But in terms of her going on the show - you go and preach to the heathens - they’re the ones who haven’t been led to God. If all you’re doing is preaching in your church, you’re ignoring God’s commands to the people in His churches.

Sometimes when she hits high notes she gets pitchy and it has happened in several of her performances and she also sounds like she is pushing it too hard.
I wondered if anyone was going to say something about the pitchy notes. Hey, if America loves her, I’m fine with it; she has a real appeal. I just hope somebody’s working on it with her, and they’re not ignoring it among her coaches.

It’s better to be recognized by God than to be recognized by people for fame and fortune. When you go to American Idol or the Voice shows, it’s for showbiz. Many Christian artists, not all, but many who become famous through American Idol has proven to be famous for their talents but not their personal convictions.
That is my concern, too. People ought not wear "religion" as a skin suit for entertainment purposes, fame, profit or personal glory. Abi is my daughter. I hope she does not succumb to the wiles that have beguiled so many!

Daughter of a loving father and mother who were married and raised by BOTH of them. (The kids were homeschooled, so their mother did basically raise them herself while Dad went to work. But, as a school teacher, he had weekends and summers off, so he spent A LOT of time with his children, coaching their sports teams, taking them to music practice, playing with them, teaching them, reading the scriptures and praying with them, etc.)
