- Nordic track treadmill C2255 malfunction, motor starts and shuts down immediately... should I buy new control board or is a speed sensor issue? Or should I just try to get another on Craiglist for the price I would pay for the parts?
Mine was doing the same thing, Just replaced my control board on my A2250, works great now, took about 10 minutes to replace $125 eBay. But I saved the old board because the resistors can be replaced pretty cheap if you can find someone to do it.
Sounds like my problem exactly, Can you get that mosfet transistor online and where? worth the $5 bucks to see.......

I had this same treadmill mill for 8 years. I put a lot of miles on it and lost a lot of weight. Finally the belt started slipping and the running board snapped.....but again, this was 8 years after I bought it. Used at that. Great treadmill. I just bought another one, same model on craigslist for $100. Hopefully this one will last a long time too.
Its probably the Mosfet transistor. Its the black thing with 3 pins on it attached to the metal frame. Costs 5 dollars. Replace it and your problem is solved.

What did you decide to do with your C2255 Nordictrak?? If you decide to fix it, what was the part that needed replacing (or cleaning) ??
HI, sorry I did not respond to anyone for a while... The practical thing to do is to is buy an unbroken used one for pennies on the dollar! That's what I did...
I have the exact same problem... with Treadmill NordicTract C1750. Does anyone know if its the motor or the speed sensor ?
My treadmill does this and been trying to fix for a while maybe time to find a new one

Having the same problem, model c1900.... Anyone resolve this yet?
Just fixed my C2100; symptoms were it would not start no matter which button I pressed.
Plug it in, has power, attach safety button, it beeps.. then press Start button.. nothing.
Remedy: Had to clean keypad. Here is a link to a video that describes it:

Basically the keypad is two thin plastic membranes with *extremely* thin metal stripes on it. Something had been spilled on my treadmill (diet pepsi I think) and this got in between the two membranes. Cleaned it out with rubbing alcohol and a paper towel, put it back together and... IT WORKS!!
Once again, alcohol solves all problems... (kidding).

Mine too... it just beep when I press start and belt does not move. They have lifetime drive motor warranty so trying now to open drive motor hood but it’s a pain. Only able to get 3 front screws out? Anyone can share how to open motor hood?
Just tried to remove the hood on mine today. Same deal. I was able to remove the front 3 screws, but it won't come off. I don't see any screws holding it on at the back, so I'm not sure what to do.
Mine is a model C2255. Beside the 3 front philips screws, there is a philips screw on each side of the cover where the cover is near the running belt or large metal pipes that supports the console. Each of these philips screws can be accessed from underneath with a long philips screwdriver - you'll have to set the incline to 12% to make enough room to get the screwdriver into the deep hole for the screw.
Paul Neumann thank you very much. I have same model. Was it the motor that’s bad with yours? Mine powers on but the belt does not move or any sound from motor. I only see a red light on circuit board.
@@ricodane7567 Mine behaves just like the OP (painmad) - belt starts to spin for 0.5 - 1.0 seconds, then stops. No error codes on the main console. I disconnected the red and black wires that go to the motor and connected my car battery charger (12V dc) to the wires and the motor and belt spin nice and slow. That tells me the dc motor is good and maybe my speed sensor is the cause. Next step is to unplug the speed sensor to see if behavior changes.
@@paulneumann8605 did you figure out the problem? Mine is doing the same thing. It starts and the abruptly stops.
