- It was a hot one today, around 100 degrees. Need to get the rust and filth off the frame. I'm going to paint down the road. More research to be done. Wayne Rogerson from 40 Series Owners of Australia gave me some awesome stubby holders. Too bad I called him "Will" in the episode.

I was literally so nervous watching you operate that sharp wire wheel wearing loose clothing near nut height lmao.
It’s my understanding that loose clothing is key when working with heavy / fast moving machinery.
The last time i seen some one with loose cloths around heavy equipment they ended up naked not something you want to see it stays with you for life

Eastwood and por15 make great chassis paint. Aerosol will look nicest. I prefer satin black or chassis black. Make sure to apply a primer first.
Have a recommendation for a decent primer?
@@projectwrongway9127 Depends on what paint you use. Choose the paint-such as eastwood or por15. Then see what the manufacturer recommends for primer for that. I'm guessing a metal etching primer followed by epoxy primer. But they can give u that info. You will also want to wipe the frame down with paint thinner or something to get any grease left over off of the metal. You say your not doing a nut n bolt restoration, which is understandable. But u could paint the inner fenders and firewall pretty easily at this point and make it look a bit better. Get the paint code for your cruiser paint, have a local paint shop make like 2 aerosol cans of it. If u want have them put some clear in a few cans or just mix your color with clear already mixed in if u want it to pop more. Original engine compartment got no clear. Sand the old paint with 600 grit or with scotch Brite to rough up the old paint. Wipe down with clean rags and paint thinner, tape off, and paint. Do one section at a time. Do one inner fender one night, the other fender another night etc. Take pics of where stuff went so you can put it right back. That's what I would do wile the engine is out.

Are you incredibly wealthy? I have never seen someone wear such nice clothes to work on a cruiser. Most of us are dressed like refugees who hid in a mechanics rag bag
zimtuff I’m waiting on a check from TH-cam... so no wealth yet. I do spend like I’m wealthy. If that matters. I wear the finer threads to promote my cousins rad company. But my popularity is skyrocketing! Should be quitting my day job soon.
