There's a comment like this on every single Mercedes F1 video. No F1 team is going to look at this video, it's pointless. The things they explain are so simple that any engineer could understand it just by taking one good look at the car. Notice how they didn't show the rear of the car? Or that they never went into detail about *how* they're upgrades work? If they did, then they would be exposing their secrets.

@@Zak-ob5ze Ferrari were accused of running more fuel flow than everyone by a longshot thus why they were so fast on the straights
in terms of engine development, mercedes have been dominating since the start of the new turbo era with split turbine/compressor, pre-chamber ignition, multi-spark ignition, air-water intercooler & etc. the engine on testing dyno even managed to reach 50% thermal efficiency which is unheard of for automobile ICE petrol engine.

Given the sudden dip in straight line speed after the allegations, I'd be inclined to believe that they were breaking the rules, but no proof means no team could copy them if they wanted to. Not to mention, it would be monumentally stupid to copy a system that was already deemed illegal. It sounds to me like you're just a butthurt Ferrari fanboy who doesn't want to accept that another team is better than them

The Mercedes W11 is the crown jewel of Formula 1 engineering. James Allison and the Mercedes engineers should be very proud of what they have accomplished. I have no doubt that they will continue to push forward and find massive success on the grid for years to come.

Im pretty sure Ferrari will have it by Spain.. There are already simple animations of how it could be done... I think its possible to make it even for the opening round in Australia or Bahrain at least but its Ferrari, they will take a few races until they decide to invest in it....or it may even be a new tactic from Mercedes to lure Ferrari to invest in something that wont really bring anything :D
@@MisoElEven The mechanism itself was never the difficult part, its how you integrate it into a car which is as tight as an F1 car. Those animations are cool for people who want to understand the way it works but they don't show how it actually fits inside the car.

Arya Rajmane We have to wait and see. You may be right. I would think Mercedes wants to win this Championship as this would equal Hamilton to Schumacher. I really hope RedBull can challenge Mercedes. If it is a close fight you have to keep improving the car. But all teams will have to work on the 2021 car too. Hoping for a nice season!

I don't think transferring the livery from silver to black would've made a big difference performance wise, but it was nice seeing a Mercedes Formula 1 car in black. But they only switched to a black livery to support the BLM trend.

I was a Ferrari fan for many years but the last 3 years a Merc fan. Not because of the drivers but because Mercedes are so open and honest and I love all their TH-cam material. Love how open they are and how honest they are when they mess up and make mistakes. Love this team!!!

Honestly, there will be many who hate on Mercedes for being unbeatable. But all you can really do is take your hat off to these guys and girls and just marvel at what this unbelievable team are achieving at this moment in time. We need to realise we are witnessing greatness.

DAS will take development time away from Ferrari, Red Bull and others whilst also taking their eyes away other developments Merc have made. Awesome job guys.
inb4, DAS actually does only little things, while other teams trying to spend resources to develop it only to find almost nothing......
