    It took me forever to produce this video. From forgetting to film stuff, to filming it and at the end the camera was stuck on some weird focus and everything was out of focus. Had to refilm all. So much out of focus that even had to buy a single spark plug and refilm the gapping. Hope you enjoy it. Let me know if more info is required.

      I don't know if the seloneyit valve will cause so much trouble, but I think there is a malfunction in it even though I changed it, you are right.

    • @moremolecules
      @moremolecules  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If it is the 1.6HDi, the solenoid valve can cause problems. Either too much pressure and not releasing or no pressure at all and no turbo, e.g. underboost or overboost.

    Nice video, I've also got the 307 1.6i. The service counter varies from car to car and depends on your driving style and conditions. The car's ECU will automatically adjust the duration. I drive my car 90% of the time in the city, often on short distances and don't particularly look after the car. When I reset the service indicator, it shows 18600 miles to the next service.

    Lovely car, I remember when I was a kid my father and I would pass trough the Peugeot factory in Argentina and I would stare at the lot of brand new 307's. After a few years I was able to drive a few of them, now I own a 208 with the evolution of this engine the TU5 EC5. Not very fond of small aluminum blocks and turbos..

    Nice tips, I will be going to replace the spark plugs soon and this was really helpful, thank you!
    Off topic question seeing that you have an oil temperature gauge underneath the RPMs just like I have: Did you ever saw the temperature raising above 100 C? Mine always runs with a line above 100 degrees while maintaining a speed of ~100 km/h or more. And the coolant temperature stays at 85 C degrees, knowing that in the colder days the coolant temperature goes about 70 degrees while running. I've changed the oil since I was observing that (this summer), replace the oil temperature sensor but it didn't make any difference. Have you ever encountered that?
    I don't know what to think of, I was thinking maybe the head gasket is worn but the water is not boiling nor oil is present in the expansion tank or vice versa.
    Even I have put the car through a diagnosis and there is nothing shown. No errors.
    Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you ^^

    • @moremolecules
      @moremolecules  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, the 100C is the oil temperature and on mine is the same as yours, no matter the speed, the oil temperature will be ~100C. I have not seen it rise >100C so far. This should be normal, no gasket problems. The oil goes around the engine, it cannot drop, it takes the heat from the engine and the coolant cools the oil.
      The coolant temperature though is rather variable, if I am travelling on highway/motorway it is ~80C, but if I stop for a short while it jumps fairly quickly to quite a bit more (90-95C), then the fan kicks in and the temperature drops and this goes on like this. Petrol engines run quite a bit hotter than diesels, my 1.6HDi does never go above 82C or so, it has to be really hot day and stationary for long time.
      All in all, your engine seems as mine and pretty normal.

    • @ksoulmusic
      @ksoulmusic ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh I see, so then maybe it's just in my head that I would have an issue x_O
      Thank you man! Really appreciated! Good luck with the channel. Quality content👌

    • @moremolecules
      @moremolecules  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@ksoulmusic Nothing to worry about. If there is a head gasket issue, there will be 3 symptoms or a combination of them. Milky substance under oil filler cap (mayonaise like), or oil in the coolant expansion tank or a lot of white smoke coming from the exhaust even when engine is in operating temperature.
      I was always a bit worried about the relatively higher coolant temp on my 307, but forget that petrol engines are not that energy efficient as diesels.

    I hope you can help me 🌹
    my car peugeot 307 2006
    I have a problem in the power steering.

    sometimes Two or three days pass without any problem The power steering . 💁🏻‍♂️
    And sometimes power steering stops working more then 5 times a day 🤷🏻‍♂️
    I already replaced the power steering in a new one, put it still the same problem 🤦🏻‍♂️
    * I think the problem is overhead .
    I believe that the the power steering temperature goes higher and power steering stops itself 🤔
    what do you think?
    *P.S : wen I cool down the power steering in water hose hes starts works normally 😐
    *P.S 2 : wen The Power steering works the steering wheel is very very easy to Spin and light and fast.
    Thank you for reading my problem and excuse me for explaining a lot 🌹

      If it is overheating, I would say that either the piping is somewhere blocked, so you may need to undo all the pipes and clean everything and replenish the fluid. Have you also tried taking the liquid out and replacing it with fresh one, something like this: th-cam.com/video/An0ClZBverw/w-d-xo.html
