hi from the uk.i have brown super nova,73 years old in march.love the bike. notice a reply from economical rides,hi there also. i have a problem with my lower legs.tonight have fitted a foot peg rubber to meteor gear pedal to help me with pedal position when changing down. the rubber is much chunkier, more than twice as big as original.
I’m 61 and just got a “Thumper last October as my first bike after a Vespa. 1000km so far. Waiting for April here in Canada. Loved your video. Glad to be in the RE 350 Meteor club
Johnny, Great video !! I am 72 also !! I am really thinking about getting a Meteor too !! Glad that you like yours !! Looking forward to more of your travels !! Dave
I have a Meteor Blue Super Nova too! Bought it back in September, lovely bike so comfy, just a little tall for me so i do struggle with footing the bike, but I still love it nice and light to handle and she does handle so well. great video best wishes safe biking Carol
Great video Johnnie, so glad that your trip went well and that you are still loving your Meteor as much as I am loving mine. Stay safe and get busy planning that next road trip 👍 Cheers my Meteor brother !
Hello there! Mike india golf uniform echo lima here, transtitting from Portugal! I read your comment at Freddie Dobbs channel video about the Royal Enfield Meteor and end up here.😁I love your youthfull spirit and your video, Sir!💜 It was inspiring!💯Keep it up!❤🔥😉
This is fantastic. I am a Westerner living in Japan and am looking at buying a Royal Enfield Interceptor. I've had mostly Japanese bikes and some Euro bikes, but the 650 Interceptor seems like a chance to own a bike with the character of an old bike without having to restore it, haha! In my head it makes more sense to just get a Honda like everyone else though. Maybe the heart will win this time around and I'll go with the Enfield!
I'd say follow your heart, and you'll see your head will agree... Apart from the annoying foot peg placement Interceptor is a really nice bike, and definitely has much more character than Hondas. The feeling of that torquey pull of RE 650 engine is very satisfying. -Kari
Nice video. Everytime I watch a motorcycle ride video from some other country it is so beautiful. Usually cloudy and raining. I live in Arizona, USA. Always hot, bright sun, desert, nothing green, no clouds, no rain, very dusty. I am 2 months away from being 63, with a left knee replacement, and probably a right one coming up. I have a 2013 Royal Enfield B5 Bullet 500, converted to an Amal carburetor, and with an aftermarket exhaust. I cannot ride it very far from home because it has tube type tires, and there are a lot of cactus thorns around here that will puncture tubes. In my condition I cannot fix a flat tube type tire out on the road. I wanted a bike to ride 200-300 miles from home. I looked at the Meteor, a blue Supernova just like yours, only here they don't come with the windshield like they are supposed to. The price was $4549 USD. But by the time the crooked scamming dealer got done adding on all the bogus fees, it came to just a little over $7300 USD. I was really disappointed, I thought I would be riding it home. But I was not going to be cheated like that. This was the only RE dealer (stealer) in the state. I kept looking on Craigslist and found a like new 2016 Harley Davidson Sportster 883 with less than 2000 miles on it for $7000 USD, NO FEES. I bought it. It has a lot more displacement than the Meteor, and keeps up just fine on our freeways that pretty much everybody uses for a racetrack, but it is no sport bike. The nice part is that it has a 25" high seat, so I can get on and off easily even with my bad knees and fairly sever arthritis. Also has a very upright riding position, so most of my weight (I am 6' 240) is supported by the seat, not my legs, arms, and shoulders.
Such a shame about the RE dealer... At least here the price is what it says on their website, no hidden extra costs. I'm glad you found the right type of bike for you in the end, I hope you get to have many happy kilometres / miles on your Sportster! - Kari

More videos coming soon, we have several trips planned already.
One of the best motorbikes for Thailand is the simple Royal Enfield Interceptor 650.
Saving up my baht to buy one.
Aye, Interceptor fits Thailand very well, as do all Royal Enfields. It's always a pleasure to spend time with RE bikes. - Kari
