Pop Land, I think by the time their second album was released in 2014 they already lost some of their success, especially when "the group" La Roux split up before even finishing the album (she had to do that solo). And for this album it's not just the time that makes her seem forgotten. She also left her label and released this stuff on her own independent label. It's a lot harder to get attention without a good team behind you - even if she still has a strong fan base.

The only thing in this world that is truly CONSTANT is CHANGE. Go ahead and cling tightly to the past. Its your perogative. But La Roux and Elly are GROWING and becoming more and more unique, but the media giants who try to control the listening audience want to keep repeating their past successes but they lose their grip eventually and that's because the "Universal Groove" calls out to everyone to come along to the FUTURE. That being said, IMO this release from LaRoux is A Maze Zing and I love you all.
Everyone seems to be either hating on her early stuff or her current stuff. I don’t understand either camp-I think she pulls off both sounds very well & is very good at making catchy melodies & grooves.

If I had never heard this song before, I would believe if someone told me Sheryl Crow was the vocalist. Interesting vocal similarities in both tone and choice of lyrics here.
So tired of people who expect her to still sound like Bulletproof. I understand how some might miss that style as modern churned out pop sounds quite different from the likes of bulletproof and it would be nice to have a small throwback to the cringey late 2000s style, But this style is quite good and it's nice to have music where you can just chill out while listening, personally I have been searching for a style like this, No bling and bitches rap or empty hype or weak sauce rap or the depressing music i heard all through out 2020 and 2019, just relaxing music that sounds familiar yet unique
