I have a 2020 Python and a 2021 Anaconda......absolutely love those revolvers.
Both great guns
I want one. I was hoping they would come back out with the blued version finally
I should have the blued model in a couple of weeks
Gentlemen it is indeed a pleasure to watch you actually run a Revolver in the proper way. It’s art and music!
Glad you liked it!! Thanks for watching!!
I hope Wilson Combat makes a run of customized blued new Pythons. Grips, action job, sights and out the door.
Well, Colt just released the Blued Python at SHOT Show and a matte Stainless version, I will have it for review here very soon!!
Yamil, te felicito! Tremendo invitado!
Gracias
I wanted a 6” flamey blue Python and bought a new one in the early 90’s.
It went out of timing in double action within 500 rounds of new.
Dumped it immediately and never looked back.
As they say, you want a revolver, buy a Smith & Wesson…..
This new one will NOT go out of timing like the old ones did!!
Pick mine up next week can hardly wait . Maryland makes you wait seven days cooling off period doesn't matter you have the HQL and pass the fbi check .
The 2nd amendment mentions having to get government approval. Oh, wait a minute…..
That sucks!! Sorry about that😢
In OH I go to the store and go home with the gun 15 mins later.
@@norseman5041 Same in AZ, if you have a CCW, No NICS CK
I purchased my first Python I'd say in September 2023. A 3 inch stainless and so I decided to go with Wilson combat gold front and combat rear sights , also from Altamont grips a set of Super Rosewood with snake scale checkering and rampant Colt inlays makes for a more impressive looking Python . Beautiful it is !
Nice setup!! The Wilson Sight Set is a must, When I get the new Blued Python, the Wilson U Notch Rear and the Gold front is going in!!
@@yrsued I think it was Wilson said the rear sight was not seated well and recommending the rear sight at least be replaced but I couldn't pass up the gold bead.
@@waynecastleman1363 Well, most of the complaints about the rear sights is the windage adjustment requires loosing a set screw and a lot of folks don't like it. It didn't bother me, but when I used the Wilson, I wouldn't go back. I love the Gold Bead.
Great video and great information. Mr. Hackathron has fantastic experience and information thanks for sharing.
Ken is a superb source of firearms knowledge!!
Colt knows the secret to revolver accuracy. S&W can be accurate but they can vary, Ruger can be accurate but they can vary. Freedom Arms is known for being accurate, maybe on the average they can beat Colt but it will be very close. No other production gun can challenge the Colt for accuracy.
Colts are Colts, Their revolvers are the best out there!!
Hope your kidding about Freedom Arms vs. Colt. I own both and numerous examples. There's nothing I've come across with the accuracy and tight lockup of an Freedom Arms in the revolver world and I've had also custom Ruger single actions. Freedom Arms is on an level Colt doesn't exist in.
@@aaronwilcox6417 I was talking about accuracy, not tight lockup. I've seen Freedom Arms revolvers that were not accurate at all. I've seen Colt single actions that were not accurate. But I've not seen a Python that was not accurate.
@@aaronwilcox6417 That is comparing apples to Oranges, two different firearms!!
@@billj5645 There is always a Lemmon in every brand, but I would never compare a new Python to a Custom Made Freedom Arms SA revolver, two completely different firearms.
Probably the angle, but at 5:35 it looks like his thumb is extending past the cylinder.
A normal Human Thumb wouldn't get past the Gap, but with ,38's, not a huge deal!
Pretty sure my thumbs are normal lol. I try to maintain the same thumbs forward grip across all platforms for consistency and the little Airweight J Frame is the only one that presents an issue. That’s 38s only though. Problem solved.
@@steveo85 The ONLY revolver I encountered an "ISSUE" with was the Chiappa Rhino shooting .357... I felt that. I think I still have a photo of my thumb the day after I shot the gun. Other guns, I think I'm safe using the Thumbs forward grip!!
@@yrsued Thanks! No Rhinos in my future. Blew the budget on a 6” Anaconda yesterday and couldn’t be happier. Thanks for your content!
Why aren't aspects of gun building standardized?? E.g. how a cyclder is released by pushing the lever FWD?? Pulling back or pushing a lever FWD on back of the gun are counterintuitive. And will trip up the shooter if he or she has a mix of revolver 'types". Likewise the pistols who have "flip UP safeties" e.g. Walther PPK and Beretta 92's (most)....in the heat of battle will it feel more natural to push the lever FWD or back?? Hmmm....
"accurate guns"---why so so many continue to describe some guns as "...being accurate"?? As if hte gun itself is making the shot start to finish ...and the shooter is only "holding up the gun" :) Don't think A"gun tech" is that advanced yet. :)) What better "fit" guns do is "SLLOW US ...if we have a deent grasp of shooting basics...to make MORE accurate shots"....It's not the gun that makes the shot accurate e.g. the famous (should be) scene in The QUiick And The Dead (Russel Crowe, Gene Hackman, Sharon stone....DeCaprio)...where Hackman's character buys Crowe 's character a gun for the showdowns....DeCaprio 's character pulls out an expensive gun wanting to make money/owns shop but Hackman's character buys the cheapest gun in the shop...and ...only gives Crowe's character 1 bullet" on the day of the gunfight.....clasic scene11 :) Says so much about what really makes for a "good shot". Applies to guns of today too...
Ya, been hearing about standardizing for the past 4 decades, and the firearm selection was a whole lot smaller back then
About accuracy, we test on Ransom Rests and ya, there are firearms that are a whole lot less accurate and some are more accurate, but ya, the shooter does make a difference and affects accuracy.
This is bs. It's not 4 days old. It's 4 years old.
This is a RE Upload off the 12/31/2019 Video, you can see this video here, we uploaded it again so folks that didn't catch it the first time would do it now, 500+ people have seen it now, the first time around it had over 180K views.
