Thank you for your information. I am just getting started and researching the best setup for the Ender 3 Pro. Very helpful and time-saving. Thank you again for your video.
You're welcome. Glad this video was helpful. The Ender 3 Pro is a very good 3D printer and with a couple of mods, it really rocks. If you are just getting started, no need to rush into upgrading it though. The Bullseye or the Blokhead are definitely upgrades I would recommend. Another upgrade that I highly recommend is to switch to Direct Drive (See my video on Direct Drive Upgrade th-cam.com/video/Zbk0viFC1ew/w-d-xo.html if you haven't seen it yet). The direct drive not only allows to print everything, from PLA to TPU, but improve significantly the accuracy of the extrusion. I am wondering why Creality printers are still using Bowden extrusion! I have a video coming out shortly (probably next week) about printing insanely fast with Direct Drive + Blokhead on the Ender 3 Pro. I have been experimenting for weeks and I believe the content I plan to release will be exclusive to my channel and is not available anywhere else (yet)! Stay tuned!
I used both bullseye and blokhead. advantage of bullseye: no need for new parts or fans to buy, better view of the hotend. advantage of blokhead: better cooling.
thanks for this video! I learned what a bullseye is for and that there is an alternative, competitive option. Now I just have the difficult decision of which to print.
Thanks for the video. Great job. Love your bridge tests. Do you plan to print v2 petsfang and test it too ? That would be great. Btw in this video a music is a bit too loud.
Thanks for watching and for leaving a comment! I am testing right now the Hero Me Gen5. Video coming out shortly. I will take a look at the Petsfang v2. Agree, the music is too loud in this video. Sorry about that... I have fixed this in the new videos...
Someone needs to create a fan mod that provides great visibility of the nozzle. I dont xarexabout noise and I will never need to print a bridge that wide without supports, but darn it I inspect my prints a lot and want to look at the nozzle from time to time to assure things are ok...
The Bullseye is one of the best I have seen in terms of visibility on the nozzle. Much better than the stock cooling of the Ender 3, both in term of cooling and visibility on the nozzle IMO.
Thanks for your comment. I like Noctua fans but could not find a 5015 24 Volts fan from Noctua. Which Noctua fan did you install on the Blokhead? Did you have to make some changes to make it compatible?
I don't think so. I haven't tried myself but it looks like the duct would interfere with a 20 mm high fan. The Hero Me Gen 5 is compatible with a Noctua 20 mm fan. See th-cam.com/video/Cz-Ag0OTL7M/w-d-xo.html
It depends what you expect from a cooling mod. If you ask me, I would reply this (but this is just a personal opinion and I am not a 3d printing expert): Pure performance (bridges, overhangs): HMG5. Silence: HMG5 (2 fans spinning at lower speed make less noise than one fan at higher speed). Ease of print: Blokhead (less parts and support free). Ease of installation: Blokhead (less parts / less hardware required). Direct Drive compatibility: Blokhead (The HMG5 shifts the hotend forward by 8-9 mm which breaks the compatibility with the official Creality Direct Drive or the SpeedDrive V1). Also to take into account: aesthetic, cost, visibility on the nozzle, compatibility with future upgrades, ease of maintenance and so on. Both are good choices and improve upon the stock cooling, you cannot really go wrong! Since I tested the Blokhead, David Petsel has released a Direct Drive version of its Blokhead which seems interesting: www.thingiverse.com/thing:4868204
Thanks for your feedback. May I ask you what you mean exactly? Making additional (different) tests? or repeating several times the same tests to check repeatability?
Thanks for your feedback. I made a mistake in this video and kept the music too loud. You're not the first one to complain. I am new to video editing and still learning! I have reduced the volume in the subsequent videos but might decide to remove the music completely for the new videos... I hope my videos were useful to you despite the music. Hope to see you soon on YouMakeTech!
I did not let it run to completion. Once the first 2 layers provide a solid fundation in the air, it is just normal printing. The hardest part of the bridge is the first layer because it has no support. Without enough cooling, the PLA fails to remain in place
Thanks for your feedback. I understand. In this video particularly, I made a mistake and the background music is too loud. My choice is limited to royaltee free music. Do you prefer to watch videos without music at all?
@@YouMakeTech I might be the minority but I usually listen only loud enough to hear what is said. I don't really care for music in informational videos. Again, definitely don't go by my taste it is only my observation. Thanks for the reply :)
@@AllTheNamesWereInUse Thanks for your feedback. I thought the music would make the videos more entertaining but got almost always negative feedback about it! Too loud, can't hear what you say, don't like the music and so on. I will get rid of the background music all together in my future videos. Thanks for watching, cool videos coming out shortly (and without annoying music). Stay tuned!

idk what song this is at the beginning but it got me HYPED to learn about these ducts haha. Thanks for the review!!

Hi, can you help me find the song on your video? I've used google a lot for Highway Hunters. Thanks in advance
Hi, you can find it here -> www.premiumbeat.com/royalty-free-tracks/highway-hunters
4:05 Why does it stutter in this pass?
can you share the slicer settings for blokhead
Sure: 6 walls, 50% gyroid infill, supports from the ground plate only.
thanks i will try to print blockhead
Great video, subbed!

can u test bridge test for hero me gen 5

what filament your using for blockhead petg or abs?
I am using Sunlu PLA+. PLA is fine as the parts are not too close from the hotend.
Can the Blokhead be added onto an direct drive assembly?
Yes you can use it with the SpeedDrive V1 direct drive. Take a look at this video: th-cam.com/video/Zbk0viFC1ew/w-d-xo.html
A direct drive version of the Bullseye/Blokhead is also available: www.thingiverse.com/thing:4868204
