feel like quality is the most important to me. I really do want the Max to be able to go above 50 MPH but not sure if it's worth the extra $1,400.....Since you now have both the WWX and the Nami Burn-E 2 which one do you prefer? Is the extra cost on the Nami worth it compared to the WWX? Even Paul is saying that WWX is super under-rated and for $2k it's hard to argue with...I would hate to spend $2k though and then be upset that I didn't spend the extra $1,400 for the Nami but was hoping it might be similar to the feeling of not spending the extra $1,400 on the Max....Is 45 MPH max top speed enough?
