Blows my mind what these guys can do. They're all so obscenely talented. Vlad does SO much with a relatively minimal kit. Eugene has these absolutely sick bass riffs. Roman is a monster on guitar. Top it off with a vocal talent and stage presence like Tatiana? Criminally underrated is about god damn right. I am stoked to go watch the interview, and watch you continue listening to this absolutely massive talent that we've all come to love.
speaking of small crowds, I was privileged enough to get to see them on their NA tour last October. They played a show in the middle of nowhere to a room with a max capacity of probably 150 people. And they treated it like one of the biggest shows of their lives. Super cool group and an amazing experience
you prolly dont care at all but does any of you know of a way to get back into an Instagram account?? I was stupid forgot the password. I would love any tricks you can give me.
It's also pretty impressive how well Tatiana performs right out of the gate, I've seen vocalists who didn't sound that spot on on the first song in the set
when I saw them here in Italy in 2016 there would have been 40 to see them! A fantastic display, whether they are in front of 20 people or 3000 make no difference! If they had told me that they would have gone all this way I would not have believed it ... But they believed it and they made it to the sound of concerts !!! Tatiana on stage has a unique charisma and personality The guitarist told me they were at 132 concerts in that year alone !!
The look in your eyes says t all, we are with you brother this band is simply on their own plane of existence. They have become my favorite band these last 3 years.
This song was already 7 years old at the time of this concert, it was the first song Tatiana wrote lyrics to. It was originally thought to be played by 2 guitarists and in a higher tuning (drop C). It was the only old song they "converted" to the current tuning (drop A) and arranged to be played with only one guitar. 6:40 - Some trivia about that ESP: it belonged originally to the other guitar player, Dmitry Oksen. I guess Roman bought it from him when he left the band in 2015. He recorded the whole King of Everything album with it and it was the only guitar he played until he got the Venus (and the Rhea for drop C tuning) from OD Guitars. : )
Very refreshing to see a Jinjer reaction that is not 100% focused on being shocked by Tatiana's awesome voice. Very interesting technical insights there. I have tickets to see them in June, so I really hope this Covid stuff has quieted down by then. (It's for a metal festival, and *all* the sub-headliners are so good. Spirit Box, Gojira, Opeth, Mastodon, Devin Townsend etc. etc.)
It wasn't a daytime festival, but when I was 17, I went to a Cannibal Corpse and Dimmu Borgir concert. The first opener was Lamb of God. There was only about 20 of us there at the time. They were the best band there. They didn't start blowing up for another few years.
Saw Jinjer twice in 2019. Once at download where they played about 4pm on the 4th stage. The small tent was spilling out with people. The other a club show in Phoenix that sold out, and should have been moved to bigger venue. I believe jinjer is the best hope for a younger generation band moving up to festival headliners.
Love this band so much. i get goosebumps every time i hear Tatianna go low growl on that last breakdown. can't wait to watch your interview with Eugene and Tatianna
5:47 - Wow, with only half an hour set a band like Dream Theater would not even attempt to play 2 songs 😅. 9:25 - Makes me think of Cellar Darling. Totally other style musically, but I remember seeing them playing live, Anna Murphy plays the flute, the hurdy-gurdy, the keyboards, takes care of the tracks AND sings. That's a lot of things to take care of in one concert. And she's kind of a perfectionnist so everything has to be 100% for her ! 12:10 - Best part of this song. Probably my favourite part of any Jinjer's song 👌
Favourite Jinjer song, and that is saying something. This whole song, the musicianship, the vocal performance, the lyrical content, the stage energy, it should be mandatory watching for reactors and folks interested in exploring Jinjer. Add in the fact this was early on, before they got the expanding reputation and the video and performance are simply amazing, flat out, knock down top shelf.
I saw them live in Adelaide (first Australian gig) and they were sensational. Whole tour was sold out. Only small venues, ours, Fowlers was 750 person capacity and it was sensational. They seemed to enjoy the intimate size of the crowd. Some even brought their kids. Hubby and I nearly brought our daughter but though she is 8, she was too small and would've felt overwhelmed. Everyone was tight, in tune, not a note wrong and yet not mechanical. Hard to explain because they're not as interactive as say Stone Sour or SOAD, rather it's like being invited into a rather lively jam session because they are so focused and into it. I'm a music snob; if you're not tight live you're dead to me (hell I got my hubby to take me to see Nigel Kennedy at the Sydney Opera House for my 40th for an example - side effect of having a pro jazz drummer for a father). But I will see these guys again in a heartbeat. :) Thanks for your review and your perspective on their set. :)
This is what Gwen Stafani could have been for the U.S. if she could have learned to scream. I appreciate how much reverence that you approach these reactions with. Jinjer really is under ratedz
The amount of energy pouring off the stage during their live shows is mind-blowing. Even during the end when they slowed it down to a reggae groove, there is so much power. I cannot get enough of Jinjer. I downloaded their new live album 3 days ago and must have listened to it 20 times already. One of the best bands out there these days.
Vlad's Tom & Jerry shirt for the win! Man, the energy these guys put out on the show and I don't know what it is but the bass line sounds nasty... I was on the Alive in Melbourne livestream for a while and it was crazy. Need to catch up on the rest tonight.
I’ve seen at least a half dozen reaction videos for this performance (it’s so awesome, I’ll never turn down a chance to see it one more time) and today TH-cam suggests Tank’s channel for the first time… BY FAR, the best reaction video, I’ve seen! I love the technical content and a great sense of timing and when it’s okay to stop the song. And yeah, Jinjer is probably the best metal act touring today… I’ve been a fan for quite a while (hell, for a while I assumed that they had two singers because I hadn’t seen a video) and everyone in the band is just awesome, but I have to say they went from ‘great’ to ‘astounding’ when Vlad joined the band. He just does a great job of locking everything together which gives everyone else the foundation to shine…
I must continue to recommend "I Speak Astronomy". I know you're gonna get to that song sooner or later, but I can't help to mention it whenever someone talks about their songwriting wit. It is such an underestimated song, there's so much to it...it's like a present to anybody who ever played an instrument.
Great reaction for a great band, a great drummer, a great bass player, a great guitarist and a SUPER great singer!!!!!! I saw them in Moscow last september, great concert of course...😁
Hey man, LOVE your perspective as a roadie. Definitely gives insight on aspects of their performances we wouldn't have known otherwise. Also as a drummer, Vlad is insanely technically gifted, and his open style of playing blows me away.
The only thing (slightly) better than seeing a video of Jinjer performing live is seeing a reaction to the video where the person reacting to the video looses their f-ing mind. Very cool to see Tank rock out here - a first among reaction vids I've seen.
Saw them live 2 years ago as an opening Band to Arch Enemy, and i've been listening to them ever since. I could also recommend Cloud Factory. Their official music video to that was from that live show where i saw them.
rewatching your Jinjer reactions haha. Enjoying that stank face when she goes into the low growls. My first Jinjer concert I was standing next to a stack of speakers and I could feel those low growls shaking my whole body. I could feel her words in my bones. Something I'll never forget. Hope you got tickets for their shows this fall. Cheers!
So glad to see the live for the entire band on this channel! 100% agree that they dont get nearly the respect that they deserve. Great reaction and going for the interview next.
Criminally underrated is spot on! This may well be my favorite combo (song/live performance) of Jinjer in You Tube, absolutely killer song and a hell of a performance! I cannot praise you enough for the extra mile you go in these videos, the joy you get of it, the information, the feel you have for some details that can go unnoticed...and now an interview with these amazing artists that I will check out next!! Very good content man, keep it up! Oh, can´t go without a suggestion for Jinjer: "On The Top" live in Kiev, it´s a blast! Peace.
Recently discovered Jinjer through this rabbit hole of reactions and I am so glad. They are so talented and fun. One of my favorite things about them is their stage presence from these live videos. They just look like they put on an amazing show. Now that live music is slowly starting up again... I really hope they come to America(more specifically New England) sometime down the line when travel is more common and such.
I know they have a tour lined up for this fall/winter, but don’t know the exact routing. I plan on seeing them in Nashville. 🤘 Looks like 11/20 they’ll be in New Haven, CT, and 11/21 in Boston.
@@TankTheTech New Haven? So that must be Toad's Place. Awesome! Looks like I will be buying tickets soon. Thanks for the info. So excited for live shows again. Starting off with BTBAM(postponed from last May) and Ghost Inside/ETID/Acacia Strain/Currents/Great American Ghost in August at the Palladium in Worcester, MA. Anyways, you've got yourself a new subscriber.
Heard your interview with the members of Jinger. You have a real future in heavy metal media. I dont know if you're a good writer, if not learn. You could have a real future in this. I loved the questions you asked and the knowledge you have. You had good energy and I'd love more interviews. Get after it bubba. I thi k you're looking at new career opportunity.
Just 'subbed'. JINJER, my fave band. Great reaction to JINJER...I'll be seeing them in September, locally in Syracuse, NY with Disturbed and Breaking Benjamin, who I worked with years ago...
I have to say that your reactions are by far the most enjoyable for all the research and knowledge you bring. The only "reactor" I am currently subbed to, keep it up really entertaining.
Always a pleasure watching you enjoying Jinjer, as we all do.Criminally underrated, well said man. Next one should be : "Pit of Consciousness" live in Kiev.
I used to think Roman was playing that Dual Rec as a backline at this show, but as someone in YT comments somewhere pointed out to me, if you look at the wide shot, you'll see his old reliable 6505 sitting on his 2x12.
Just noticed this while wrapping up my work day. If you think that change at the end is rad, it's time for Judgement (& Punishment) my man. You can do a double feature of the official video and the one take performance like Chase and we did. It's pretty impressive when you compare full studio cleanup and raw, up front talent. I'd also suggest the official video for I Speak Astronomy now as well since that's my absolute favorite Jinjer song, full stop. I never get enough of it. And I suggest the video because it's wild man. One of the best official videos I've ever seen, I'm not going to lie. Keep doin yo thang my man! I'll keep watching the ones I know! :p
See ...and this is why I keep coming back to your channel. Also you are so skilled with your knowledge about gear etc. Blows me away. Looking forward for more of your honest athentic and great reactions. Hell yeah 🤘🏽🥂
Commenting before I've even watched the video. Already know it's gonna be great. How could it not be? Gonna jump right on to the interview with Tati and Eugene after watching this.
This was the first song by them I had heard not pisces like most people and I was immediately hooked Bass has always been my favorite instrument and Eugene blows my mind and how talented he is the whole band is just talented Tatiana has incredible stage presence
I Like how you mentionned how it should be to attempt to one of their show, without knowing them...I had the chance to discovered this band live. They were opening for Cradle Of Filth back in 2017 or 2018, their first North American tour if I'm right...and Holy Shit!!! I wasn't ready 😂 They opened the show with that song, the entier set was insane!! Huge fan from them since then! Great reaction, and thanks for all the infomations you add! 🤘
Ok I've been a fan long before Pisces came out. First video I saw of them was Sit, Stay, Rollover. I get a kick out of watching any and all reactors experience them for the first time. But as many times as I've seen this song I've never heard the Bass notes so clean and clear at the beginning of the song. So props to you and your set up!!
Hey Tank. Again i am writing to you. I Just love your reactions to rock music. Loads of information, not only great music. I was a drummer back in a Day. Peter from London
I have dropped out of the reaction videos but I'm glad yours popped up! I'm always down to see Jinjer reactions and I too can't believe how few people seem to know them. They are one of the most musically talented bands I know. The sounds they come up with, the time changes, and implementing different styles so seamlessly I never get bored of listening. The knowledge you provide it top notch! I'm down for more 😀
Great review of a great show. The crowd is rather shy because although Atlas summer festival in Kyiv is quite big, it is not a metal festival in the first place, and back in 2018 Jinjer were still pretty unknown, even in Ukraine.
Awsome video! There should be ten like buttoms available for this song. Jinjer has definitely reawaken my passion for metal, as you said all the band is incredible.
YES! Thank you, sir. I feel like this reaction has been a long time coming. I always enjoy your reactions and the knowledge that you bring. Keep it up, bro.
I was supposed to have seen them back in May as part of their latest US tour, and I'm still bitter that COVID took that from me. I haven't wanted to see a band live this badly since SOAD.
You should check out a German band Null Positiv. The song Labyrinth from the official video Live Near Castle Festival is awesome (although in German). That song starts at 4:35.
Awesome reaction as always! How about checking out some of their older songs? Scissors, Exposed as a liar (Crowd Factory Official DVD trailer - Live), Outlander... all of these are good picks for your next videos.
Great reaction as always and same recommendations from me as always. I think I missed yesterday's because I was out all day. Tributo a mago de oz: molinos de viento And Ningen isu: heartless scat
Cloud Factory is from their earlier days and its heavy. I think it deserves a react. The official video has them playing as a band like their live shows
A little clarification for your remark on small crowd they were performing before. This was an annual Atlas music festival in Kyiv, Ukraine (multi-genres one), quite big, with attendance of half of a million people usually (it's being held during week or so). So, quite obvious, they are not the biggest "stars" on the stage, considering metal isn't the most popular genre in Ukraine. To say the least. That's a footage of 2017, I've been to their gig two years later, in 2019, at the same festival. They started at 4 p.m., if I'm not mistaken, they were the second band that performed that day on their stage (first was German band Megaherz). After them, russian punk band Порнофильмы ("Pornmovies") performed, and they gathered twice as much bigger crowd than Jinjer (and were being paid twice as much for their gig, as I found out from Eugene's interview later). What an irony: the band nobody knows about outside Ukraine and Russia is being paid twice bigger than the world famous band, and gathers way bigger crowd in their homeland. The biggest star of that evening on their stage was Liam Gallagher, former vocalist of famous English band Oasis. He started performing at 10 p.m.
One tight group - Live they are phenomenal. It still blows my mind how they aren't well known... Glad I was able to see them early, before they 'exploded'. Next time my bet is they won't be playing my tiny ass town... Baltimore will be left off of the billet... \m/ \m/ They deserve all of the success they are beginning to get!
I saw them 2018 at Summerbreeze in germany, I think, if i remember correctly, they were the second to last band on the smallest stage there. The Performance was awesome and honestly the best sounding band at the whole festival in my opinion. I think sound System was D&B V-Series.
I hope you do Outlander by Jinjer also. Killer song! The woman is a beast! She has Floor Jansen for breakfest🙈 And im a big fan of Floor! 🤘🏼 cheers! 👊🏼
@Radar Don It's perfectly fine to not like a band, but claiming that it's "not music" is probably the dumbest thing you could ever type. Both bands have immense talent behind them.
Ah, the internet. This is why you don't compare 1 artist to another by taking shots at them. While Nightwish does nothing for me at all, you can't objectively say that Floor Jansen is not a good vocalist, because she is amazing. You could have not mentioned Floor or any other person and you'd made the same point... i.e. you like Jinjer and this song. You're comparing apples to oranges, and now you've got Radar Don triggered, which in turn triggered Andrew Carter.
@Radar Don If you don't like their music there's 3, 234.298.278.333 other You Tube videos to watch, what's the point coming in here and shitting on Jinjer? Didn't Beiber and Arianna Grande do a vid together go watch that CLOWN!
100% criminally underrated. Even today, at their biggest. They can't possibly get enough respect. As much as you can throw at them, they deserve more.
She’s so freaking gorgeous in this performance

Same, I went to the same tour. Was a small venue in Vancouver, Canada. Was awesome
Criminally underrated indeed. So many folks doing Jinjer reactions, yours are some of my favorites! And yea- welcome to the Jinjer family. 🖤
Thanks a ton!
you prolly dont care at all but does any of you know of a way to get back into an Instagram account??

@Jase Arthur instablaster :)
I still recommend "Pit of Consciousness" and "On the Top" Live in Kiev. Absolutely incredible!
Yeah Tank just do fricken "PIT" already, it's so Stellar!
The best of their best!!!
Another vote for either of them. Killer tone
+1. must sees
I recommend all of their songs. Absolutely incredible!
I saw Jinjer twice in a 200 people club when they were still relatively unknown 🙂
same here, first time they go out of Ukraine was in Romania and Bulgaria, in small clubs
It's also pretty impressive how well Tatiana performs right out of the gate, I've seen vocalists who didn't sound that spot on on the first song in the set

Was rewatching this reaction and noted the performance was from 2017 in Kyiv, Ukraine...so sad...
I feel lucky to have seen Jinjer live twice already. I doubt I'll get another chance in such small venues, and they completely deserve to get huge.
You do the best reaction videos. 1, you actually understand what they are doing, 2, you provide insights, 3, the enthusiasm for the music

This band is awesome God!! Can’t wait to see them live this summer in Italy 🤘🤘😍😍
no much words here, just : grandiose, phenomenal, amazing
Holy shit, that ending breakdown reminds me so much of Papa Roach - Thrown Away 's ending! It has that funky feel to it
Hey Tank. Again i am writing to you. I Just love your reactions to rock music. Loads of information, not only great music. I was a drummer back in a Day. Peter from London
Thanks man!
I'm down for more 😀
What I love about Jinjer, all super talented, and they write for the song, not to have anyone try show off above other members.
One of my first Jinjer songs I saw.... love it. You need to revisit some Spiritbox!!!
Love your channel you are a different level to other reactors.
Thank you!
Well Brodie, this one I have been waiting for. It's one of the best.
😂
Hell yeah 🤘🤘I love this band😀stay heavy Tank🤘 Tom from Denmark 🇩🇰🇩🇰.
Great review of a great show. The crowd is rather shy because although Atlas summer festival in Kyiv is quite big, it is not a metal festival in the first place, and back in 2018 Jinjer were still pretty unknown, even in Ukraine.
You nailed it on the head ! The whole band rips ! 👍🤙🔥
Big fan of this band! This is gonna be awesome!
Very happy to be here for the premiere! :)
Thanks for being here!
Watching the Jinjer interview now. :)
@@TankTheTech Absolutely! You always do such a great job introducing bands and producing these videos! Happy to watch!
Captain Clock (live from Resurrection Fest) - should be your next one. Another brutal performance.
Great reaction, man, really enjoyable.
Great, and informative as usual. Keep up the good work man. Now I am off to check out your interview with Tati, and Eugene.
You should check out a German band Null Positiv. The song Labyrinth from the official video Live Near Castle Festival is awesome (although in German). That song starts at 4:35.
I highly recommend on the top official video, totally sick,or I speak astronomy official video!🤘🤘🤘
Dude I love your Channel I love your appreciation of Jinger
I had this video on repeat when I started listening to these magnificent beasts! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🔥
Good song when you have to do your daily chores.
Tributo a mago de oz: molinos de viento
And
Ningen isu: heartless scat
I agree with you on them being criminally underrated.
The Alive in Melbourne show was phenomenal.
YESSS Tank, been waiting for you to do this one!!!!
Cloud Factory is from their earlier days and its heavy. I think it deserves a react. The official video has them playing as a band like their live shows
Love your reactions , and I love how in depth with the equipment you are . Perfect!!!
Thank you for explaining what tracks are. I was curious about that and now I know!
This is such a great song and a great band!
8:52 Awesome reaction 🥲 love your יהוה ink 🤘🔥🤘 big fan of your channel!! Keep'em coming!!!🙌
I love the way of this song turn at the end ! A better way to chill before moshing harder ^^
Jinjer owned that stage🤘🔥💯
I saw them 2018 at Summerbreeze in germany, I think, if i remember correctly, they were the second to last band on the smallest stage there. The Performance was awesome and honestly the best sounding band at the whole festival in my opinion. I think sound System was D&B V-Series.
They were by far one of the crazy live experiences Last year
Watching Jinjer reaction videos should be an Olympic Sport! 😅
Dude, subbed. Your reactions are super informative!
Thanks a ton!
I really gotta go see this band live
"I'd lose my fucking mind, man!" LMAO Couldn't have put it better myself.
I hope you do Outlander by Jinjer also. Killer song! The woman is a beast! She has Floor Jansen for breakfest🙈
And im a big fan of Floor! 🤘🏼 cheers! 👊🏼
@Radar Don Hate to tell you, but you're an idiot.
@@Neal_TH-cam you mist the part i wrote that i love FJ😉
both are Great singers! 👌🏻
@Radar Don If you don't like their music there's 3, 234.298.278.333 other You Tube videos to watch, what's the point coming in here and shitting on Jinjer? Didn't Beiber and Arianna Grande do a vid together go watch that CLOWN!
Nice, definitely one of my favorites.
