Imagine you just get catapulted at superluminal speed into an unknown nebula by a space-time warping ringy-thingy and this is the first thing that comes up on long range scopes.💀
Humans: rectangular metal hull, pressure sealed with a rotating hab for gravity, and a vertical deck layout to utilize thrust gravity Advari: Triangle 🗿
Are they solar sails, or fantasy tech? I know real-life solar sails produce only miniscule thrust, but exaggerating their capabilities is a sci-fi classic.
The Advari got some interesting design choices. From what we can make out the wings are tucked in to the ship so it looks like a floating rombus but then come out. If making it consistent with real life physics they're most likely solar sails. Taking nautical to space to a whole other level lol
@@ledocteur7701 They aren't solar sails - solar sails have a thrust measured in single newtons or less, while some sail-equipped Advari vessels can accelerate hard enough that a pilot couldn't survive the g-forces. I suppose they could be some kind of plasmadyne (plasma magnet sail and associated drives), which sail on the solar wind (as in, the charged particles that come flying off the sun at 400 km/s and make auroras when they run into a planetary magnetic field), but the only one of those that can thrust in directions aside from 'away from the sun' is a q-drive (basically a solar wind turbine powering an ion thruster) which require an internal supply of reaction mass, which this doesn't appear to based on the lack of thrusters/drives.
Our first cinematic look at an Advari ship, and it is glorious. I'm guessing it's some kind of specialist craft created for the Inquisitors or a high-ranking member of the Faith Eternal, as opposed to a full-scale Lightship.
The principle of movement of this ship in space is interesting, as well as its power plant and dimensions, taking into account the design features of its hull and crew capacity, as well as its weapons
Theo was not involved with the making of this ship; The design is mine with adjustments by Ethan LeRoith, and the model and render are, as shown in the credits, Ethan LeRoith's.
If those are actually solar sails, the physics have been majorly fudged to make them produce not-miniscule thrust. My take is that this is actually some drift-based (or otherwise fantasy) tech that just happens to look sail-like.
@@DecidedlyNinja the physics have been fudged anyways, given Advar/The Wheel doing weird stuff in the sanctum. my best guess is that they utilise something to do with The Observer effect
Sail setup seems little strange? I'd be worried about not being able to flip as opposed to bank cause the sails are only in two d? Seems like they can gymbal 180 for each, which could work as far as I know. Presumably they're light enough to not affect the center of gravity mid rotation. I'd be fascinated to know if the sails are true solar sails (meaning they can only go away from the closest sun) or if they produce their own thrust, perhaps with stored solar power emitted/collected by the sails?

Simply stunning.
Now I understand just why the lightships are so dangerous: The hull looks almost like it's alive
SIMPLE GEOMETRY IS THE HIGHEST FORM OF EXISTENCE
it can be both the highest (F-117 Nighthawk) and the lowest (Zumwalt class)
[screams geometrically]
Shoutouts to the music REALLY selling the stark elegance of this thing. Ship look neat as hell.
Always nice to see an alien ship that doesn't look like a squid.
Unless they worship space creatures that look like sea animals.
@@shaftoe195 I've seen this movie. I refuse.
@@Terran123rd Wait I need reference to that I'm intrigued about that worm
@DarkSamael55 Stellaris, The Worm-in-Waiting.
Man, I'm just obsessing over that kaleidoscope effect on the ship's hull.
That was a brilliant touch.

Unfolding origami triangle!

From what I could gather from the show it's not a simple solar sails, there's some incredibly cool ancient tech stuff going on with the Advari.

@ledocteur7701 Question is, where does it come from? They haven't moved out, nor was it seen they have the capability of manufacturing such vessels.

Aeldari ship? Are you getting confused with WH40K lol
@ Sorry. Thanks for catching that

Wait till the imperial armada encounters those Advari xenos

I'm gonna be honest, that's not how I was picturing Advari ships... but she's so beautiful I can't picture them any other way now.
Amazing new design and a great first true look into Advari design.
Praise be to Advar.

@@GabrielGABFonseca Ahh, thank you for the clarification. Great design and can't wait to see more about the Light Ships.
Oh so they’re *alien* alien
Bloody gorgeous in design and the music. Love it and can't wait!
Holy s*** that alien design is f***ing fire!!!!!
Been waiting so long to see the design of a light ship. Hope we get to see these in battle breakdowns.
So cool! The 13th cant come soon enough!!
Holy Light Ship
I am SO READY.
Nice work.
I AM LOSING MY ADVAR DAMN MIND ANCHDOWPFHDJSLSI WHAT THE HELLLLLL

Damn, best ship design ever!
danm, she's beautilful and also look dangerous at the same time
Is this a lightship or something closer to a flyer?
TRONGLE
Am I the only one who thinks it kinda looks like a wraith dart?
oh hell yea always wanted to know what the advari(?) ships looked like
Awesome!
You see kids, angular starships can be angular too!
Woah!
Awesome 🤩 I'm looking forward to the 13.
ooo, pyramid tech
It’s beautiful
wow
