The Rock n Roller Coaster being Muppets themed makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. While the Muppets are known in part for music, it's usually slower paced music where they wouldn't get through an entire song with the length of the roller coaster. And, you're going to fast that there isn't really the opportunity to show much, as it has to be pretty big to even be noticeable.
I think they try too hard to make it modern and up-to-date instead of timeless, so when they try too hard a lot of jokes and references just kind of fall flat.
And, on top of the sadness that is the loss of Muppet Vision, there's also the loss of Mama Melrose -- one of the best places for someone needing a gluten free menu
Just one slight correction. MuppetVision isn’t being replaced for the Door coaster, that’s going in the parking lot. MuppetVision is being replaced by some unannounced “new Monsters Inc. Show.”
I thought it was a no brainer that they could've expanded the Muppets are out for a new ride next to MuppetVision. Well, their doing that, but not with the Muppets. I'm still optimistic with the possibility it could be a move to the Sunset theater instead of a permanent closure but I'm not sure it would have all the bells and whistles as the current show. When they added Mickey's Philharmagic to DCA, it paled to the one in MK because the theater wasn't built for the large-scale screen that show was made for. I'm afraid that moving the show would lead to a similar situation but supposes it would be better than not having it at all.
If they are going to build a new muppet show I hope they take a good look at all the new possibilities like the dance macabre theater were all the seats turn
Yes would love them to place Muppet vision next to rock n roller coaster make it a new mini-land. While they’re at it they can retheme the muppet vision theatre to Monsters Inc laugh floor and then Tomorrowland can receive a make over with a replacement for laugh floor as well as (finally) a replacement for stitches great escape
Imagine if Disney had ever built a Texas resort and then built a park and it was about Disney nostalgia. And in that park they built museums and galleries including memorabilia and pieces of defunct attractions, restaurants, shows...etc. But additionally they chose to preserve (or even recreate) some of the most beloved attractions. Yes, it wouldn't be immersive. But it could tell the story of Disney in a really compelling way. I know they wouldn't preserve EVERY attraction. But there would be a place to experience The Great Movie Ride, Maelstrom, Horizons, World of Motion, the Honey I Shrunk the Kids: Movie Set Adventure, Body Wars, Cranium Command, America Sings, ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter, 20,000 Leagues under the Sea or the Original Submarine Voyage, original Country Bear Jamboree, Captain EO, the original Journey into Imagination, Flying Saucers, Studio Backlot Tour, Adventure thru Inner Space....etc. And they could have a rotating line up of beloved stage shows that have ended that would run for a year or two and then be cycled through. This would be prefect for Muppet Vision.
I agree they should take over the theatre close to RRC. Or could they upgrade the theatre seats to DBox ones (like in theatres), add some additional fans or sprinklers to turn Muppet 3D into 4D?
The theatre in california adventure that now houses philharmagic was designed for muppet vision and featured it for over a decade. It would be quite easy to put it back in.
Had a Christmas party a few days ago, broke out in tears when I was gifted an Electric Mayhem vinyl because all I could think of was Muppets Courtyard dying.
I LOVE your idea of where to move Muppet Vision 3D and I also would love to see Disney bring back the Muppet Show like they did about 10 years ago. Dave Grohl and Animal having a drum off was AWESOME! 😃
Muppetvision 3D 2-combine the best aspects of Muppetvision 3D with the Philharmagic effects. I do like the idea of taking over the Villains show after the Villains land opens. Also, I do love the Magic Candle company so many great scents.
The Swedish Chef Animatronic is probably my favorite one in all of the Disney Parks, partly for thr fact that he just straight up has a gun. My favorite animatronic of all time is Magdol in ET.
Sad to see Muppet Vision go. I'm thinking the "the next act" is probably just a reference to the new Muppets Rock 'n' Roller Coaster ride. Guess we'll find out someday!
I hope it gets relocated to a different show building and it would be really nice to have a way to experience it in VR without having to go to the parks. And having it in VR would give a digital archive of the show and pre-show
Personally, if they don't bring over Muppet Vision 3d to the sunset threather, I propose two other Muppet alternatives: 1) An actual, interactive, live Muppet show with puppets and animatronics 2) Build the unrealized Great Muppet movie ride(two birds, one stone)
Muppet tower of Terror, and yes Muppets 4D in that theater! Along with a new Muppets themed quick service restaurant all in that corner of Hollywood Studios.
love your idea of muppetvision to another park. i noticed you forgot to mention that it used to be in california adventure a long time ago! that theater is just filled with nothing all the time why couldnt they just bring the muppets back there 😢😢
There is another option. They could produce a miniature Muppet Theater that plays Muppet*Vision that could be sold... similar to the Star Tours starspeeder 3000 that they released at D23. That way, everyone can take home the show.
I seem to miss my opportunities. Missed the closure of Haunted Mansion CA and showed up without being able to ride the ride. Havent been to Muppet Vision and FL since 2015. I want a minipark that has the lost rides of my youth.
I know this is going to be a controversial opinion but I think Hollywood Land is one of the worst lands at the Disney parks and sure Monsters Inc. and Disney Animation are the best but ever since that got rid of Muppet Vision 3-D it all went downhill from their and Disney never confirmed why they closed DCA's Muppet Vision 3-D they did that just to make fans angry so I think what Disney should do is for Disney California Adventure's 25th anniversary they should bring back Muppet Vision 3-D because it would bring more Attendance to the park and the reason why I say that is that Mickey's Philharmagic is a great attraction at the other Disney parks but DCA's version is cheaply done and it's not really that popular there from what I've seen from videos also the other reason why I hate it is that there's like 3 things abandoned there 1. Stage 17 were Who Wants to be a Millionaire Play It, Olaf's Snow Fest, and Avengers Campus store used to be. 2. Stage 12 were the Hollywood & Dine and the Flynn's Arcade for the Tron Lifecycle event used to be 3. The Hyperion Theatre were Aladdin, Frozen, and Roger the Musical used to be
As much as the theatre takeover is a no brainier I doubt it’ll happen. I get the feeling that Disney don’t LIKE the Muppets the way we do. They seem to only use them out of obligation, ease or appeasement. They turn up at events because it’s easy to throw them into any situation, they give us a Rockin rollercoaster retheme as an easy retheme to appease fans mad about Muppetvision. We’ll have to wait and see how much effort they bother putting in to it. Animatronics, puppets, anything practical? Or just screens? I certainly feel like Disney would like us to just forget about the muppets and wouldn’t bother with the mayhem coaster if they didn’t feel they had to. In that same vein I think they’ll look at Rockin rollercoaster and think ‘job done, fans have their obligatory muppets representation’ and call it a day. No restaurant, no show, nothing more they need to do if they can do the bare minimum. In a perfect world I’d advocate for muppetvision taking over that show building, and even expand backwards, take over animation courtyard. Convert that area into the Muppet studios we’ve always wanted. A Swedish chef restaurant, a new Muppet gift shop. And most importantly, the Great Muppet movie ride in homage to the much missed real great movie ride.
Yea I wish DLR Splash mountain could have been preserved too, but least Tokyo’s ver is thriving. Tiana just doesn’t feel the same. I never seen Muppets Vision so my condolences 💐.
Muppets Vision should come to DCA and replace Monsters Inc and that weird merchandise store next to it. That would be a per fe t place for Muppets. As far as Muppets Rockin Roller Coaster….big fat NO !!
Monsters inc land will also have a theater that directly replaces muppet 3d theater. Door coaster will actually be built behind or besides the Monsters inc/former muppet theater
If I were them I would always expand instead of replacing classic rides… no matter how good the new thing could be… I mean… there’s tons of old stuff at the parks that don’t even do anything like the animation courtyard or the soundstage where the frozen sing along is (they can do that literally anywhere else 🤷🏻)… Epcot has soooo many places they could use… and the technology theme could make it fit right in, could make some jokes hit even funnier at a place that should represent “the future” 😂 And I agree kids can’t even ride RNR coaster… making it a muppet ride is ridiculous.
They are being shortsighted by creating what they see as a crowd draw. What I think even Walt would agree on is that there needs to be longstanding generational rides that parents can’t tell their children was their favorite ride as a kid. They are in a cycle of just recycling areas for a boost in attendance and then just move on. It’s not honoring anything. I’m sure they think taking advantage of muppets IP to replace a ride that already needed retheme is honoring muppets but I think most of us know better.
Re: new 4D show- how many drawing board ideas get mostly through development then cut? What if (what if) Henson Co. restores and enhances with material that can now be realized? (Criminy! I reek or irrational hope.)
I don't see why they feel the need to do an entire land for Monsters Inc. The first one was good, I've never seen the second one, but I've just never seen it as the type of movie that you can really base an entire world around like you would for Star Wars or Toy Story. MuppetVision could ever move next to Rock'n Roller Coaster or possibly into the Magic Eye Theatre at Epcot and be neighbors to Figment.
who knows these days only time will tell us what will happen to it Offhand Disney it will take sometime to see what will happen to the places also happy holidays
To me... neither of these historic attractions should be demolished (Rivers of America and Muppetvision 3D) but I may be biased as Cars is my least favorite Pixar franchise and I won't be able to enjoy Monstropolis as a physically disabled woman who cannot ride anything more thrilling than Frozen Ever After
@@gr33ngirlsea When I was younger (My first trip was when I was 3 months old in 1997) I felt like I could do so much more in each park, now it seems like they don't want to open dark rides or new shows, so my family can go do the attractions but I'm stuck just waiting, the worst for me is Hollywood Studios back in the day I could do everything except for 3 attractions, now I can only go on 3 attractions and they're removing my favorite show, I wish they would have something I could go on in Galaxy's Edge, I'm a huge Star Wars fan and all I can do there is shop

@@SmallSpoonBrigade Electric Mayhem. And yes. The props will be big just like the ones they have now lol
Nope, I’m still pissed off. Disney doesn’t know what they’re doing with the IP. They don’t. Period
Cry about it lmao
I think they try too hard to make it modern and up-to-date instead of timeless, so when they try too hard a lot of jokes and references just kind of fall flat.
old man yells at cloud
@@flyingkatyaold muppet show isn’t timeless, they have many references that fall flat today. The muppet movies are timeless though.
We NEED a Muppets Great Movie Ride. Been waiting for that since Muppets were first announced for Disney/MGM Studios (sigh)
We all need the Muppets. They need to put someone in charge of the IP who understands the Muppets. ❤
The Hyperion Theater in DCA is empty and collecting cob webs. Just sayin…
And, on top of the sadness that is the loss of Muppet Vision, there's also the loss of Mama Melrose -- one of the best places for someone needing a gluten free menu
i truly hope that they do move the attraction somewhere else rather than lazily slap it on disney+ 🙏
I want Muppet Vision back at DCA!
Me too
Just one slight correction.
"maybe there's a muppet fan who's scared of coasters" hi hello it's me.
If they are going to build a new muppet show I hope they take a good look at all the new possibilities like the dance macabre theater were all the seats turn
Your idea is what I commented here when we first heard this. I sure hope they do this. Everyone would he happy, its a win/win.
Your channel is a gem. So wholesome, so funny, so authentic.
I LOVE your idea of where to move Muppet Vision 3D and I also would love to see Disney bring back the Muppet Show like they did about 10 years ago. Dave Grohl and Animal having a drum off was AWESOME! 😃
The Rivers of America thing is just grating.
Muppets at Disney and now Sesame Street. It's a frightening time.
I guess Disney likes “the Mayhem Band”!
And the new muppet’s show guest Disney TH-cam Celebrity’s!
They could literally just use the old Muppetvision theater in DCA. I'll bet the audio animatronics are still sitting there in the box seats.
Hate to mention this…
Last muppets special: “Muppets Haunted Mansion”
Say hello to the Hatbox Gonzo
Id argue that splash mountain did have a passionate fanbase but Disney didnt really care.
Is the theater still abandoned where they used to show Captain EO in EPCOT?
I think the Henson Company may open a Muppet Vision exhibit in their museum, which would have a section that would play the show
Sad to see Muppet Vision go. I'm thinking the "the next act" is probably just a reference to the new Muppets Rock 'n' Roller Coaster ride. Guess we'll find out someday!
I hope it gets relocated to a different show building and it would be really nice to have a way to experience it in VR without having to go to the parks. And having it in VR would give a digital archive of the show and pre-show
Personally, if they don't bring over Muppet Vision 3d to the sunset threather, I propose two other Muppet alternatives:
1) An actual, interactive, live Muppet show with puppets and animatronics
2) Build the unrealized Great Muppet movie ride(two birds, one stone)
Muppet tower of Terror, and yes Muppets 4D in that theater! Along with a new Muppets themed quick service restaurant all in that corner of Hollywood Studios.
That and holiday overlays for Halloween, Christmas and July 4th!
How fitting that I got a Tiana's Bayou Adventure ad before I watched this. Really says a lot about Disney as of late.
love your idea of muppetvision to another park. i noticed you forgot to mention that it used to be in california adventure a long time ago! that theater is just filled with nothing all the time why couldnt they just bring the muppets back there 😢😢
There's a perfectly good Muppet Theater in California Adventure. Just saying.
Muppets should take over Hall of Presidents and they could bring back that outside Muppets show in Liberty Square.
I know this is going to be a controversial opinion but I think Hollywood Land is one of the worst lands at the Disney parks and sure Monsters Inc. and Disney Animation are the best but ever since that got rid of Muppet Vision 3-D it all went downhill from their and Disney never confirmed why they closed DCA's Muppet Vision 3-D they did that just to make fans angry so I think what Disney should do is for Disney California Adventure's 25th anniversary they should bring back Muppet Vision 3-D because it would bring more Attendance to the park and the reason why I say that is that Mickey's Philharmagic is a great attraction at the other Disney parks but DCA's version is cheaply done and it's not really that popular there from what I've seen from videos also the other reason why I hate it is that there's like 3 things abandoned there
1. Stage 17 were Who Wants to be a Millionaire Play It, Olaf's Snow Fest, and Avengers Campus store used to be.
2. Stage 12 were the Hollywood & Dine and the Flynn's Arcade for the Tron Lifecycle event used to be
3. The Hyperion Theatre were Aladdin, Frozen, and Roger the Musical used to be
It sounds like they're thinking of moving the muppets area to that end of the park instead, with the coaster retheme and all 🤷♀️
As much as the theatre takeover is a no brainier I doubt it’ll happen.
11:30 where is those clips from? from?
Merry Christmas muppets 🫡
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure does not respect, honor, or improve upon what came before.
With the animitronics, isn't Muppet Vision 3D technically already 4D?
I don’t think animatronics are beyond our dimension yet
I can see muppet vision 3D replacing Disney and Pixar short film festival in Epcot
If I were them I would always expand instead of replacing classic rides… no matter how good the new thing could be… I mean… there’s tons of old stuff at the parks that don’t even do anything like the animation courtyard or the soundstage where the frozen sing along is (they can do that literally anywhere else 🤷🏻)… Epcot has soooo many places they could use… and the technology theme could make it fit right in, could make some jokes hit even funnier at a place that should represent “the future” 😂
And I agree kids can’t even ride RNR coaster… making it a muppet ride is ridiculous.
Love the Muppet Vision episodes
on my last trip i took the glasses from muppet vision 3d to keep for some reason.😂
They need to bring the Muppets back to DCA. There are plenty of areas in the Hollywood space that desperately need a good draw.
Bluey is coming to HS for all the family ride needs soon enough
Muppet Vision 4-D would be great
They are being shortsighted by creating what they see as a crowd draw.
Just so yk the monsters inc land will have a theater show where Muppet vision, the coaster is goijng to be built on what is currently a parking lot!
Re: new 4D show- how many drawing board ideas get mostly through development then cut? What if (what if) Henson Co. restores and enhances with material that can now be realized? (Criminy! I reek or irrational hope.)
Commenting because it makes you money and I love this channel
I like making the theatre nearesr the RRC being turned into a MuppetVision 3D with a new 4D movie too.
The shudder after saying the RoA are being replaced by a Cars themed expansion to Frontierland lol
I’m not ok with this thing closing. Very excited about the Rock N Rollercoaster! But MV3D shouldn’t be an option to close.
Not sure if you've heard people making fun of the name but it was NOT D23 Expo...😂😂
How about putting the Muppets in Epcot’s Play Pavilion.
I enjoyed the second one. Kind of a kid friendly version of college movies like Revenge of the Nerds.
It will be on Apple Vision Pro as a vr experience
Clearly going to replace the people mover on the west coast
I don’t do coasters. I hope they repurpose muppetvision somewhere else in the park.
Can we move the Rizzo fountain too?
who knows these days only time will tell us what will happen to it Offhand Disney it will take sometime to see what will happen to the places also happy holidays
Rocking roller coaster themed to electric mayhem will be incredible
To me... neither of these historic attractions should be demolished (Rivers of America and Muppetvision 3D) but I may be biased as Cars is my least favorite Pixar franchise and I won't be able to enjoy Monstropolis as a physically disabled woman who cannot ride anything more thrilling than Frozen Ever After
Disney really is terrible at accessibility on their rides. It's awful.
Monster inc land will also have a theater show
My disappointment is palpable. I adore the Muppets and Muppet Vision.
I like Muppet Christmas Carol.
Put it on one of the cruise ships.
Tower of Terror could be changed to Muppets.
Is tthe space available to put it in the Voyage to the Little Mermaid theater?
They’re already putting a new little mermaid show there next year so that won’t happen unfortunately. Otherwise that could’ve been possible
