I find it hilarious that, for all of the Tom Clancy style shenanigans Zzinj pulls in the X-Wing books, what topples his Empire is Han being so malded by the Hapens that he wins a planet in a card game.
Then again, didn't certain villains in the Clancyverse fall because of unthinkable acts, like the Rainbow Six bioterrorists being curbstomped by way of an information leak from some Russian former intelligence officer they hired?

And a sub gets screwed up by badly lashed wood on a cargoship at one point in another story. (Maybe hunt but I think it might have been Sum of all Fears?)

well... to be fair the books were written by different authors (Aaron Allston wrote the three X-wing books featuring him), and Courtship of Princess Leia actually came out before even the very first X-wing novel.
One of correction on an otherwise exceptional video. Han only thought he'd blown up Iron Fist, he was aware Zsinj had survived as Zsinj personally called him and cursed him out in over sixty languages from his personal shuttle.
Even when faking the loss of Iron Fist, Zsinj definitely did not want the galaxy thinking he was dead-dead, or his empire would fall apart declaring loyalty to whoever was closest.

Zsinj is a great character despite being an amoral selfish basted and a very typical imperial, he is basically a poor man's Thrawn. He specializes in using asymmetrical warfare and political maneuvering, and underworld criminals connections to fight his enemies and maintain control over his vast holdings. He did all this threw a combination of exploting the collapse of imperial authority, pitting his the NR and the collapsing Empire against each other, feigning loyalty to the imperial ruling all the while setting up his own power base in the mean time, and coopting minor warlords in his camp. He also became the biggest drug(spice) lord in the galaxy in order to fund his Empire and used special forces to as well as the simple threat of force from his fleet to keep a vast section of the galaxy under his control despite having little to no military presence in much of his terrority. For such a great number of achievements, he is rather underrated when comes to Star wars villains.
The underdog who is forced to use unorthodox tactics to stay in the game is always a cool concept especially when applied to what is supposed to be the villain
It's kinda funny watching these videos, as someone who's pretty ignorant to more Legends lore. I know big stuff, but hearing smaller details in these videos tends to leave me going "oh, I know that from Thrawn's Revenge!" more than anything.
We Need an Clone Wars Style Animated Series based on the after battle of endor we could have multiple perspectives like One of Imperial Side One of the rebels and one maybe on the main character like Leia travelling to a Planet to join the New Republic and another episode on the Imperial Council going to war with each other for the Emperor's throne Warlords ❤
Well something to remember is the context and reasons. 1: Razors Kiss was still not completely finished, nor crewed. This meant it could not defend itself properly nor run any damage control. 2: Sabotage brought down all the shields of Razors Kiss and half the shields of Iron Fist, which meant a single lucky shot may hit a bridge(as did happen to Razors Kiss) greatly raising the possibility the Warlord himself could be killed. 3: Zsinj had to divert his fighters and shield strength to try and protect Razors Kiss so he could not capitalize on his advantage in firepower or maneuver. 4: Zsinj was also unnerved that Solo ambushed him and his doctrine stipulates NOT fighting on an enemy's chosen battleground because it gives the enemy the advantage. 5: Zsinj's main objective was to get away, not to fight a battle he was unprepared for and hampered by the above reasons.
@@empirednw6624to be honest though, that was kind of what happened with dreadnoughts in real life, as well as the Bismarck's sister ship tirpitz, Yamato, Musashi (Tirpitz ended up stuck in a fjord most of the war until it was sank, Yamato and Musashi were turned back by a force of destroyer escorts and escort carriers with their planes), and even the Bismarck suddenly stopped performing after it destroyed the HMS hood and inflicted few if any casualties when it made its final stand.

Between the crazy gadgets, brainwashing, evil experiments, unsubtle theme naming, and of course getting sidetracked by personal enmity of a hero, Zsinj is a funny dress choice from being a supervillain. Honestly it makes him one the most fun villains of the post-endor period, at least to me. Interesting to hear this all together. Wraith Squadron and Iron Fist are some of my favorite stories from Star Wars, but I could never find a copy of the third book . . .
Zsinj after Thrawn is the most dangerous threat to the new republic during the warlord period. Due to constantly innovating and improving his forces effectiveness and abilities in various ways and adding to them via tie raptors, use of pirates and hidden financial and infrastructure empire across the galaxy. While his tactical abilities and powerful fleet centred around iron fist SSD and empire bear to the core as he took the fight to the new republic made him a threat to be taken seriously and dealt with once Coruscant fell to new republic.

Hey Corey, this is a question thats been killing me for months: What was Oversector Outer? Queli Oversector is in the outer rim, so is Greater Seswenna Oversector that the Eriadu Authority was based out of. So who was in command? Was Tarkin in charge of all of them? Whats the deal?
As much as I understood it the Oversector Outer consisted of all imperial Outer Rim territory. With the exception of the Quelli Oversector and the Maldrood Oversector which consisted mostly of the territory within the mid rim but also penetrating within the Outer Rim. Tarkin ruled it from Eriadu. His successor Ardus Kane moved with his troops to the northern part of the massive oversector which was more easy to defend after Endor.
Your "SW Complete History of the Galaxy After Endor!" was great! Using it as a referencing point - May I ask you, please, for some recommended books/audiobooks on where to begin with post endor? As I was pretty much focused on the Old Republic most of the time, I missed 99% of the Post Endor stuff, except Thrawn Trilogy... So, as the Old Republic lore sources dried up and what exist is... well, another can of worms itself, EAWX Thrawns Revenge is my window into the Post Endor stuff. These anim. vids are excellent. There are ton of books but not not everything is available here in Czech Republic. So Audible is the best source. Thanks!

Disagree, he sticks around to long. Most of the other warlords get “removed from power” so to speak pretty quickly after they are introduced. I’m not counting the weird replacement warlords though.
I feel like you missed the very important detail that Razor's Kiss wasn't properly crewed. And trying to remote control it while also fighting Solo's fleet was what let Solo win when really he should have been blasted to scrap in such a lop sided fight.
Hard to believe a Warlord so powerful could be brought down by the nascent New Republic. I absolutely doubted the effectiveness of SSDs in arrogant people’s hands.
Why couldn’t Disney make this stuff canon they would have made so much money and an insane new trilogy block buster movies but instead we got Mary Sue and politics shoved down our throats followed by horrible writing
