Awesome set up man this is the best set up I’ve seen on TH-cam short of buying a 40,000 dollar firewood processor. Thanks for sharing this awesome set up!!
Nice job Jeff, i am building one also ;) Eliminates the back-breaking bending, you should make a jig t the end where the saw is to your length, it will eliminate the chalk and measuring tape, anyway on to building mine ;)
Pretty neat ! Thank you for sharing. I wonder if you stood on a small platform, 12" - 16" tall when doing the cutting if that might make it a little more ergonomic for your arm ?
I love your setup man ! I wanna do something similar . I wanna make a bump stop So I dont have to mark or measure cuts , slid to end and cut at 16". Then goanna put my electric splitter right below it
Nice , but can the saw kick back and cut you doing that single handed approach ? , and you seem to be standing a tad low , but yeah Im currently working on a similar project good to see someone successfully doing what Ive planed .
Hi Colin. I've never had a kick back problem. The tip of the bar doesn't ever get into log. The height works for me. Saves my aching back from bending. Good luck with your build!
Instead of measuring and marking why not just make a stop of some sort so that your wood is automatically cut to length? You have built what I have been imagining...thanks.
Hi Bubba. Thanks for the comment. I tried a couple things that didn't work out. I want to re-work the conveyor and when I do I'll rig something up. For smaller wood that I can advance with one hand I made a couple marks on the backboard at 16" increments. Grab the log at one mark and slide it up to the next. Definitely saves a lot of time!

Thanks Bram. Guess what? Two years ago I bought a $40,000 processor!

Ingenious idea... all you need is a stopper and a spring loaded clamp to hold the log... love it though
What I had in mind for myself with the manual roller conveyor and chainsaw set up 👍
Perfect, just getting into the business. A lot of work but in shape. Nice setup
Great setup 👍🇦🇺🍻
Looks very good. Consider to rework/lower your hinge so you can handle the saw more ergonomically. Simple solution but works extremely well!
Nice setup.
So to add bar oil do you need to disconnect the saw?
