    What a beautiful ship. Thanks for a great tour. Man, when I see spaces that clean - ESPECIALLY in engineering - I know there is a lot of pride in that crew! I could watch this stuff all day long! :)

    Thank you for the tour. There’s something very peaceful and secure about an engine room. I could sleep like a baby there. 👍

      you might reconsider your wish after spending a night there in tropical waters, when the E/R temp. is at 45°C 😅

    Very clean, and I am sure very safe too.
    It's nice to see a ship that's run properly and staffed by profesionals.

    ¡Bien!. Se nota que estan bien mantenidas y cuidadas esas maquinas. Limpieza y buen orden es de lo mas importante si quieres ir libre de problemas. El ruido que acompaña todo el rato te hace parecer estar por alli también. Gracias por compartir.

    Love the colour scheme, beige, light blue, brick red. I am tired of seeing green and white engine room. Engine room is so clean it's almost like hospital.

    Amazing design; the complexity is bewildering. Who designed this system? Who assembled it? Who maintains it? They are geniuses! They deserve all respect and high salaries.
    It was nice to see the wonderful sunset from the main deck! Thank you!

    That is an engineering space the chief engineer can be proud of. Everything clean and squared away.

    Wow that’s a spotless engine room. The chief clearly takes pride in his work and his ship. Or, it’s a brand new ship on maiden trip? Lol

    • @Former_Highseasengineer
      @Former_Highseasengineer  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Between the Chief, myself (1st assistant engineer), and the awesome engine crew we had, we ran a tight ship downstairs. When I made this video the ship was 3 years old so relatively new. Over the years, we often received compliments from inspectors about how clean and well kept our engine room was.

      @@Former_Highseasengineer I’m not a mariner myself but back in 2000 I spent two weeks on a 700 ft cargo ship on the great lakes rebuilding a generator engine ( I’m a Cat dealership mechanic ) job started in dry dock but ship had to sail so I went along for the ride. Was a great experience and I remember how clean and organized it was. Everything was so nice if you made a mess you had no choice but to clean up because it stood out if you didn’t. Lol. I love a workspace like that.
      Ship was called Canadian transfer, owned by CSL. I’m sure it’s still sailing the great lakes today. :)

    so the turbocharger has no air inlet ducting?
    just looks like it has that big cover over the compressor with a pre filter?

    • @Former_Highseasengineer
      @Former_Highseasengineer  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes. The turbocharger inlet takes in ambient engine room air. There are supply and exhaust fans that keep air cycling into the engine room.

      @@Former_Highseasengineer many thanks for your prompt reply, kangrim boiler as a same as your inert gas generator. It appears to be a south Korean build, had worked on on board one of those. Many thanks again.
