- Hello,
Here is my first update to my ADF series. I started alternate day fasting in March 2024 and this is my follow up video to give you some updates on what went well, what went wrong and what I need to change. I also showed some progress pictures. I will be doing a monthly update on my ADF/weight loss journey - so keep a lookout for these updates and let me know if there is anything you would like to see!
Here is the link to my first ADF video, explaining what I do and why I do it • GRWM while we talk abo...

That dog fluff on my hair is driving me nuts!!! I didn't even notice it the whole time I was editing this video. 😫 send help
I've started doing ADF this week, and today is my fast day. I'm a dude, 5'6 and currently weigh 199 pounds so I'm excited to see the progress I will have made a month from now. The fasting days can be pretty tough but I am determined consume 0 calories and I usually feel fine by the end of the fasting day. Also, surprisingly the next day I don't feel hungry when I wake up either but I do still eat. :D I wish you the best of luck with the journey. :)
Hey, that's so awesome!! You'll have to check back in and let me know your progress! I need to get back on the 0 calories bandwagon, I've been slacking with the little heavy cream and gum. Good luck to you too! 🥰
I started at 199.0 i am currently at 178.4 🎉 👏🏾 you got this my friend !!
I am doing ADF too! Looking forward to see your journey.
Keep up the good work!!
Keep it up! Love your videos
Thank you, Mom!!
Keep up the great work Cy!
Thank you, Turdy! After Shady Maple I fasted til Kelvin got here lol
I love these updates! Please keep sharing more :) I'm still working up the courage to start
There's no better day than today! Maybe do a bone broth fast first and work your way up?
Great update! Just starting ADF and finding your content helpful🎉
That's awesome! How has it been for you so far? :)
I love thé ADF content, im starting again today after I stopped for 4 months
Curious why you stopped? And good luck! It is nice to know that you can just stop and pick it right back up ☺
@@cyrakirsten tbh I was in university at the time and it was really hard to avoid eating around friends, also the on campus food was really hard to track. Those are all excuses obviously but it just got hard to keep up with people thinking you got an eating disorder cause you don't want to eat with them. Next year I'll be living off campus with my own kitchen so I can't wait to cook for myself and be able to cook.
@@iclandiccubicle2798 those are very valid and practical reasons. Quite honestly, I don't think I would've been able to do ADF in school. It's very difficult to socially integrate and not a lot of people understand it - or are willing to understand it because it is something they would never do. That's exciting living off campus next year! I hope you have a lot of fun! Enjoy uni - it's literally the best! Wish I could go back!!! Adulting sucks lol 😭
Good luck on your journey new subbie here for adf
New subbie!
I have been doing IF 18/6 for a year now. Have lost 30lb so far but have been stuck now for a few weeks. Started ADF on Monday of this week so on day 3 fast today. Hoping when I weigh on Monday coming I will have lost some weight. Fingers crossed 😊
You so got this!!! 30 lbs is awesome!! Congratulations, that is no easy feat. How much more are you looking to lose?
@@cyrakirstenNeed another 30lb off. Weight moving again so that's good. IF has been a God send for me. Thank you for your encouragement 😊
Cyra has the best scrubs
🤣
I would suggest you switch to OMAD on the feasting day if you see yourself have plateaued or didn't lose any weight
Great video! Just wondering if on Fridays you just do OMAD (one meal a day).
Hi Sharon - on Fridays when I eat sometimes I do OMAD, but not really all the time. Most of the time I will eat lunch at work and have something light in the evening with family. Or I will just have dinner with my partner and no lunch. Thank you for your kind words!
Huge difference between those 2 photos
I'm glad you see it because I feel like I've been progress blind recently!
Do you have trouble sleeping while doing adf? Tried it but couldn’t sleep. Took ashwaghanda and magnesium to see if that would help because it does on feast days but for some reason I just can’t sleep while fasting.
I thankfully don't. Or not out of my norm at least. I've always had sleep issues though - mostly anxiety of being late. But so far none that I've noticed from fasting. Do you limit caffeine intake on fast days?
❤
