BLUF: I like this format. unsolicited and unwarranted opinion incoming: This format is awesome. I am not as good as Lex and I do not play the same format, but the thought process can be applied in different formats. IE Lex has played probably hundreds of thousands more hands than I have, so things that you learn from experience like, population tends to check raise certain boards with air or w/e, I can steal those and add to my game without paying the fee to find out (admittedly this has on occasion gone horribly wrong for me, but altogether overwhelmingly positive).
great stuff. would definitely also enjoy longer videos. obv. depends on a tournament run. but pretty sure ppl would also watch 30-60min educational vids. i think you very amazingly make it interesting for beginners as well as people like me, who've been around the game for a longer time. ;) keep it up and thanks for the content.
Thanks so much for the feedback mate. We can definitely play around with length. It's really hard to tell for me how much material there is for 1 video because there is a lot of downtime in my recording. Experience will make this easier to gauge and we will give you guys what you want!
Hearing Lex explaining all this stuff in, what we in The Netherlands would call 'Jip-en-Janneke-taal' (very simple language), is so strange yet exactly what we needed!
Hey Lex, I learned a lot from you during the last 2 years and improved all aspects of my poker game. Still much to do to accomplish my personal goals, but your (new) content is a great source for learning and experiencing the beauty and ugliness of this crazy game. Don't be sad the moment I crush you during a big heads-up and take first place, because it means that your lessons worked! I will reveal myself when the time has come, so keep this comment in your subconscious mind ;) Thx for everything, and greetings from Germany
Great that you're making this kind of content Lex, since it's absolutely more friendly for non regulars or ppl that is actually starting to really take the game serious. Had a blast watching you explain the terminology and so many of the basics ;) hope to catch you up live some of these days! big hug from Argentina again!
Potential to be a great great format - sharing thought process makes poker videos so much more interesting and takes us viewers/players for the ride. So often I've asked myself in the past, I'd love to hear about your thought processes before various situations, and finally you provide a format that provides answers - awesome idea! Thx!
Been watching for a while, and this is by far one of my favorite videos of yours. Would love some longer videos on these kinda videos and love how it applies to most of your audience
I have waited so Long for a Video like this. Also enjoyed that the tournaments are in my bankroll. Seems a little bit more reliable to me. Thanks and keep on doing this great Stuff
This was very engaging and strikes a perfect balance of making the game approachable while being educational. I sent it to a friend who is new to the game!
amazing videos !! Love the content and the teaching videos, would be nice to know what capped mean, I hear it sometimes in poker videos what not sure what exactly it relate in a poker context. Best of luck Lex !!
Capped means there is a ceiling in your range. So if I say my range is capped it means it doesn't have the strongest hands on that board in it. Example; if I check in position on JT9 with a flushdraw, I don't have straights or sets and my range is capped. It's a vital concept because when ranges become capped the other side can attack more and this is when overbets are introduced.
This is by far the best format I've watched this week. Very clear and concise info as usual, very easy to follow-up along in these low stakes spots. Explaining blockers the way you did was pretty good as well! Explain different types of vocabulary as well as they arise as you get into different situation, I would encourage you continue on this path! :)
Hi Lex, I've been a truly a long time subscriber & an over the yrs I've learned a lot just watching you play. Thanks for the new content an ill be tuning in to all your stuff as always. Thanks
that is the kind of content that i was waiting for . I really want to thank you for this educational video it s very important for me if you keep doing this, i will see every single video and support you !!
New viewer here. Big thanks for the format, helps me breakdown a lot of small things I was doing inconsistently. Keep it up, I probably need a lot more :).
Hey Lex! I really enjoyed this video, I've been following your streams for the best part of 5 years. Though I've learnt an awful lot from you on twitch, I was very happy to see this video being based on micro stakes tournaments. One of the issues I had applying what I'd learned from the stream to my sessions was the huge level gap between my opponents and yours. Keep it up, thanks a lot!
Hey Lex any books or other poker resources you would recommend to use to get better? And what do you think about the Daniel Negreanu and Phil Ivey masterclasses, are they worth it? Lastly, keep up all the good work man, thanks.
This video actually covered a lot of the basic questions I ask myself often and also ones I failed to think about! Definitely looking forward to another video, gonna learn patience from that too :p
I really love this a lot! Very interesting what your thinking is in making decision in this "ride along" video. Thanks! Appreciate making the time for this, you could've also been grinding instead. Forgot to mention I like the stakes you play in, i can relate to this. I hope you will mention it if you adjust your decisions, because you are playing low stakes. Love to see more video's coming!
Great video Lex. Really enjoyed these hand breakdowns. I laughed so much when that river 6 came for a chop just as you said it was unlikely. Keep it up - best poker on YT
This is exactly what I think most players want to see on youtube, especially having the opportunity to learn from someone as successful as you. Thanks again! keep it up
Excited for this new series! It’s great because a lot of plebs often complain in comments that good strategies “don’t work” in lower stakes because player base is crazy. Prove em wrong!
Really cool and creative angle you’re taking in this video. It illustrates your thought process through hands, decisionmaking. I’m pretty familiar with most basic strategy concepts, but as a beginner i would learn so much here. Enjoyed it from start to finish Edit: The way you explain and tone of your voice is extremely pleasant to listen to.
Always lovely stuff, man, great learning! Been lucrative since a couple months when a friend introduced me to you Brazilian love 2 positions before you yesterday on the Big 3.30 !!
Just found your channel and found this to be really informative and well presented! Remember you back from HSP, I learned a lot about poker from Gabe's commentary... really nice to have a pro share his thought process. It's fun to pause and think about what to do. Keep it up!
didn't think I would, but I really enjoyed it. love the preflop bet sizing info. can't wait to see more. betting small pp pre and what not and if bet sizing and ranges change due to turbos or pko
11:20. Very good point. I’ve been cut down to 0.5 blinds with 2 tables left and ended up coming back to win the tourney. 👍 Love your content man and learning a lot from it. Keep it up. 👍
Learned some new stuff just by watching this video, really like the content. Also I am curious to learn more skills in bounty builders, but maybe that's still on the menu. Keep it up!!
This is a great initiative Lex! I would love to see how it goes for a deep run. My feedback is that this is a great pilot episode; simple and clear. You obviously know what you talking about, and I understand it easily. Sincerely happy with this initiative because I know I am going to learn a lot from these vids.
Thanks bud! Hmm yeah I see what you're saying. It's a bit hard in terms of time. I record these on Monday morning after my Sunday session and right before I go back to Holland. So I don't have time to play one for 3-4 hours. Maybe with a turbo I could just ride it out till the end!
Some gems in there! Love to see a video on late stage strategy, I struggle when the blinds are high and lots of people are jamming 15- 20bb to steal. What positions should I be playing/ protecting.
Thanks a lot for this type of content. Iv'e already learned so much from your stream and videos. Keep up the great work!!! Looking forward for more stuff like this
Hey Lex, great Video, great content. I enjoy that you teaching us in low stakes Tournaments. Its so different than the highrollers. Keep up. I am looking forward the following content.

Much love!
I don’t think content creators are looking for ”constructive critisism” on every single video.
Keeping it easy. This was great!
