    Nice job! I love how you show us your actual long arm experience start to finish with this project. Thank you!

    Beautiful! I am intrigued by longarm machines - but think I will let the experts do anything big.

    It’s fascinating to me to watch how the long arm works.

    That was fun to watch! I use yard sticks under my side clamps from bar to bar. It helps lift them up so the machine doesn’t hit them, and you don’t have to lift them manually.

      That's a great idea! I’m researching now all the different hacks for dealing with that issue

    Thank you so much, I'm so glad you're not going to fast, b/c I've watched another quilter but she goes so fast & doesn't explain what's going on.

    This video was great. So interesting. I have a Handi Quilter Sweet 16 sit down model. It is great.
    I really enjoyed watching you quilt this piece. Thank you.

    I enjoyed watching you. I have a Moxie but not the Pro Stitcher (hopefully next year). I just bought the board for ruler work and wheels for the frame so I can move it around a bit. I mostly quilt swirls because they're easy. I really need to practice other designs. It is fun and very satisfying to make a whole quilt start to finish 😊❤🎉

      There are a lot of good videos on TH-cam for FMQ on the longarm. I can’t get the hang of it.

    Try the standard curtain rods for the aid in keeping the fabric clamps from dragging! Looking good in the LA

    Good job on your quilting! It’s so enjoyable to see and learn. I don’t have a long arm and I only quilt on my sewing machine. Maybe one day will be grave enough to try renting one at the local quilt shop. Thanks for sharing

      The Moxie is pretty affordable and there’s always financing available.

    Looks great. So pretty. As quilters, don’t we too often point out our mistakes that most people won’t notice?

    • @lessonslearnt5966

      Probably. But since I’m sort of helping people learn from my mistakes, I’m okay with it.

    Will you please make a tutorial on how to float a quilt on your frame. I have same set up as yours but I’m not sure if I’m floating my quilt correctly. I’m asking cuz u explain so well and at a speed that I can keep up with you

  • @SuzetteSeal

    Did u know there’s a built in magnet to the left of the machine screen for your scissors?
    I have same setup as yours and it’s in my dining room attached to living room 😊
    I hope you do more detailed tutorials on the PSL. I’m a computer dummy and you explain step by step for my brain to catch on.

    • @lessonslearnt5966

      I did NOT know that! 😅 yes,I would like to make more videos on the long arm and PSL in the future.

    Thank you for showing us how to longarm quilt. I was planning to get a Handi Quilter with Pro Stitcher Lite. Does the machine continue back across right to left? I know the Grace machines sew back to the left.

    • @lessonslearnt5966

      It’s not typically designed for that, but I do know it WILL do it because I accidentally had it happen very early in the learning process. No idea how I did it 🫣

    Do you have to leave your ruler base on all the time? My machine I can take it off and quilt more area.

    • @lessonslearnt5966

      I’ve asked that question and the consensus is that most leave it on. I feel like with free motion (which I don’t do) it would be better to have it off.

  • @tanglezest7601

    What a lovely little quilt! You make it look easy. Was it really that easy? I mean, did you have to study manual for hours first? There must be a catch somewhere.......

    • @lessonslearnt5966

      If you can get past the first couple of quilts. The learning curve is steep. I relied solely on TH-cam videos. Not ideal, but flying to Handi Quilter in Utah was not an option. I have more to learn, lots more, but I can get by for now.

    ❤I think you just saved my day, I have been trying to set the frame all day on my PS lite and not working. The you said you were setting the frame point on top ad then the bottom right corner, and selecting frame, not 2 point? Is that correct? And then when I select the area, I use the select 2 point?😅Cathy

    • @lessonslearnt5966

      Correct! The Frame Space is the largest area possible you can stitch in (think of it as a protective fence that you can’t move out of). The 2 Corner is the area of the actual design that will be stitched.

    Seems like a small bobbin. Does it have to be changed often during the quilting?

    • @lessonslearnt5966

      Sometimes if the quilting is dense, you may change several times. They can put man on the moon, but can’t make a bobbin large enough to get through a quilt. 🤷🏼‍♀️

    Surprised you didn’t pin the backing on….floated all layers?

    • @lessonslearnt5966

      I did a little bit later. It was a step I missed 🤦🏼‍♀️ you can’t really float the backing - lesson learnt 😄
