SO SO Glad That Your Happy with the Lights there Glenn its Turned out 10/10 Spot on,, For a min there i was feeling bad sending you a nightmare of a job to do but then seeing the end result i was super chuffed that i did get them out to you my friend and your spot on about the 3mm led as when i saw my kit and saw the size of the holes i figured if you wanted to you could use the 3mm led instead of the 5mm, But all in all Super Happy that its turned out so gorgeous and also was over the moon when you said your going to use the BZ Superstock in the Leonis as its the recommended motor for it so Thanks for allowing me to contribute to such a Great Channel and to Happy RC'ing as the efforts you go to for this Fab Channel is second to none and its you as a person thats makes this possible. :-)
Well I can turn this lovely comment back on you my friend, it’s people like you that make doing this such a pleasure 😊😊😊
Great job Andrew love watching what Glen does with anything Tamiya
@@TAMIYALegends Thanks Heaps Buddy :-))
Is it 3mm LEDs in the four middle spotlights and 5mm in the outer lights?
Making light kits work is a huge effort but definitely worth it. With light coloured bodies (white, yellow, orange) I paint the inside with a couple coats of silver then black to eliminate light bleed.
Excellent information thank you 😊
Thank you for this honest post Glen. All knowledge has a cost and sharing your hard earned knowledge saves lots of folks a bit of cost that adds up to a lot 😅
Thanks for watching my friend 😊👊🏻
Oh Glenn you light up my life 🤩
Haha 🤣👊🏻
Thought that was a nice looking car before but those lights really bring it to another level. Props to having the patience for the install. 👍
Thanks Harry 😎
Yeah it was a bit of a mission but well worth it in the end my friend 😅👊🏻
"Okay this is not going well.......Wow...... I really wish I knew what I was doing...." You've inadvertently totally summed up my life! Another great vid, car's looking brill.
Haha fantastic comment my friend, that really made me have a chuckle 😂👊🏻
Wow that lighting kit is amazing, that’s now on my list ready for when I build my kit, another great video, thank you 👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Ace Glenn, the LEDs really finish the 037 off. The rears in particular are just perfect with a lovely warm glow. 😍😎👍
Thanks Rob 🤩👊🏻
Nice work Glenn. Lights always lift a kit. They are absolutely a pig though. Semi trucks are the worst. Have 30 lights on my aeromax. The wires! My word, the wires! It gets overwhelming.
Thanks buddy yeah maybe one day I’ll attempt the lights on the truck, but there’s no rush 🤣👊🏻
Love the first “Well, that was fun.” Thanks for again showing us honest pain and suffering that is takes you to do some of these things. It’s good perspective for when they happen to me. Car looks amazing.
Thank you for watching my friend 😅👊🏻
Your hard work sure paid off. Was not a fan of the front end but now seeing the lights working. I get it now why people like it.
Thanks Robert 😊👊🏻
@@TAMIYALegends no thanks for reminding me that artwork comes in all forms.
I’d love to do this for a shelf queen. Possible lights & wiring without the kit, and hooking it up to a 12V power source that can plug in a wall.
That lancia body shell is a stunner with that light kit looks just brilliant excellent job Glenn 👍👍👍
Thanks Craig 😊👊🏻
That is the coolest lancia rc car kit out there and now with those led's looks even more amazing. So nice of people to send you quality kits and accessories, unfortunately unless you need bald tyres for a Grasshopper I cant match them.
Keep up the good work ✋🙂
Don' t know why , but this hardbody looks almost real 1:1 !
Dream Car
Yeah the whole detailing of the body shell is next level from Tamiya 🤩👊🏻
Beautiful looking car and this Lancia is so iconic and the LED lights that you've added really makes it standout.
Excellent thanks for watching and leaving a comment my friend 😎👊🏻
I looked at the lights and thought About fitting lights then promptly moved on as it looked real fiddly😂 but I agree those spots need lighting . Maybe one day
Wow, looks amazing… I Spy a new shelf in the background.. 😍
Haha totally out of space at the moment Malcolm 🤷🏼♂️🤯🤯
Turned out nice , definitely worth the effort. Good job Glenn.
Thanks Eric 😊👊🏻
Looks really cool, if you can get those 4 light cowling off, i would light block them with either some black paint or silver foil tape.
Yep, I was going to suggest the same thing except using silver paint first so that it doesn't tint the white that much.
Yeah I’ve done that now with silver then black 😅👊🏻
That looks absolutely fantastic!
Thanks buddy 😎👊🏻
Holy crap, that Lancia looks bloody fantastic with the lights in it!! I've got one of those kits, I've built the chassis but I'm planning something a bit different for the bodyshell. I was going to put lights in mine, and after seeing this video I think I'll get the LED set and fit it before I finish the shell ;) Awesome job mate!!
Yeah that’s definitely what to do my friend, it’ll save time and a lot of hassle 😅👊🏻
Well worth the effort - looks fantastic!
Thank you 😅👊🏻
Wow very cool. Do you have part numbers for all the lights and controller
Just bought this kit. Not sure I will do a light kit though. It looks a right pain !
addend lights to some of mine its awkward to keep nice and neat ,you done well..when i drive them they loosen up and i have to fix (fj cruiser as per everything you bash)
Fantastic thanks for watching Lee 😎👊🏻
Yep that just made me want one
Looks fantastic 👍👍👍👍
Thanks Simon 😊👊🏻
Nice work. Really makes it look realistic. 👍👍 Love your channel.
Fantastic thanks for watching and commenting my friend 😊👊🏻
I’m currently in the process of building an R34 GT-R (the Tamiya one, mind!) and deciding whether to put lights in or not. Still don’t know when I’ll get to it since I’m waiting on a certain paint to come back in stock at my supplier (Spaz Stix) but the LED thing has been on my mind for some time. Definitely a must if doing the Coppermix Silvia or the R34.
I’ll let you know how it goes. I love the Tamiya PS colors but the purple wasn’t deep enough which is why I went with Spaz Stix. The only thing is that it’s enamel instead of acrylic like the Tamiya paints are so spraying might be a bit different.
That’s fantastic it sounds like it’s going to be a Beauty my friend 😎👊🏻
That came out great Glenn way to go! You had me worried there for a minute 😄
Thanks buddy 😊😊😊
G'day Glenn mate lol the Tamiya led kits are complex you can have turn signals left and right and break light hi beam low beam head lights. Use y leads plug it in to channel 1 on receiver and one of the socket on Tamiya light kit try all there's one that blinks when you turn left or right. Same for throttle break light. And use 3rd channel for hi and low beam for head light I hope you understand what I'm cracking on about mate lol I'm not the best at writing down what I know mate lol 😂
Fantastic information Lionel, thanks for sharing this my friend 😊👊🏻
Ahhahaaha!
Well it was worth it, unreal mod.
That Car is now next level.
Beauty TL. Great show thanks.
Thanks buddy 😊😊😊
Its a dazzler that is Glenn. Its a lovely looking kit. Other kits in the pipeline at the moment so can't part with my cash for one of those dazzlers yet. ATB Darren.
Thanks Darren 😊👊🏻
Fantastic....everything I need to do the same with my 037 ?? Where do I buy the lights set and all I need etc ??
That was a bit of a mission but it's definitely worth it, the car looks awesome with them on. I've found that Tamiya 3mm LEDs with leads are expensive and quite hard to find. I have found that the bulbs from the dirt cheap kits on eBay work with the tlu and seem to come with a mixture of sizes.
If you do another, I think it's worth backing a kit that you plan to put lights in with primer and/or silver just around the lights, it just cuts down any shine. Or you can put some silver aluminium tape around the back of the LEDs.
That’s fantastic information Tony thank you 😎👊🏻
Nice work as always Glenn. Just bought one of these for my son for Christmas to use with a lampkit on the Hotshot so really useful as keen to put lights on my rally Focus too. I saw Traxxas sells a more sophisticated light module that gives you brake lights too so wondered if anyone has tried a different setup?
Excellent hopefully someone will comment back regarding the other light unit 🤓👊🏻
Brilliant... Literally!
Thank you 😊
Oh my it looks gorgeous with the lights on! I'm starting to slowly warm to this car, with the stupid massive bumper off it begins to look like the original. Wonder if theres any way to get those bulbs to be a bit on the yellow side, the blueish tint makes them look a bit modern (like xenon/LED), having that old 80s yellow light would be ace. :D
Excellent thanks for watching and leaving a comment my friend 😅👊🏻
Switching the LED from the 5000K-6000K bright white for 3000K-3500K warm white light would be closer to an incandescent bulb
Car looks great.excellent video too Glen
🤩🤩🤩
Thanks as always Ian 😊👊🏻
More light coming from them then my wife's ford fiesta Glenn! Looks the real deal mate!😉👍
Haha thanks buddy 🤣👊🏻
@@TAMIYALegends 👍
Glen, you may will have shouted "let there be light" but did you do the job in just 7 days? Love that car BTW. Always had a soft spot for the Stratos and the Integrale HF Turbo. I hope Tamiya bring out a really special Integrale on an XV-01 Pro or VX-01R on a long shock chassis (yes I know they don't exist). Same sort of thing that did with the Porsches, make em special.
Oh yeah I like that sound of that as a special kit my friend 🤩👊🏻
Such a great model! Are they the stock rims? Looking forward to some non-body abusing night footage! (pleassssse :)👍👍👍👍
Looks awesome great job
Thanks Pete 😊👊🏻
Another great video Glenn 👌👍
Thank you 😊
Nice job . Maybe might try and have a go myself .
Thanks buddy 😎👊🏻
@@TAMIYALegends just had a look at mine . Yeah might have a long think on this one 😂👍
Be nice to see a nighttime running video with the lights Glenn 😎👌🔥🔥🔥
Yeah I’m hoping to get that done soon my friend 😎👊🏻
Looks great 😎
Thanks buddy 😅👊🏻
Would you ever do a wild willy build? I checked your videos and didnt see one. Again love your channel.
Yeah believe it or not I’ve never had one 😬😬😬
Admittedly looks like a bit of a ball ache... But the end result is well worth it.. looks ace..👍🇬🇧😎
Thanks Mark 😎👊🏻
Totally awesome 😎
Thank you 😊
Looks sweet, now for the Audi!
Yeah haven’t got one yet 😬😬😬
@@TAMIYALegends I ran out of space. :)
Looks mint mate, did the same thing on my gt1 Street, sold it..... wish I never had 🥺
Thank you 😊
Worth the trouble, looks great!
Thanks Wade 😊👊🏻
Am I missing the testing running video?
Love the car it's sick mate 👍
Thank you 😊
looks good
Thanks buddy 😊
Nice!!❤️❤️❤️
Thank you 😊
nice
Thanks for watching 😊👊🏻
LEDs on RC cars are awesome but a PIA to set up and maintain. I have a set on one of my Porche shells and they kept falling out so I just super glued them into the light bucket housings. Problem solved.
When you gonna run this 😁
There’s never a quick job on RC cars
Haha so very true my friend 😅👊🏻
to be fair glenn you didn't know someone was gonna send you an led kit so the " bodges " are not really bodges......... i wouldn't lose any zzzzzzzd'z over it
Yeah that’s a fair point buddy 👊🏻
Ummmmmm....light bleed anyone?
It’s fixed now buddy, it was the first time I’d done this so it was a learning curve 🤓👊🏻
That's for when Glenn converts the Lancia to a rock crawler - he's already got rock lights ;) LOL
@@TAMIYALegends She looks fantastic 😍
Totally awesome 😎
