We've only seen Peridot cry twice, Once when she was in the rain and again when in the gem drill. she's one of my favourite characters and I think it's time we see her get a proper emotional moment with her, maybe when Lapis abandons Earth we'll finally see Peridot break down in tears. And since she's usually a comedy relief character, it might give her more dignity?

In addition, the Crewniverse has had virtually nothing game-changing happen for *FOUR CONSECUTIVE SEASONS* while simultaneously keeping all the important lore securely locked-away where no one can find it, which isn't at all helped by the show repeatedly going on month-to-year-long hiatuses that only extend the waiting-time; at this point, revealing anything after keeping it under-wraps for so long is only going to feel horribly anti-climactic, because nothing could ever possibly hope to live up to such monumental hype...
If they want to successfully make Beach City important to the plot, the idea that a new mayor may highlight and blacklist the Gems would be interesting. It would be like how they did with the finale of Teen Wolf, where the entire town of Beacon Hills was turned against all the supernaturals through fear. If this "new mayor" Were to use the emotions of the citizens as a mayor, his character would have to be done just right, to the point that the citizens actually agree on what he says. This was just a thought, but in all honesty, it wouldn't be bad because no one in Beach City ever questions the actions of the Gems, and seeing this narrative play out would be interesting in terms of creating a different angle of character development of those in the setting(Beach City). Other than that what do y'all think?
Theory time! I'll make it short. Pearl is an era 1 pearl, which explains why her gem is oval, why she can summon a weapon, and it also explains why she said not all pearls know each other. Yellow and blue diamond probably have had other pearls. Ok so theorized timeline! Pearl was made on homeworld as a servant for white diamond, when pink diamond conquered earth, white gave our pearl to pink as a gift, recplacing her with a special era 2 pearl for herself. So pearl was passed on to pink diamond. Notice how in the trial, the pearls look shocked when pink pearl was mentioned, what if pearl wanted to not be pinks pearl anymore, and ran away. Rose was the only gem she could be with. It also makes sense if the song escapism was for pearl as there appear to be lots of flashbacks in season 5. It would also make sense why her two main colours are pink and white! Ok! Theory over! You can go home now. PLZ WOULD U INCLUDE THIS THEORY!!! IN A VIDEO!!!
It'd be kind of cool if steven found out everything on his own through his experience on homeworld, then his all of his trust in the gems and his father is kind of shifted, as he's angry he had to find out the hard way instead of the people who care about him telling him upfront and honestly. I think it could be a stift towards maturity and more self-reliance. Then again, rebecca sugar wants to keep him more childish but with slightly more mature emotions. Now that I think about it, his journey in sacrificing himself to homeworld is a way for him to mature and gain more autonomy and independence , compared to season 1 where the gems barely let him come on missions

Not matter what scary adventure he had Steven could retreat to Beach City. except that he can no longer Lars is trapped in space because of Steven's actions. Lars is not some random guy like Onion who Steven would meet up from time to time Steven saw him more or less everyday. And his absence will be staring Steven right in the face everyday. I would be disappointed if we ended up having a few Beach City Hi-jinks before addressing the Lars situation.
Currently, It doesn't matter what Steven does, even if he helps EVERYONE, Steven gets the short end of the stick, and will ultimately have a complete 180 personality change, because he has to do it alone.
honestly, as weird as this sounds, i hope that season 5 is sad and dramatic. after everything that hapoened at the season 4 finale, it would be appropriate. i'm invested in this show now, and i know a lot of other people are too. and i feel like it would actually be more disappointing if it just went back to regular beach city antics for another season.

All of the damn bullcrap that has happened to Steven and the rest is building up to one of the most emotional moments in the show that's gonna happen in season 5, and all of this emotional stuff is gonna keep on building up to the finale. I'm not saying that the final is coming soon, I hope to god it's not, but seriously, think about it.
