The Bible is not Secular history.. it is Salvation history. David is the Son who represents humanity. It's addressed to the Imagination. Awake thou that sleepest. God lies sleeping in you. God is your own wonderful human Imagination.

While I am no expert historian, I would implore you to look to those who are and you will see that even secular historians validate the historical evidence of the Bible’s accounts. For a few references, refer to the writings of Josephus, Tacitus, Pliny, The Dead Sea Scrolls, The Moabite Stone, The Cyrus Cylinder, and numerous archaeological finds. While you may not believe that Jesus is the Son of God, there’s no dispute that he was a real person who walked the earth. I certainly don’t require that you agree with me. I do hope you’ll be interested enough to take a look at some of these sources though, as well as those who are far more expert that me.
