Omg one year later the investigators concluded that the pilot was disoriented. This guy called it minutes after it happened. He literally did a years worth of work intuitively in minutes.
To be fair; the NTSB takes forever because they need to look at EVERY POSSIBLE FACTOR that contributes to an accident. As a pilot there are so many things that can contribute to an accident, whether it be not following checklists, proper preflight inspection, equipment for flight list, etc. The guy was spot on though! but the NTSB must be absolutely sure!

Trips It’s funny how some foreigners think so bad about Americans, yet they are typing on an American website used by millions that was created by “dumb americans”
@Trips and please, kind stranger, describe to us in a twenty five slide Powerpoint presentation as to why you think that this man lacks articulation, when he pinpoints every detail he witnessed without having to think twice about it.
He is speaking like a pilot. He even said it is hard to control a helicopter in a low speed like that one was going, micro climates; no rotor wash, etc. he may be a sound engineer now but he may have done something in aviation at some point- very detailed narrative
Most tragic events you don't have one. But a lot of people are interested or worked in aviation, especially somewhere like that. Let's say maybe 1% of people in such areas have the know-how to report like this. If there are a few within earshot for each disaster like this, eventually a major disaster will have a witness like this. It's hardly fantasy.
I already explained it yesterday. Helicopter enters dense fog, pilot hits a ridge, aircraft becomes uncontrollable and slams into the side of the mountain 2 seconds later at 180mph, the impact causes the helicopter to disintegrate, everybody dies. There were no Disney moments of Kobe holding onto Gigi and telling her he loved her and all that. Smh lol
D. A. Although i never saw it or heard the explosion , i swear it was flying at 100 ft @ 3mph....although official NTBS report states 185 mph impact at 1400ft. Nice try Einstein.
For someone who didn't technically "see the helicopter" this is the greatest witness testimony in the history of the world. Kobe was a true Renaissance Man.
@Vinny Ocean - A man that rapes a woman is not embodied in the characterization of a "Renaissance Man". This offensive part of his life has either escaped your memory, or you are intentionally marginalizing rape. Whatever it is, this man who happened to play basketball, & like so many with such transgressions does not warrant a pedestal, so instead, just hope that his family finds peace.
@@bestillandknow9127 Kobe was one of the greatest basketball players to ever exist and on top of that was an amazing father and man who deserves respect. He was never found guilty of raping that woman... to call him a rapist is a shameful lie.
This has to be the best witness description of an aircraft accident that I have ever heard. On a scale of 1 to 10 - this witness gets an 11(he's a sound engineer - he'll get that).
Kobe trusted his pilot in a dependable helicopter, paul Walker trusted a racecar driver in a Porsche, white star trusted a seasoned captain on his last voyage, dale Earnhardt trusted his abilities on the last lap on the last turn of the race.........trust nothing..live every day as if it were your last because one day it will be. Love one another
@Larry Smith not much of a fire that i saw in the photos...would think it would've left everything scorched. Then again watching helicopters crash on line the blades most often dont just stop suddenly. Most show that the blades cause the chopper to be thrown around awhile unless they got jammed or broken off completely. This guy says they were going slow and low officially they're saying it fell at 5k ft a sec at 180mph. The police weren't even allowed to fly that day so how did this go on at all? More questions and nonsense than any information.
Kobe probably had no idea his helicopter was not certified to fly in that type of weather. The pilot ignore regulations. The NTSB has stated the helicopter was not certified to fly in that type of weather. Kobe, I can only assume was unaware of this. His dumb-ass pilot got them all killed.
@@markcmpbl2101 yea but at least you'll most likely live longer besides illness issues, you cannot trust people more than ever, people are different these days!

GAU-8 he’s also a sound engineer and is wearing a TWA hat, so at least a fan of aviation - he’s using a lot of aviation verbiage, just very lucky he happened to be there. Anyone else would have said, I saw the helicopter then it was gone, then I heard a crash.
@@Toasty_-jx6zk I totally disagree. He knows it's hard to hover a heli, and that's correct, he knows about cloud ceilings, he knows about turbine engines (versus, say, a piston-engined heli like R22 / R44), he knows the Sikorsky was a twin turbine, he knows about rotor-wash, he is detailed, and eloquent and precise, and his father was a pilot, so it's hardly surprising that he is knowledgeable about aviation and it's false of YOU to pretend otherwise. Ps. I also flew in the 90s, got my pilot's license.
This guy’s the real life Daredevil, using echolocation to describe the event even though he didn’t see it. It’s like I was seeing the event unfold in real time when he was describing it. RIP Kobe and Gigi.
@Apache NovemberReign shut up, he was taking his daughter to her basketball game and the halicopter crashed. How is any of that due to his selfishness?
The ignorant populace who knows "shit" about aviation is easily fooled. Hire a "crisis actor" wearing a defunct airline hat, and make him use some pseudo-jargon to impress, and voilà! Media always win.
Since radar shows the helicopter was going 160+ mph in a steep dive from 2000 ft altitude right there I'm not quite so sure of his credibility. The TWA hat is a nice touch though.
AZROW MIX The aircraft was 29 years old. In fact, the pilot had to rely on his eye sight to fly rather than use the altitude/speed gauge (which was a big reason why he ended up crashing). So it’s safe to say the “radar” was highly inaccurate and should not be relied upon.
This man is a great human being. He did not pull out his phone to take pictures,or record a video. The man pulled out his phone and called 911. Had he not done that, the first responders would not have been able to get there so quickly. This man did the right thing. God bless him, for who he is. Based on what he's saying, that pilot did all he could for the helicopter to go down, but he could not prevent it. They did not suffer like most of us thought they did. May all of them who perished, rest in heaven.
@@ladyindaroom He's nor rude, ignorant, sure, but not rude. Technically he is right, but saying black lives matter on a video like this is like standing up at a funeral and yelling "slavery is wrong"

I'm starting to wonder if Kobe was murdered. ESPN posted that Kobe had "passed the torch" to LeBron yesterday and then the next day he was gone. This is like when Giuliani and Bush had planes loaded with explosives take down the World Trade Center to justify getting their hands on heavy oil money in the Middle East.
@TheBestFighter The facts don't add up. Kobe is a millionaire and his helicopter doesn't have a ground proximity warning system? The chopper impacts the ground at 180mph? There was no fog 3 miles away in all directions? This makes it seem like a kamikaze pilot intentionally flew to that place to take Kobe out.

And now this old man, who just so happens to be a former TWA employee, also just so happens to be a couple hundred feet away when it happens? Nah... Somebody did Kobe dirty. Maybe LeBron because he was reflecting on his memories of Kobe the day before this happened, that's too suspicious.

It was fairly obvious from the start.

Most tragic events you don't have one. But a lot of people are interested or worked in aviation, especially somewhere like that. I already explained it yesterday. Helicopter enters dense fog, pilot hits a ridge, aircraft becomes uncontrollable and slams into the side of the mountain 2 seconds later at 180mph, the impact causes the helicopter to disintegrate, everybody dies.

@Larry Smith not much of a fire that i saw in the photos...would think it would've left everything scorched.

This gentleman may not know it yet but he’s going to help give closure to a lot of grieving family members , friends and fans 🏆 🌹

When he said visual stand point l knew it was real
@Black Jesus Hence Google, TH-cam,Facebook and pretty much all the advanced tech we use today is focused in California.........where you from? I'm guessing a red state.
BunchoStuff I has some doubts about all the scene cause there was not a bug crashing with fire and explosions view. This guy is not an eyewitness per se, but he explained the event so well it all seems to fit. I still don’t understand some angles yet.
They lucked out and found a witness that super analytical and knew the topography.
He’s a Sound engineer.....that’s a great witness, his hearing is very sharp, RIP Kobe, his Daughter, all else on board and all effected by this. Another reminder to Love our very best 🙏🏻
Random Elvis bro, a sound engineer AND a small aircraft AND weather pattern expert? What the fuck are the odds of that guy witnessing this!

Too true friend, they need to chat to this guy in depth!!
@@Hakysak89 you know...persons with a life full of achievements are exactly like this man, full of knowledge
He might be a shit sound engineer.
wow, not only he witnessed the crash but he was an expert at the type of engine it was, as he was an engineer. This will help a lot to the investigators in the investigation.
he was sent. especially saying he heard it directly above
Its crazy how he also stated that theres never clouds that low and dense.
@@russvaldezjr7175 exactly
jordaaannna he was sent? By who?
Vincenzo Vieri Engineer? He runs sound in a local Church.
We are watching the version of a very polite, human and kindness person.
I've watched this video 5 times now because this guy describes things so well
this must be the most articulated testimony ever!!!! Incredible!!

Can you imagine losing your husband and daughter in one day? I can not imagine what she is going through, prayers go out to her❤️
XZeroh Cola prayers go out to ALL the victims and their families! My god 9 people lost their lives not just Kobe and daughter!!!! People are so insensitive!
It happens in car accidents daily.

@@beatriceroberts4859 i feel horrible for everybody involved and their families. This is so tragic.....
XZeroh Cola It’s so so heartbreaking just thinking about the fear they might have felt before the fall, knowing there was nothing else they could do... 💔
We need more people like this, it makes me low key tear up when I think of Kobe holding his daughter super tight in those final moments, you were a hero in my child hood Kobe😞
Thet may have been in their own chairs, not sure of the seat configuration, but also they probably did not see it coming. Due to the thick fog.
@@StAnger561to770 yes...mostly likely everyone was just talking while the pilot was engaged in his crisis. LAPD grounded their craft for God's sake. Agencies should ground all rotor craft in inclement weather, especially around hills and mountains. Instrument rating and VFR have dangerous limitations. So sad....rich or whatever, treasure each moment of life...
Stop saying low key.
I have a feeling they had no idea what was happening so they didn't really brace for impact... they had no visibility and all of the sudden they crashed into the side of the mountain.. Just hope that's the case so they didn't live out their last minute in deep fear. I don't understand why the pilot didnt just fly straight upwards over the fog if it was so dense where they were?? Happy to learn why that wasn't done or not potentially an option??
Lucia Sosa because he probably couldn’t see?
Excellent witness. Adds considerable insight into what may of caused this very tragic accident.
