- A house catches fire and spreads next door. A 12-year-old boy playing video games late at night is to thank for getting everyone in his family out of the house. "I hear a pop. So I look outside the window and I see fire, like the light of a fire," Avante Weeks tells Inside Edition Digital. He ran outside to see what it was and back to his home to alert his parents. "I'm so proud of him. He's very responsible always, but to be that quick on his feetand everybody got out safe and unharmed was amazing," says mom Tabatha Weeks.
Every kid that want to stay up late playing games is gonna show his/her mom this video 😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
😅😂❤
True😂😂
They should when they can save lives
Ok 😊
Having a night owl in the family can be a really convenient thing.

yep,. i sleep better knowing my mom is awake all night long, if something happens i know shell storm in and wake me up
first a kid saved his family from carbon monoxide then a kid saved his family from a fire. Kids, this shows that you should stay up and play video games all night cause you never know.
I was going to write the same comment, but you beat me to it. 😂
Bro they use the same thing as smoke detectors for carbon haha he didn't do nothing, it beeps loud af when it's triggered
Thats what i was thinking
@@CyrusTheVirus187and some still manage to sleep thru
When I saw this video I thought about the CO story lol
Dang these kids staying up late have been saving lives. There was a one not too long ago for the same thing with carbon monoxide.
Yeah, I knew I wasnt wrong, I knew there was a similar situation like this recently lol just couldnt remember
Lol my little brother was up playing fort until 1 am saved us from someone breaking in sick he heard a noise
@@israels841omg thats scary but thank goodness
yup and he was only 10 i think

Moral of the story: Stay up late at night and stay gaming to save your family for any unforeseen events that may happen.
This is the issue with newer homes. They pack them so closely together that they catch other houses on fire and there is practically no backyard
That's all people can barely afford in Biden's economy.
Do you see now why the government wants houses built close together? Population control. The more you know. So if the people resist they'll respond like this to entire neighborhoods

Laughs in proper neighborhood with proper yards

Father: "You know we can never tell him to go to bed on time again without him telling us that we might die if he does... you know that don't you?"
What a savior for a 12 year old kid saving 1 family.
What is it about turning 12 that suddenly makes you anti-early-bedtime😆 Good thing that in this case, he saved the family.
It’s literally in our blood. Puberty messes up our internal clocks so we’re perpetually on “teenager time”
Depending on the time this fire happened, it seems likely that it’s summer break for him and he had no real need to be asleep. I didn’t have to go to bed during the summer until the last two weeks before school to help me get back on schedule
This is maybe the 2nd story of a kid staying up playing games, then saving their family
👏👏👏
So 12-year-old boy/girl should be taught more on how to be alert while playing computer games at all times.
Always ready to call parents when emergency.
Smart move.
That is mandatory.
Thank you for that.
But the best way to stay safe is double-check the electric outlets before sleep.
Trust me on that.
My house almost on fire, smoked.
Smelled smoke from the outlet.
Called 911 for sure then try to splash the fire inside my home.
did you really just reply to your own comment?

Let your kids play video games 😂

I'm 35 and I still play video games late into the night sometimes even the morning. Good job kid lol

God Bless this child for saving that family
He’s a little hero good, parents should be proud.
How is he a hero???!!
Because he saw a house on fire and actually told someone about it!!?!! That’s a common sense response, does not make him a hero!
@@kathysmith4912 Because him warning everyone about it saved lives and because he didn’t panic?
all jokes aside. seeing these type of stories is always so sad. like I can't imagine losing all my belongings and memories just like that. and there's always people making jokes but I always put myself in other people shoes
Im glad he's ok

See playing video games late night isn't always bad or it can be a good thing too!
Great job by him, I know losing a house hurts, but at least they're all still alive. Playing video games late at night isn't such a bad idea after all. I mean school, jobs, house chores, and necessary shopping takes up alot our days already. So getting to do something we enjoy often has to wait until the evening/night time hours.
UR A REAL, TRUE HERO N SUM!! GOD BLESS U N UR WHOLE FAMILY ILL B PRAYING 4 U ALL LU FROM MONTANA XOXO
bro sacrificed his sleep so his neighbors, parents and him could stay alive what a hero

Depends on how they have way on teaching at school and/or with parents.

Is anyone else curious about what happened to the neighbors?
That kid is a hero. Mom probably told him to go to bed. He’s like I don’t wanna go to bed. I want to play video games and that’s what saved his family’s life.
Kids, don’t wait, call 911 first.
moral of the story: kids, stay up late. you will lose sleep and get bad grades, but at least you will save your family one day 🤣

Can't wait to show my parents!
Well this proves to parents that there is one thing good about video games😂
I witnessed my neighbor being brutally stabbed because I have insomnia and I was up playing video games. The cops were already on their way it was the sirens blaring that caught my attention
Proof that staying up late and playing video games is a good thing 🤣🤣
and they said playing video games were bad.
Stay up late and ALWAYS pray for safety.

Literally whenever I watch these videos I get so scared but like they're so like I like them so So I So I can't stop watching them

Ohh wow🙏🏾🙏🏾
Safety is not a priority for many.
Parents Don’t stay up too late playing video games. You have school the next day.
Kid-Saves family from fire.
This like the second time I saw a headline like this
same thing happened to me once. Was up late playing a game and when I went to the bathroom I look outside and see a fire in the woods right next to us. If I hadn't seen that who knows what would have happened.
This is why i don't have a problem with kids staying up late playing games most parents do but it can be a good thing
I bet bro saved his game

Mama can never tell him now to stop playing video games😂
This kid has an excuse for late night game sessions for the rest of his childhood 😂😂
Let me guess insurance won't cover it
imagine how many problems can be prevented with intelligent security cameras that detect problems and alert the people, like fire theft wild animals etc.. someone should do that
S/O to him for actually stopping & going outside to check wen he saw the glare of light/fire.🫡
Sorry for your (house) loss. Good kid. Off camera he may get grounded though, haha.
No, no need to ground him he’s a great kid❤
I know what it's like to go through this. The exact same thing happened to me and my neighbors on April 10, 2023 at 12:30 am. I had gone to bed two hours prior. Had I stayed up a bit longer, I would've been able to alert everyone. My neighbor's house had it worse than mine but in January this year, we moved back into our house, my neighbors moved back into their house two weeks later. Our houses were torn down to studs and completely rebuilt. We lived in a rental home from April 29, 2023 - January 17, 2024. If you want proof of this, reply to me and I can post the link to it. I hope everything goes smoothly for this family and their neighbors.
So happy I’m moving to the country to a different country bc well I get the worst fires in my countries, countyside
Moral of the story: Stay up late playing video games.
Epic gamer moves
Bro waited his "whole life" for a reason to keep playing! Jokes aside, great job staying alert.
Hero!
Thank you...!!!
@avanteweeks1273 your Welcome 🎶
I was in a somewhat similar situation, although not really. I was on vacation with my family when the fire alarm went off at our hotel. It was something like 2am probably, and I was busy playing on my phone. There was no fire, but the alarm woke everyone up, all except me. Then we all left the building while it was cold and raining.
