  • The Auto Spray System, all electric robot, has got some serious pulling power wrapped up in a very small package, but it’s not got much of a load bed.
So, on a sunny Yorkshire morning, we thought we’d do something about that and see if we could add a trailer hitch.
John and Nigel from Fishers spent the morning measuring, cutting and welding and by lunch time we were ready to test.
For the sake of this quick proof of concept, we just used an old, rather bent, trailer that was lying round the yard.
One of the robot’s handy features is it’s ability to do a 180 turn within it’s own length, but of course, that’s a problem when you’re towing. But Richards clever Swan Neck design, meant that wouldn’t be an issue.
With a thousand Newton Meters of instant torque on tap, the little robot was able to tackle the rough stuff with ease and we reckon, with the right weight distribution, it will be able to pull over a ton.
Now that the proof of concept has been successful, we’ll get a bigger, shinier, less bent, trailer made which you’ll be able to see at the Cereals Event on June 29th this year.
    Hope we see you there!

In the UK the retail cost is around £25,000 depending on configuration.
