- Is the multi-function display very dim or not illuminating at all in your Peugeot 307 from years 2001 to 2008 ?. You may only need to replace the bulbs to fix the problem. The bulbs are 12 volt, 1.2 watt 286 wedge type bulbs. It is possible to replace the bulbs without having to disconnect the wiring and fully remove the unit, but it’s a lot more difficult. Many people are complaining (including me), that during hot summer days when sun shines directly onto dashboard then the display is dim and you can't see a thing. Even with bulbs working. Replacement of bulbs doesn't solve the issue. What works is a replacement with a same type display from Peugeot 206. Be warned, that it might work perfect after change, but you might not have radio/audio player afterwards. Someone with PP2000 or other diagnostics might do the settings and everything to work fine afterwards. I did it and it works (well, I need to replace 2 bulbs, but the rest is fine) :)

Thanks for the video. I followed your steps exactly, and everything went well. To anyone who will do this in the future, be careful when lifting the entire display unit - it pops out unexpectedly and solidly, so brace the and control the load carefully. Prising the cable clip out took a bit of patience, but it worked out OK. Everything from there was straightforward. I replaced all the bulbs. However, when it all went back together, there was no difference to the dimness on the one side was exactly the same! It seems that the lighting levels are supply not consistent across the display, and it wasn't a bulb not shining. Its just the way it is. Anyway, I love this 307, and the effort is worth it.

I popped the display out and back to see if it really comes out that easily before buying the lightbulbs. The last bulb died as i popped ot back in, it all went black, tought i broke the display completley 😃 Followed your steps exactly, changed all three lightbulbs and everything went perfectly, thank you for the video. Now i have to change the ligbtbulbs in the climate controls. Looking forward for the next video. Thanks!

Thank you, yes it does. It displays the radio/cd player, fuel economy and door open and other warnings etc

I am also changed the display screen for 307 year2004 and installed used one but radio not working they told me it need a code or to be programed can u help me
After battery died mine has iverted colors (instead of orange on black it's black on orange) and american date format. Any idea how to fix that?

A question none asked - is it possible to change the lcd and place another kind of display unit? Touchscreen etc??

I have a problem with mine but I think it is the head unit itself needs replacing.
It now flashes in French and none of the buttons on the head unit/radio do anything. The menu button does nothing so I can't change any of the settings.
Should I replace the unit?
Did you press and hold the button just to the left of the display ?. That's how you get into the menu to adjust language etc. The button to the right of the display cycles through the options
My i20 dashboard multi display info LCD has some shadows vertically, not lines, across the screen. How do I fix it??
It's clearly visible especially when check during night time. Also, at these shadows areas, the colours are bit dimmed as compared to the normal screen areas. There is no other issues. Please help me fix.

I have Peugeot 307 1,6 2007. Automatic gear was in P. On display come ( Place gearbox in P ) Is it a problem ?? Come 4 time in halv year

The display is working perfectly, however anytime i reset the current date & time it resets back to the original setting i.e January 2003 01, whenever i switch the car off. How do i deal with this ?

I did this (2 bulbs were broken, so I replaced all 3 bulbs), but the display is always dark.
I adjusted the brightness trying to set the maximum, but even at maximum the display is too dark to see (just a little bright but unreadable).
Probably the display is broken? Any ideas?
