Miss Lori, you could put that mushroom filling in a zipper bag while it is still room temperature, cut off the tip and fill your mushrooms. Then refrigerate your filled mushrooms. After 45 minutes or so then you could bake them. They all look fabulous.
if you use a mini cupcake pan (or smaller)put the mushrooms in the cupcake pan one mushroom per cupcake spot, fill the mushrooms using the ziplock bag as described above, chill then bake. the cupcake pan keeps the mushrooms from rolling around while chilling, and baking, can even serve straight out of the cupcake pan, using a spoon to scoop them out of the pan.
Yes. I came to the comments to ask as well. We have 45 people for Christmas Eve this year and I need all of the ideas 💡 I can find to make it simple. Thank you 😊
Hi. Have you thought about placing your stuffing for your mushrooms in a ziplock bag and refrigerate the stuffing? After the hour, cut off a corner of the bag and squeeze the filling into the mushrooms! Less time and less mess.
I confess, appetizers are my favorite too! I stopped buying soft cream cheese a while ago. I now use my beaters and mix 3-5 tablespoons of whole milk, half and half or heavy cream. Add one at a time until you get the right consistency. So much cheaper and it really works!!!
Definitely plan on making Itl. Sausage mushrooms. My nephew stopped at my house today. He was telling me about sausage/mushrooms that he had bought at a locally owned store that they make so I am going to make these for him
Hello Lori & Dan. When my Mom was alive, she would do the cream cheese on celery and then sprinkled with paprika. Your sausage balls and stuffed mushrooms will be great to add to our holiday celebrations. Thanks for sharing with us. Be well.
Lori l was just wondering why you didnt just cook your mushroom stems, onions, garlic and sausage all in same pan instead if cooking each one separately like you did it. Time is of the essence for most of us so l think it would be a timesaver not to do it your way, but to start with onions or sausage and keep adding to build the stuffing for your mushroom caps. TYFS these recipes. I love all your appetizers and now im hungry! God bless you sweetheart!❤
To this day when I go out to eat ( which is not often) I just order appetizers and a salad. Talk about chicken wings I remember when you could go to the Butcher Shop and get the backs, necks, tails, hearts , they were called. Cat food bags and were free. Made some good soup out of those when times were tough
My kids liked “ants on a log”, peanut butter topped with raisins on celery. The version I like is cream cheese topped with dried cranberries on celery. 😁
I love your videos! I wish there were video cameras/phones when my grandmother was alive. I’d love to see her make all the good recipes she made again and again! Thank you. Happy holidays!
Oh, for goodness sakes! When I was young, I worked in a kitchen and we made those stuffed mushrooms! Not once did I ever get to try one. Thank you ma'am for this beautiful memory and recipe.
I've been doing my meatballs/sausage balls in the air fryer, at 385* for 8-9 minutes. Don't crowd, so cook 1/2 at a time. Quick and yummy crowd pleaser!
Just wanted to thank you for writing that little cookbook. I recently bought it and I am loving it so much. Keep doing this Miss Lori. We love your recipes.
@@sheriwormsley9313 For a quick dip.. one jar old english mixed with one jar roka blue, 4oz cream cheese, and one small grated onion. To DIE for. I used to serve it with Pepperidge Farm gourmet crackers. Of course now being in Ireland, it is a fond memory!
Yes please on the spinach dip video! These appetizers are making me so hungry! Great idea to flash freeze them & finish them the day of the party. I love how calm you are when you cook. Thank you!
I agree that every celebration needs appetizers! 💕 When we got married (44 years ago) I had a wonderful stuffed mushroom recipe...I lost it and still can't seem to get it just right. I know I added the stems to cream cheese and bacon, then topped them with a mixture of fresh finely chopped bread and parmesan cheese (maybe a drizzle of olive oil) and then baked. Still, I can't get them to taste the same so I'm doing something wrong. Maybe I should add some "Everything Bagel" mix, because I agree it tastes good on anything!
The recipe I have used also called for Feta cheese in with the bacon, cream cheese and mushroom stem mixture. Not sure if this is what is missing but it was really good 😊
Try mixing the sausage and biscuit mix together first, then add the cheese. It seems easier to get the biscuit mix incorporated into the meat without having to deal with the cheese. Then just mix the cheese and sausage mixture together.
Ms. Lori, you reminded me of how my Grandma, on holidays, always put out trays of celery stuffed with cream cheese and topped with Salad Elegance. As kids, we could eat as many as we liked because celery is a vegetable :)
Loved the recipes. I make the celery with diced drained olives mixed with cream cheese. I’ll definitely try the Everything Bagel seasoning on top. The sausage ball recipe with the Red Lobster mix is another recipe I’ll try. I’ve never tried the mushroom recipe but definitely will. Your videos are so peaceful and enjoyable to watch.
When I make stuffed celery sticks, I use finely chopped green olives and walnuts mixed with cream cheese and a tiny bit of the olive juice , then stuff into the celery stick.
Thank you Ms Lori What a great idea .I used to cook every holiday dinner every year by myself Full course old fashioned cooking way to much food 10 to 12 pies and enough to send enough for another meal with a pie for every family to take home Around 20 to 25 people I stopped about 5 years ago. But seeing your appitizors I could see those going along with a baked sliced rib roast ,ham ,turkey with a sliced cheese tray different rolls and breads g,for, few salads and simple sides with a couple good deserts Yummy and practical stress free.
Anything is made better with cream cheese! Love the cream cheese filled celery. That would be great for Thanksgiving when the meal itself is so filling and high carb. This is low carb and won’t fill you up.
I find part of the joy of appetizers is the MAKING of them -- so relaxing when one has time. My husband loves "bite sized" food - I make plates of steak bits and other appetizers sometimes for dinner. There's only the 2 of us so it's easy to make a supper. Add a glass of wine and we're set for the evening! Thanks much and love ya. (you remind me of my Aunt Edna from Mt. Vernon, Iowa, who, at 80 plus years of age, loved deep fried green beans dipped in mayo.) You would have LOVED her! Blessings - from Cheryl in Annandale, Minnesota (an Iowa raised, cow milking, baling hay from girl country girl.) :-) I turned 70 years young this past April and continue to enjoy family and friends. AND, you are family!!!!
I make sausage balls for Christmas Eve snacking every year. My family loves them. Thank you for the next level idea of using the Red Lobster mix. Im really excited to wow my family with this new version!! Much love :)
I learned to mix the cream cheese and peanut butter together and stuff the celery, it is really good! Here in Des Moines, Iowa we have a large Italian population. The Graziano family is famous for their Italian sausage, it is THE best! I bet Mr Brown loves when you make things like this, so he gets to help clean those plates.
Mmm.. I make sausage balls and stuffed mushrooms. I tend to put some celery and onion all minced in the mini-food processor in my sausage balls with some cheese and some bisquick. That cheese bread mix looks like a good thing to try this year. I swear I could eat a plate of those for dinner, I'm with Mr. Brown on that. I'd just as soon eat a bunch of different appetizers as I would a regular dinner anyway. The Chinese have Dim Sum and the Spanish have Tapas, we don't have a special name for it little plates of deliciousness. Snacks, I guess. I love 'em.
I have noticed that a lot of what USED to be poor folk food, because it was cheap is now considered "gourmet" That is because good cooks figured out how to fix those cheaper cuts and pieces to make them good. The word got out and now we often can't afford to buy them. All of these look amazing. God bless
We used to have celery with Kraft Roka Bleu Cheese. It came in a little 4 oz jar with a top on it that you had to use a bottle opener to get it off. I used to see it at Wegmans every fall holiday season. Oh! My Mom used the glass containers as 4 oz juice glasses. We never had oj in large servings like today. Only small glasses. Have to check at Wegmans the next time I'm in the area and see if they have Kraft Roka Blue Cheese!!! You have to understand...I'm 73...wayyy back when I was a little girl there wasn't the choices of different foods as today. Roka Bleu cheese WAS FANCY!!!😄
I never thought of using the Red Lobster biscuit mix, and I forgot to buy Bisquick the last time I went grocery shopping. I also only have bulk turkey sausage, so I'm going to use the turkey sausage with the biscuit mix and shredded medium cheddar cheese and see how my sausage balls turn out. I never had sausage balls until I married my (now ex) 2nd husband and moved to Russellville, AR. That's also where I learned to like grits and turnip greens. My marriage didn't work out, but I did learn to love some new foods my mother would never have dreamed of cooking.
Thank you so much! These all look yummy and I want to try them. A simple thing mom used to make that was a big hit was rolling up a long chunk of pickle and cream cheese in those thin Buddig smoked beef slices. God bless you and your family and have a very blessed and Merry Christmas.👵🙏🎄💖🎄🌁⛄❄❄
So excited to see the holiday recipes you have instore for us. It is exactly what I need. We traditionally do Christmas dinner but this year we are doing dessert trays, cheese boards, appetizers. All finger foods. My soon to be daughter (in law) asked if we could do that and add some games. It sounds like we are going to have alot of fun. Looking forward to blending traditions. These 3 are definitely on the menu. I love stuffed celery and can't wait to try it with everything bagel. That stuff is SO good!
I did this when the kids were older with Bisquick. I’d freeze then when they woke up over Christmas break and they could grab and bake when they wanted them. This would have been great to have even on busy school mornings. I mix hot and mild sausage.
I love your recipes, I love you kitchen, I love your way of life..... But most of all, I love the picture of the two of you together in the very beginning, so beautiful, so handsome, and you're still both that way, and the love you have for each other.... Oh, you do my heart so much good, bless you!
Some wonderful ideas for appetizers! This year, I am baking a ham which we will probably slice for sandwiches, making our traditional raspberry pretzel salad, setting up a baked potato bar, and the rest will be an assortment of pies, cookies, quick breads, and finger foods. Anything I can make in advance is always appreciated. Thanks for the recipes!
I email myself all your recipes then write them out when I have time. My job on a holiday was always to fix celery stuffed with pimento cheese. These 3 I will definitely try. They all look yummy! ❤
It all looks wonderful... I'll have to give them a try! I works love to see the spinach dip and the dips you talked about that were 4 on a pan surrounded by rolls! 🥰
Watching replay. My grandma made the stuffed celery for years.I grew up on it and so have my kids & grandkids . We put olives in our cream cheese.love it.
This reminded me so much of the appetizers I grew up with. Stuffed mushrooms (a bit simpler than this but still good), Fake Ramaki (pineapple and water chestnut wrapped in bacon, the real one has liver I think), Corned Beef rolls (Buddig corned beef spread with cream cheese, stacked then rolled and sliced into pin wheels -- crisis in my family when Buddig became hard to get for a while) and cauliflower, carrots, celery, pickles and olives served with Liptons Onion Dip. These were always the appetizers served at my parents Christmas Party. We haven't got together as a big group in a while for Christmas but when we do these days we add in some Spinach dip, Shrimp Cocktail, Devilled Eggs and Chili dip and we can feed the whole once a year crowd (I believe we're up to around 34 folks). Thankfully we can divvy up who brings what. The dips are the easiest while the shrimp, Ramaki and surprisingly the veggies/Onion dip can be the most expensive. We also try to keep amount of a serving smallish for the expensive stuff or divide it up between two families. We limit each group to only one gift per kid under 18 (currently only 3, can't wait until there is more) and ask those who can't afford to contribute to show up at whoever's house to clean before and after. It's a great chance to see family members you haven't seen in ages. We also do it at like 3 pm on a Saturday before Christmas and most folks pile in their cars and view the Christmas Lights around town on their way home (if we don't have too much snow). Thank you so much for the video -- I'm now remembering the smell of stuffed mushrooms and everything that is great about cream cheese!
Hello Mrs . lorie and Mr. Brown . Thanks for sharing . All three of your appetizer recipes . Simple to make and so delicious looking . Got tickled when Mr. Brown got caught . The Lord Bless Both Of You.
I lived on a farm when I was very young. Every night when I went to bed I heard the Whipp-poor-wills, I just loved that sound. I still live in the country. I just don't hear that sound anymore.
I love sausage balls, but never heard of using the red lobster biscuit mix…genius…I will definitely be making those…and those mushrooms…looks delicious…I’m going to be making them and freezing them for our holiday get togethers…thank you so much, looking forward to more!🤗
Sausage balls have always been a favorite in my family and I love Red Lobster biscuits. Can't believe I never thought of using that mix in sausage balls. Will definitely do that over the Christmas holiday.
Lori I love to watch you cook and talk. Your accent and voice are so calming. Girl you got it going on! I’m definitely going to do the sausage rolls and stuff mushrooms. With Italian sausage 👌🏻of course😉 I’m Italian but American first. I Love your Channel, you and Mr Brown are fun together. Y’all Stay Safe God Bless✝️
Stuffed mushrooms and sauerkraut balls are my 2 favorite appetizers!! Of coarse, both have sausage and cream cheese in them, 2 of my favorite foods, lol. A dill sauce on the side is so good with the mushrooms. Thanks :)
Oh those look so yummy!! I also like to take crumbled blue cheese add a little milk until it become a consistency that’s spreadable , add some garlic powder, salt and pepper and fill celery sticks with it. I think those sausage balls will become a new thing for us Christmas morning!
I’m trying those meat balls, sounds good..I must say I love your nails, theres a good appetizer going on with lil smokies and wrapped in bacon then put brown sugar on them and put into oven..haven’t tried it yet but going to try yours and it
Hi Lori; Sandy Here, I have this appetizer(only @ CHRISTMAS, don’t know why!!) with regular cream cheese & salt! Not whipped or flavored, We Have a large container of celery filled with cream cheese sittin in the fridge ready to grab salt it up & eat. “THE BEST” All through the holidays this container gets replenished . Nice memory every year, Thanks for sharing, see ya on the next one! - SANDY
These all look delicious! The idea of using the cheddar biscuit mix is brilliant! I love appetizers, too! Would love your spinach dip and wings recipe, too! Thanks for sharing with all of us. We love you!! ❤️ As always, prayers and blessings for you and your beautiful family!
Using a melon baller, or now days you see cookie dough scoops in several sizes too, is so fast to scoop out the balls and drop them on your sheet. Then just roll them all and they are the same size! So quick and easy! these you do look so yummy!!!! I love that cheddar biscuit mix!!
Miss Lori, sausage balls and stuffed mushrooms are the Christmas memories of my childhood. Now your video has got me hankering after some of both. I remember going to the big Tupperware bowl full of sausage balls for "just one more." Thank you for the memories
I would love to see you fix spinach dip or the dip with the bread. Really I need more recipes for Christmas that I can do ahead, freeze then bring out and cook. I love your videos, Mrs. Lori. God bless you, Mr. Brown, and the rest of your family!💞
I had never heard of sausage balls until last Christmas when I made your recipe. They taste great and freeze like a dream! These cry out for sausage gravy. Thank you very much!
All three look yummy Lori…I had to chuckle when I saw the cream cheese stuffed celery…so simple but I love them…my mom would always make them on thanksgiving morning and that’s what we snacked on before the big dinner…fond memories…totally would love the spinach dip recipe and look forward to all your coming holiday recipes…thank you my friend for all your work…god bless xox
You are an inspiration in my new kitchen. I lived in a camper so long I almost forgot how to use an oven and freezer. Thank you and God Bless you both.
Yummy!! Maybe we could use our cookie scoops for stuffing the mushrooms? Yes on the wings. Thank you for sharing Ms. Lori, all of your recipes are golden! :)

The everything bagel seasoning is great my daughter got me some and I have it on all vegetables raw or cooked it’s great I love the stuffed mushrooms and of course the sausage balls

Ms. Lori…Do a cookbook on appetizers ! These look so good! I just added mushrooms to my on line order to make these! So thankful they can be frozen ahead of time❤️ hugs from south Alabama!

But most of all, I love the picture of the two of you together in the very beginning, so beautiful, so handsome, and you're still both that way, and the love you have for each other.... Oh, you do my heart so much good, bless you!
These look so good I am going to try them!❤❤❤👩🍳👩🍳👩🍳
Love stuffed celery, but I must remove the celery strings.
God Bless You as well! Great video! Thank You!
Thanks for the recipes!
sounds wonderful!
I just love and adore you your so easy never flustered always calm love your recipes....God Bless you and your family.
Yes, please Ms Lori, would love to see the four dip sheet pan recipe. So enjoy watching your videos. Merry Christmas!
Father Christmas just walked in! Just kidding -- Mr. Brown know 's he is adorable lol! Thanks for the yummy appetizer ideas.
I email myself all your recipes then write them out when I have time. My job on a holiday was always to fix celery stuffed with pimento cheese. These 3 I will definitely try. They all look yummy! ❤
Miss Lori, re: spinach dip, you could make mud sliders and I would watch, love you and MR. Brown. You are such a loving, calming influence….
Miss Lori, you can fancy the filling up and pipe the cream cheese in with a small star tip.
Loved these recipes, thank you🎄🎄🎄
It all looks wonderful... I'll have to give them a try! I works love to see the spinach dip and the dips you talked about that were 4 on a pan surrounded by rolls! 🥰
Can’t blame Mr Brown😎👍🏼THANKS FOR RECIPES
Every time you cook it motivates me to cook too and exactly what you make! Love your videos. Thank You for all you do.
Love these ideas!! Thank you Delvie.
I was just remembering the corned beef and cream cheese appetizers Grandma made for her Christmas parties!! They were so good!!
Hello Mrs . lorie and Mr. Brown . Thanks for sharing . All three of your appetizer recipes . Simple to make and so delicious looking . Got tickled when Mr. Brown got caught . The Lord Bless Both Of You.
I always use a cookie scoop and roll them.
I lived on a farm when I was very young. Every night when I went to bed I heard the Whipp-poor-wills, I just loved that sound. I still live in the country. I just don't hear that sound anymore.
I've them too!
I love sausage balls, but never heard of using the red lobster biscuit mix…genius…I will definitely be making those…and those mushrooms…looks delicious…I’m going to be making them and freezing them for our holiday get togethers…thank you so much, looking forward to more!🤗
Omgoodness but that looks good. Talk about drooling 🤤 Yes, Yes, yes please show us the spinach dip. 💐💙
Sausage balls have always been a favorite in my family and I love Red Lobster biscuits. Can't believe I never thought of using that mix in sausage balls. Will definitely do that over the Christmas holiday.

My husband would love appetizers every evening for dinner. He would like these.
Stuffed mushrooms and sauerkraut balls are my 2 favorite appetizers!! Of coarse, both have sausage and cream cheese in them, 2 of my favorite foods, lol. A dill sauce on the side is so good with the mushrooms. Thanks :)
Lori, when I make homemade bread, I put this everything bagel in some olive oil and dip my bread in it.Delicious!
Oh those look so yummy!! I also like to take crumbled blue cheese add a little milk until it become a consistency that’s spreadable , add some garlic powder, salt and pepper and fill celery sticks with it. I think those sausage balls will become a new thing for us Christmas morning!
I’m trying those meat balls, sounds good..I must say I love your nails, theres a good appetizer going on with lil smokies and wrapped in bacon then put brown sugar on them and put into oven..haven’t tried it yet but going to try yours and it
I'd love to see a video with the rolls and the dips. Sounds like something I could do for an upcoming party. Thanks for all your good videos.
- SANDY
That “Everything Bagel” spice/seed mix is the BEST!!!
Made with love always tastes the best.
We mix chopped pecans in the cream cheese to put in the celery. Will definitely try the everything bagel seasoning.❤️
